Placements: There are 100% placements for the students in the department of computer science. The companies like Microsoft, Goldman Sachs, PayPal, Flipkart, Citicorp, Amazon, and so on recruited the students as interns and full time. The CTC offered to many students was in the range between 15 LPA to 20 LPA. At least 20% of the students from each department got internships in the college.
Placements: Almost all the engineering colleges invite IT companies. CEG also invites IT companies for master's degree students, but for UG guys, there are not many core companies that come here to recruit. In my batch, a single person got selected for TCS while another person got selected for Hyundai.
Placements: We underwent some campus placement recruitment. But they were focusing on the engineering courses. I am from media sciences department, and I am no way nearer to the engineering capabilities. We expected companies are particularly focusing media, but till now nothing on our way. The students selecting media studies in Anna university expecting the recruitment can think twice before they place the leg.
Placements: The placements are good, but the students are expected to maintain a minimum CGPA to enter the placements. It stops the students who have talents but couldn't shine in academics to enter into the placement cell. It has been said that the placement is up to 95%. But I think it is not so. The students are also not trained well prior entering placements.
Placements: The placements for the college is good for the computer science and the IT department. But for the department, the chances are less and restricted. The placement cell is not taking necessary steps for the betterment of the placement opportunities for other departments. And for computer science and IT too, they are not negotiating the package. They have the power to negotiate.
Placements: We do have good placements like Hindu and many press companies. Also, we do get some of the ink companies from Dubai for the printing branch. Regular placements are from companies like Chennai Micro Print and Parkson. Our senior batch had placements in ink companies from Dubai and Parkson. There are also many bulk companies that are IT-related in which students of any department can go for placements Cognizant and TCS are the companies that come for bulk placements. ...
Placements: The core branches have promising placements with at least 5 LPA as the minimum package. But this is not the case for other branches. As far as my department is concerned, the placements are very poor. Placement cell plays a double game. They are least bothered about minority departments and the non-core branches.
Placements: Our senior students got placed well and in good companies. 50% students got placed. The highest salary is Rs. 28,000 and the lowest salary is Rs. 8500. Wipro visited and software developer role was offered. The highest stipend offered is Rs. 15000 and the lowest stipend offered is Rs. 8000. But most of our students struggled to go in placements due to the lack of aptitude questions and answers.
Placements: In our batch, almost all got placed within December. The maximum package was 21 lakhs and the minimum went up to 3.5 lakhs. Airtel, Samsung, Cisco, Nokia, Caterpillar and Qualcomm were the companies which visited. Apart from these, software firms like Wipro, CTS, TCS and Accenture also visited and recruited people.
Placements: The placements for the last year batch are little lower than the previous one. It is because of the prevailing instabilities in the industries, as my seniors told me. Lowest pay - 2.5 lacs per annum, highest pay - 21 lacs per annum. Amazon, Freshdesk, Microsoft were the companies in which students were placed for higher salaries. Other than those we had Caratlane, Samsung, Cognizant, Accenture, TCS as other recruiters. Very few people only got the internships. The stipends rangeD from 3500-5000...
Placements: The placement scenario for my batch is poor when compared to my senior batch, but still, the C.S students have very good opportunities. So far, around 100 companies visited but most of them are for computer science. The 3rd-year students usually get the internships, but only a minimal amount of the students receive offers. Those who are getting placed will get a decent salary ranging from 5 LPA to 24 LPA.
Placements: We get a good placements from the info-tech companies like Infosys,TCS etc. We are also allowed to be clubbed with mechanical department students and sit along with them for placements which includes companies like Renault, Ford etc. There are specific companies that look for guys for our department like TVS- Sundaram Clayton etc.
Yes it is one of the oldest colleges but don't get deceived by it. We (Mining) had only two companies for placements in 2015. (Which gradually decreasing every year). If you want to get placed my sincere advice would be to study for GATE (even professors here says that only; they don't take steps to get you the companies). Other than placements, the campus is very good and a lot of scope to enrich yourself in extracurricular activities (NCC, NSS, Clubs, fests, Symposium) is provided. Opportuni...
Placements: The placement opportunities in this year is a little bit poor compared to last year. But all the students got internship opportunities in many startup companies and some of them got into companies like Amazon, RedBus etc. , The highest salary package offered is 10 LPA and the lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA.
Placements: 20% of students get placed in my course. The highest package was INR 10 lpa, and the lowest was INR 2 lpa. The average package is INR 4 lpa. The recruiting companies are Siemens, TCS, etc. Only 10% of students got internship opportunities on campus. If you need better placement, then go for the teaching role.
Placements: Almost 50% of students got placed in our course. Almost all of them got placed in the core companies. The highest salary package offered is 39 LPA. The average salary package offered is 6.9 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Caterpillar, Tata Groups, Hyundai, etc. Every student must attend an internship to complete the course. Faculty members support students to get internships. Top roles offered are industrial engineer, IC engines engineer, thermal eng...
Placements: The placements for my batch are very poor and even for the seniors as well. The placements are ongoing right now. So I don't know the exact details. There's a government body placement cell called CUIC. I'm not aware of companies that visited our college, as I'm not sitting for placements. The campus is huge.
Placements: In our college, the placements were low. But they had undergone several internships and implants. Companies like Titan, Hinduja foundries visited our campus. Apart from this several other software companies like Samsung, Cognizant software solutions also visited our campus, and students got placed. The percentage will be below 50%.
