Honest review of College of Engineering, Attingal.
Placements: Last year, placements at our college were fewer compared to previous years. The average package offered to students was around INR 3.5 LPA. Some of the main companies that visited included Qburst, UST, and others. The college has a dedicated placement cell that conducts training programs twice a year, each lasting for one week.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is decent. The Wi-Fi is free and available throughout the campus, though the speed is quite low. All computer labs are air-conditioned and have good internet connections. The college also has a pretty decent library. However, there is no hostel facility available.
Faculty: Most of the teachers are experienced and student-friendly. The course duration is four years, divided into eight semesters, with each semester having external exams for all subjects. In addition, there are mini projects, a main project, and a seminar spread across the last three semesters. While some subjects are easy to study, others can be a bit challenging.
Other: Every year, the college hosts an inter-college techno-cultural fest called Daksha Yanthra. There are also various student clubs like IEEE, IEDC, GDSC, and more that provide additional learning opportunities.

Peaceful Atmosphere for Education.
Placements: Almost 60% of every class are getting placed. The highest package offered was 12 Lacs per annum; the lowest is about 5 to 6 Lacs, and the average package offered is around 8-10 Lacs per annum. Most recruitment is done by companies like Tata, Qburst, Kinfra, UST Global, and so on.
Infrastructure: There is no college hostel; we should privately acquire one. The college is a small and peaceful space for students, which ensures students are not crowded. The food in the canteen is good, but there isn't an ideal menu to stick to, so we cannot move on the basis of a timetable for our food habits.
Faculty: Teachers are more than qualified; some of them have immense knowledge about their specialized courses. They ensure our presence in class, but there are faculty members who can be a bit rude, like 1 in 100, so it's okay. We've been under the mentoring of certain faculty members since the day of admission, which makes the place a little bit special.

Varied opinion on the faculty, placements, and Infrastructure.
Placements: 90% eligible students in CS EC, EEE of 2022-23 batch are placed in leading MNCs with average salary in the range 3 Lacs to 7.5 Lacs. Over 10 students have multiple offers from leading MNCs. The career guidance and placement cell are the most active student body in the campus.
Infrastructure: Our college has Wi-Fi, Library and pretty spacious classrooms. One seminar hall, one auditorium, and many labs. Our college has a wide enough ground to play football and cricket also a space for volleyball and another for badminton. The college doesn't provide a campus hostel they made arr outs college for the stay of students. Not a big canteen but pretty good snacks and food available.
Faculty: There are pretty good teachers as well as some not so good. There are teachers who complete the course with enough pace so that every student can keep up and some teachers are not even keeping up with the course syllabus, us students were left with 2 modules for self study for the sem exam.

A small college built with great ambitions.
Placements: Our college has a 60 to 70% placement ratio. The highest salary package would be around 80 LPA, and the lowest would be around 30 LPA. The top recruiting companies for my course are Tata Consultancies, HMSC, Foxconn, etc. Around 40% of students from my course got the opportunity to do internship in these previously mentioned companies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is the bare minimum, I would say. Our college consists of 4 buildings. There are two academic buildings and two buildings for labs and workshops. There is a playground in front of one of the academic blocks, which can be used for sports like cricket football, etc. There is also a canteen in our college.
Faculty: Excellent faculty members, in my opinion. They are always there on time to clarify your doubts or provide new insight in an area of the subject. They are extremely supportive and will provide the utmost care in teaching in the best way possible. Our exams are comparatively tough, but with enough effort, anyone can ace top marks.
Other: I chose my course in order to fulfill my dream of becoming a space scientist. The field of electronics and communication is an optimal way for me to reach my goal. For the improvement of my course, I would suggest including more concepts and theories on the new generation of engineering methods in our syllabus. That would be very helpful. Daksha Yanthra, our techno-cultural festival, is done annually and is a great platform for our students to showcase their artistic and technical abilities in front of the world.

Over 10 students have multiple offers from the leading MNCs.
Infrastructure: Our college offers excellent facilities, including well-equipped labs, modern classrooms, and a resource-rich library. The library provides a vast collection of books, guides, and past exam papers, helping students prepare effectively. These resources support comprehensive learning and growth.

There are mixed reviews about the college, with varied opinions on placements, and infrastructure.
Placements: UST Global, IBS, Quest Global, QBURST, and similar companies come for placement drives every year. Ninety percent of eligible students from CS, EC, and EEE of the 2023 batch have been placed in leading MNCs with an average salary ranging from 3 Lacs to 7.5 Lacs. Over 10 students have multiple offers from the leading MNCs.
Infrastructure: The course infrastructure is adequate as they follow the APJKTU syllabus, and there isn't much stress regarding the provided syllabus. Classrooms are nearby, and college Wi-Fi is available. There are three computer labs, one library, and several other labs.
Faculty: The faculty here are generally good; however, not all of them teach in a way that resonates with students, making it difficult for students to grasp the concepts. Nevertheless, most teachers conduct classes effectively. Internal exams are held twice per semester, followed by a final semester exam. Internal exams are worth 50 marks, while the semester exam is worth 100 marks.
