Student review of College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar.

Placements: Placement percentage is above 70% in PCM. The highest package is of 20 Lacs per annum and the lowest is of 5 Lacs per annum. Top recruiters include Google, Amazon, etc. On campus placements are a bit hard to get due to huge number of students, so you can also try off campus just to be safe.

Before 2018-2019, our college was like an Autonomous College.

Placements: Only 10% of students are placed in our course. The lowest is 1.2 Lacs per annum, and the maximum is 1.7 Lacs per annum. Shree Cement & SPD Construction are the companies. No student got an internship. Junior Engineer & Site Engineer are the most preferred jobs available. This is the problem for everyone who is from a Tier 3 college. I am facing the same issue. The campus package is not more than 3 Lacs per annum. I was feeling very bad asking pass-out seniors about jobs. Then someone gave me a w...

Decent placements offered.

Placements: About 50% of students usually get placed in every batch among the top companies like TCS, IBM, Tech Mahindra, Accenture, etc. About 20% students are currently working as interns and this number may increase in upcoming days. They got roles like Product manager, Plant maintenance, Data Science engineering, etc.

I am appreciated and encouraged by our college and dissatisfied with placements of 2017 batch.

Placements: About 70% of students got placed in our course. The salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies like Infosys, TCS, Wipro visited the campus. Many students were placed in an internship. My college campus is suitable for outside state students, and there is a communication system for other institutions. About 50% of students got an internship.

A heterogeneous mixture of procrastination and undergrowth of career and aims.

Placements: The percentage of students placed varies between 60-80% every year. The median of the salary is 2.4lpa while the highest is often 4lpa. The top recruiters are local companies around Bhubaneswar namely Ajatus Software. The students mostly intern in BSNL which itself is in Bhubaneswar and it more of a training session in Cisco Packet Router than an internship.

Satisfied with the placements and hostel but research work must be encouraged.

Placements: Most of the IT companies visit the college for placements. Companies like TCS, Tech Mahindra, Aurus Pvt Ltd, Shriram Panels, IBS and many more companies visit the campus for recruitment. The placement team is very active and supports the students in every possible aspect. Many core companies also visit the campus to offer placements with a basic salary package. The placement cell has supported us and also notified us about the companies.

There were a lot of good and bad things in the college, so I'm averagely satisfied.

Placements: In my time, the placements were a lit bit good, but not satisfying, the number of requirements of on-campus was not available. There were a lot of students in my batch, but a few numbers of campuses takes place. So, my batchmates are annoying for this worries. These are the main issues in my time.

Overall my college is good, but don't join expecting that you will get a job.

Placements: I can say that placements are good, but not up to the mark which I expected at the time of joining. We are expected to get hired after our BTech is over, but unfortunately, that did not happen. Placement support is not up to the mark, They can't deliver what people expect.

The only thing that would remain forever with this college is its good location.

Placements: The placements are decent. Don't expect much, earlier, it had a good reputation for placements, but gradually, the graph is going down. If you opt CS/IT, don't worry, you will get plenty of opportunities in the campus drives than the core branches.

My honest review on College Of Engineering, Bhubaneswar.

Placements: CEB comes under BPUT. The chances of placements for CS, IT and ETC branch are good. But for the core students, this institution doesn't provide many opportunities. I was a mechanical engineering student, and I didn't get any placement from the college. I would personally suggest studying in CV Raman or Silicon or ITER college rather than CEB.

Overall, it is a good college.

Placements: Placements were good until my time. Now it went down. In the year 2017, the placements were not too good but were up to the mark. Mostly, BPOs and for CS branch related companies were called, and for core, hardly 8 to 10 companies were called. Every person did their internships in MNCs. An average stipend of about Rs. 10,000 was offered. There is a placement cell, which is very useful.
