It is a good engineering college.

Placements: Anna University provided the best placement opportunities. Many top MNCs come here every year for recruitment. To get placement in top companies, you need to score above 80%. In the previous year, around 70% of students got placed in companies like Cisco, Havells, Bajaj, etc. The placement process was organised well. Top recruiting companies were Cisco, Bajaj, Havells, Philips, etc. Internships started in the final semester. Students had to find internships on their own. Some students got good i...

CEG is a dream place for most of the students.

Placements: There are 100% placements for students in the department of computer science. Companies like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, PayPal, Flipkart, Citicorp, Amazon, etc., recruit students as interns and full-time employees. The packages offered to many students ranged from 15 LPA to 20 LPA. At least 20% of students from each department got internships in the college.

It is one of the good colleges in Tamil Nadu for media studies.

Placements: Our college has 92% of placements for every year. We have 12 LPA salary packages at present. I'm presently studying in the 7th semester. I heard from seniors that the placements are the best because we are placed in well-reputed companies.

Placements: The strength of our class is 60 students, out of which almost 25 students got placed and a few got internships offers (full-time offers might be provided after the internship based on their performance). Around 12 companies visited our campus through the placement cell (CUIC). Good exposure and international recognition, but dissatisfied because of placements for EEE.

Placements: Quality of companies that visit the college for placements has been gradually declining over the years, both in terms of packages and profiles. People in the electrical department tend to get placed in the IT sector which is nowhere related to their course. The highest salary package offered is 17 LPA, and it is offered by Samsung, Bangalore. The lowest salary package offered is 3 LPA by an average company. Review of COE and material science department.

Placements: Placements in the college are good. Most of the students get placed in IT. Even core companies preferred to recruit IT and CSC students this year. Students prefer to choose a career in their respective field, and there are no ways to chose our career here. We have to go with the flow, or we have to go for other things like UPSC or GATE and may opt for higher studies.

Good college with decent placements.

Placements: The placements offered by the college are good, and they have 100 percent placements. Multinational companies like Infosys, Cognizant, TCS, Wipro hire the students in bulk numbers ranging from 200-400 people. Many core companies also visit the college. They only select a few students, on an average, ten students per batch. The salary packages offered are good.

College of Engineering Guindy - CEG Chennai.

Placements: Placements were good. But the companies are not core companies. They're from IT and few other platforms. We were looking for companies which are related to our department. The department needs to send the students for more industrial visits so they can get a lots of opportunities in core companies.
