Placement Cell Success Rate for BCA Students

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's an analysis of the success rate of the placement cell in securing jobs for BCA students at College of Commerce, Arts, and Science:

* Limited Job Opportunities: Most reviewers agree that the placement cell does not offer many job opportunities to BCA students, especially those who are not pursuing postgraduate studies (MCA/MBA).

Read this before taking admission in COCAS College Patna.
Placements: Placement is good in our college as 50 to 60% of students get placed and the minimum salary offered is 2.80 LPA, and the highest is 4 LPA. Companies like TCS, Wipro, ICICI Bank, etc. come for recruitment. You can apply for an internship out of college, but our college doesn't provide internships.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good in our college as there is a library where you can study and also get books. The parking area is big. The canteen is also here. The sports field is there; you can play cricket, badminton, etc. games. Wi-Fi, science lab, etc. We have no hostel facility on the college campus.
Faculty: The faculty is quite old-school, and they teach well and give you long notes. The curriculum is good and based on management courses. Exams are easy to qualify for if you study through the syllabus. Teachers are experienced, so you can ask your queries and doubts. Also, a coordinator is there to hear your complaints.
Other: I chose this course as I was interested in the business and entrepreneurship field. Also, this college is on the main road, so I preferred this. The campus is good, and social life is helpful. You can interact with many students in our college.

Everything is good but placements are poor.
Placements: When we talk about placements, no students get placed. There is no highest or lowest package concept because there are no placements. Recently, TCS came for the recruitment for B.A. Hons. in economics students. Some percentage of students got internships.
Infrastructure: Talking about facilities and infrastructure available in my college, all are good. There is a fully Wi-Fi campus, well-furnished labs, many classrooms have smart classes, and a well-furnished library. I have no idea about the hostel because I'm not opted for the hostel facility. Sports clubs are good, and games, especially, I liked most.
Faculty: Yes, all faculty are helpful for the students, well educated and they have great knowledge about the particular subject. And his teaching quality is fantastic. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant. Yes, those who study hard obviously are ready for industry. If students attend classes regularly, then semester exam for the students is easy. The maximum number of students pass easily.
Other: I'm passionate about economics and my favourite subject is economics; that's why I chose this course. My course helped me understand what I should do in the future. I want some changes in course subjects. I wish new subjects were added in future programs Everything is well done.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty and good placement in 2023.
Placements: 40% of students were placed in my course. The highest package was 5 Lacs, the lowest package was 1 Lac, and the average package was 3 Lacs. The top recruiting company is Bajaj Allianz. 40% of students got internships from my course in Bajaj Allianz. Content Writers: Develop articles, blogs, and website content. Copywriters: Craft persuasive content for advertising and marketing. Technical Writers: Produce user manuals, guides, and technical documentation.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructure are average. There is no hostel. Sports and games are awesome. Well-equipped Classrooms: Modern classrooms with audio-visual aids like projectors and smart boards to facilitate interactive learning. Seminar Halls: Space for guest lectures, workshops, and seminars on literature and language.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality is good. The semester examination is a little bit hard. 33% is the passing mark. Well-equipped Classrooms: Modern classrooms with audio-visual aids like projectors and smart boards to facilitate interactive learning. Seminar Halls: Space for guest lectures, workshops, and seminars on literature and language.
Other: Enhanced Language and Communication Skills. Cultural Awareness. Creative Development. Encourages self-reflection and broadens perspectives about life.

Average experience.
Placements: Getting placement here is pure luck, the people from here know that government college doesn't have much to offer. The average placement is around 1 LPA. Most of the jobs are basically in labs as helping or at operation at diagnostic labs. Most the students choose to do M.Sc. or whatever they desire for a better package. In college time also have great option to do training/free internships at local government labs and hospital for a good experience.
Infrastructure: The college provides a very basic facilities like old fashioned classrooms, slow Wi-Fi and a few labs. The college doesn't have a hostel. The department itself just packs up in a single floor with a library, labs and a seminar hall. The classrooms are big enough for 30-40 students. The labs are not the best but just average enough for students to get the experience.
Faculty: The teachers are quite okay, as long as you are willing to study you can keep up with it. Most of teachers are friendly if you get to know them. The exams are not so difficult, you just need 33% in main paper to qualify. The syllabus is vast filled with various subjects. The main paper consist of 2 different papers combining a total of 200 marks.
Other: The course is very cheap when compared to other colleges in India, for the price it's manageable. The college has a very compact and crowded campus, it's difficult to spend time in campus. The are many events that happens in college but most of them include sitting in hall and listening to the cheif guest.

Absolutely satisfied with the college.
Placements: 2-3% of students were placed in my course. In 2022, INR 5–2 LPA was the highest and lowest package. Tata, Max, HDFC Life, etc. are the top recruiting companies. 2–3% of students got internships from my course at Tata, Max, and many more other companies. In my course, there are no top roles offered.
Infrastructure: Many facilities are provided in my course, for example, Wi-Fi, classrooms, libraries, playgrounds, smart classes, etc.  At my college, there are no hostel facilities provided to students. But on my campus, there are many things available, like a canteen, medical facilities, sports, etc.
Faculty: Yes, in my faculty, teachers are very helpful, well-qualified, and knowledgeable. Teaching is very good; the way they teach is very simple and smooth. Yes, this course curriculum is relevant. Year 2022 was quietly difficult; not more than 60–70% of students could pass.
Other: I chose this course because of my interest in it. I think this course is very interesting compared to other courses.  Nothing to be improved, everything is perfect.

Life at College of Commerce, Arts and Science, Magadh University.
Placements: In this college there is no placement, but some companies like TCS, Bajaj Finance and many others come to college with their courses for only vocational students, not regular students. After you complete the course based on your marks in the course, they offer you for a job.
Infrastructure: Yes, there is a fully WiFi campus. There is a fully functional computer lab for all courses. And the science lab, botany lab, and chemistry lab are also here. There is a fully AC classroom. And there is no mess facility but the canteen is very good, and the price of the canteen is affordable. But one disappointment is that there is no hostel facility.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful, qualified, knowledgeable and also very supportive. If you have a problem related to your subject and you ask them, they will help you. And it's making students industry-ready. Because from the second year of your course they start giving you projects like internships.
