Q:   How successful is the placement cell in securing jobs for BCA students at College of Commerce, Art and Science?

    A:
    {Source: BCA students & alumni}

Placement Cell Success Rate for BCA Students

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's an analysis of the success rate of the placement cell in securing jobs for BCA students at College of Commerce, Arts, and Science:

    * Limited Job Opportunities: Most reviewers agree that the placement cell does not offer many job opportunities to BCA students, especially those who are not pursuing postgraduate studies (MCA/MBA).
    * Companies Visiting Campus: While some companies like TCS, ICICI Prudential, and Wipro visit the campus for recruitment, they mostly look for PG students and fewer opportunities are available for undergraduate students.
    * Average Salary Package: Those who do manage to secure a job through the placement cell typically receive an average salary package ranging from INR2.5 Lacs to INR3.5 Lacs per annum.
    * Training Programmes: However, the college offers 100 days of training to students to prepare them for placements, which can be beneficial in improving employability skills.

It appears that while the college does provide some placement assistance, the success rate for BCA students is limited due to the type of companies visiting the campus and the focus on hiring PG students over undergraduates.

    Bachelor of computer application.
Placements: So basically, there is a placement Cell responsible for placement drive, companies like TCS, ICIC prudentials comes for placement, TCS also provides training programme in College campus, before placement, placement are average u can get upto 3.5 Lacs, Although if you are in BCA (or in any UG vocational courses they have very less opportunities, as these placements are generally for PG students MCA MBA). .
Infrastructure: So infrastructure is good, College has new building for vocational UG courses classes are well furnished, there is smart class also, along with computer labs, however the building is partially completed and partially underconstruction, there is separate library for faculty you can issue books regarding your courses. There is no Hostel facility inside the College campus. Although there is a combined Hostel of University but is around 2 -3 km away which was recently inaugurated. There is a canteen inside the campus.
Faculty: The faculty teachers are well educated and helpful, they also help by providing particular guidelines regarding what to choose as a career option, they also help by guiding for going for off campus placements. In UG courses exams are held yearly by University, not semester wise. Exams are not so much difficult if you study sincerely 2 -3 months you can score good marks.
Other: So as of now this college comes under patliputra University. The session is completed on time. Classes are regularly held, in BCA department and in other vocational course. Campus is small but good enough, parking facility is available, canteen is also there.

    I'm satisfied with this college.
Placements: Few students get placed in our college. The average salary package offered is 2.5 LPA to 3 LPA. Students are allowed for placements in the final year. The recruiting companies are TCS, ICICI Prudential, Wipro, etc. Our college provides 100 days of training to students to prepare them for placements.
Infrastructure: Our college has a special building for vocational courses which is known as Technical Bhawan. It is a new building with Wi-Fi, labs, and library facilities. Classrooms are small which are sufficient for 60 students but there are 120 students in each class.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are well qualified and they teach students very well. The course curriculum is old compared with the modern-day syllabus. Our college conducts final exams every year on time.
Other: I chose this course to pursue a degree in vocational course. The course curriculum should be improved.

It is a very good college to study in.
Placements: Our college invites top companies to recruit students. Around 9 to 12 students get placed in big companies every year. Students with 75% to 80% of marks get high placements.
Infrastructure: Hostel is available in our college with good facilities. Students have to apply for hostels. It has a top class and clean mess and canteen. Many sweepers and guards are available in the hostels. Hostel has a good environment.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are very good, well-qualified, supportive, understanding, and hard-working. They provide the best knowledge to students. There is a good relationship between students and teachers.

Really good college if you are looking for private colleges and Patna University.
Placements: The eligibility to get placed in this course is approximately 60% and above. Last year, the highest package was INR 3,50,000. TCS from Tata, LIC and many more from private limited companies visit for recruitment. Internship of a student depends on their performance and skill level. Approximately 40 - 60% students got internship in TCS. It's a professional course and whatever we learned in this is based on Technologies and IT sectors.
Infrastructure: The facilities such as free Wi-Fi, computer labs, drinking water, library and many more facilities are available. Classroom has smart or digital boards for better education. The college has it's own canteen where food is good but slightly high priced. For sports and games fields are available.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and have a good teaching experience. They are always available for their students. But due to a lack of an upgraded syllabus they teach only from the limited syllabus. But they try to give some extra knowledge. Semester exams or any exam happening in this college is slightly difficult as teachers guarding the exams are strict during exams. Pass percentage is 70%.
Other: Since childhood, my great expertise were in the technologies, tech life, software and all, that's why I chose BCA as a career option. The best thing about this course is that we get an IT environment and makes it easy to get achievements in this field. University should have to keep their syllabus up to date. They must upgrade because students needs to know about the latest technologies and inventions. Scholarships and events are happening almost everyday to keep students active towards their skills and explore new things.

Education & facility in COCAS Patna.
Placements: The students who are extra talented and have good potential to get selected in placement get placed. Students who got 75-85% in academic curricular have chances to get job in the placement shell. By the placement point of view, college of commerce arts and science, Patna is not up to the mark but other facilities like education and faculty are really awesome.
Infrastructure: College has really good facilities in infrastructure and environment wise. College of commerce arts and science has a good speed Wi-Fi connection in the campus which really helps students in educational fields and do their stuff conveniently. A library is available in the college where students can avail books using library card. Computer labs are really awesome and student get used to computer using computers in lab. All classrooms in BCA department have a smart class facility.
Faculty: College have some really good teachers/faculty. Faculty always try to help out students who have any problem in the academic field. Teachers are always available to guide students during computer lab. Faculty have really good teaching quality and are good teachers in their department .
Other: I chose Bachelor of Computer Application because I have good interest in computer and want to pursue a job in information technology (IT) field.
