Student review of College of Engineering, Bhubaneswar.
Placements: Placement percentage is above 70% in PCM. The highest package is of 20 Lacs per annum and the lowest is of 5 Lacs per annum.
Top recruiters include Google, Amazon, etc.
On campus placements are a bit hard to get due to huge number of students, so you can also try off campus just to be safe.
Infrastructure: There are many lab like Electronic, Electrical, Mechanical, Physics and Chemistry etc. Food quality of the hostel is not good. I did not like the food in hostels, but the rooms are great. Cleaning facilities are very good but time limit for outing is very less.
Faculty: To be honest not all teachers are great and helpful; a few of them are very helpful. Every teacher is good in their own field. Curriculum is relevant. Semester exams are quite difficult.
Other: Computer is my favourite subject sp that's why I chose this. I would say if you'll get more project and presentation to submit then it'll boost our confidence level
Yes we have technical events and very much fun .

Review of College of Engineering Bhubaneswar.
Placements: Students got placed in our college with the highest and average salary packages. The highest salary package offered for a software developer in 2022 was 12 LPA.
Infrastructure: Our college provides all facilities like Wi-Fi, a chemical lab, a physics lab, a programming lab, an electrical lab, etc. Labs are available for respective branch students. The hostel has a huge playground for cricket and football. The hostel faculty members arrange activities to showcase our talents.
Faculty: All teachers are helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. They teach us fluently, so we can understand easily. This course curriculum is relevant. It makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not much difficult in our college.
Other: I am a CSE student. I chose this course because of my interest in exploring technology. Our college conducts many activities.

Disappointed with finance
Placements: The placement rate is very low in our course and specially in our whole college, only 30-50%. Highest package was 4 LPA and lowest was 1.5 LPA. TCS, Wipro, HCL, Royal Enfield, OD Tech were the top recruiting companies. No one got internship from college. Mostly sales and few IT roles are offered.
Infrastructure: We have got simple classroom with no projectors whereas there are projectors for MCA and b-tech. We have got access to library, computer labs and access to various clubs in our college. Food is average, no medical facility in college, multiple clubs are there.
Faculty: Some teachers are quite experienced working here since pas 10-15 years, while as some are freshly hired. Both are cooperative and good according to their accomplishments. Curriculum only builds base, not industry ready. Passing percentage is 80%.
Other: M y reason for choosing is pocket friendly, easy commuting, average facilities. Finance department really needs improvements as they charge fines over pending fee. They say that there is EMI facility available but no, it's a total false statement. They'll ask you to pay whole year fee within 1 month. After semester exam if you don't you'll be fined with 2% on remaining amount each month. Scholarship is available for SC, ST, OBC, SEBC. There are multiple events such as tech fests, multiple workshops conducted.

Our college provides good placements.
Placements: More than 50% of students get placements in our college. The highest salary package offered is 8 LPA and the average salary package is 3.5 LPA to 4 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Infosys, Tata, HCL, and Wipro. Around 50% to 60% of students get internships. Our college provides a good future for average students also.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are available in our college. Free Wi-Fi is available in our college and hostel. Labs are available for all subjects to provide practical knowledge for students. The quality of food served in the hostel is good. Medical facilities and sports are not available. Hostel rooms are clean.
Faculty: Teachers in our college are knowledgeable and good with students. The course curriculum is good. Our college is linked with Biju Patnaik University. Semester exams are conducted strictly by the university.
Other: I chose this course because it provides a good future. Our campus is not big. Extracurricular activities organised in our college are less.

The college has good infrastructure without maintenance.
Placements: The placement is good. If you are CSE student and you are interested into coding you can easily grab 4 lpa+. Every year our college gives 90-95% placement. As per the package the highest package is 12.5 lpa and average package is 3.5 lpa. Our college get us good companies like, Infosys, TCS, Wipro, Tech Mahindra and many more.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is neither good nor bad. Wi-fi facility is good. Classrooms and labs are student friendly. The canteen food is average.
Hostel is very good. Every floor has a separate wi-fi connections. Which is very good for us and good for our study we can access with Internet without any problem. Food is also good and hygienic for us. We play cricket in evening time so we can refresh our minds. Also play badminton in night hostel have these equipment's for sport purpose.
Faculty: All faculty are good and very helpful, qualified and knowledgeable and known what students are facing problem. Teachers are also organizing seminar and advice the students to take part. In case of industry exposure and professional growth, a lot more advancement is needed. The course curriculum was useful.
Other: Every year the college organizes cultural events, sport events and tech fest.

Before 2018-2019, our college was like an Autonomous College.
Placements: Only 10% of students are placed in our course. The lowest is 1.2 Lacs per annum, and the maximum is 1.7 Lacs per annum. Shree Cement & SPD Construction are the companies. No student got an internship. Junior Engineer & Site Engineer are the most preferred jobs available. This is the problem for everyone who is from a Tier 3 college. I am facing the same issue. The campus package is not more than 3 Lacs per annum. I was feeling very bad asking pass-out seniors about jobs. Then someone gave me a wise suggestion: He told me to find a good company, not a big company. Let me explain, I am a machine learning enthusiast, and he told me to find a startup that is working on data science and machine learning. Don’t worry about salary. It may be very less, but in that organization, you will get the best work experience. Your learning curve will be vertical. Believe me, you will see a wide difference in yourself after 1 year because in a startup, you have to work professionally on your own for a long time (1-1.5 years). After that, you can start applying for big corporates. Now your confidence and professional skills will help you to crack any interview. Don’t waste time or spend a year to find a high-paying job. Or else, if you have good enough skills that fulfill the requirements of big corporates, then definitely you can apply now.
Infrastructure: Average facilities and infrastructure are available for our course. Classrooms are good, but labs are not good enough, and machines are very old, with some also not working. The hostel is below average. They take 72,000 per year but provide average quality food, and the rooms are also below average. The canteen is also average and not preferable for all.
Faculty: Teachers and faculty members are good and helpful. They are cooperative and make us understand everything. Semester exams are quite tough, but still, students manage to clear the exams. The passing percentage is around 70-80%. For most of us, college is the first time you’re living away from home, and it takes a lot of getting used to. I’m beginning to wonder if it’s all just a concocted ruse to become industry specialists in the fine art of doing one’s own laundry. But when you’re delivered at the hostel doorstep, starry-eyed and full of cinematic visions of giant groups of friends, crazy nights, and all kinds of hi-jinks you’d probably be telling your kids about someday, no one tells you that not everyone enjoys college. All my life, I’d always attended private schools in cities where people were more or less similar, and you quickly found your type and settled in. Being relatively cosmopolitan, cultural or religious differences didn’t really matter because you couldn’t see how the person in front was different from you.
Other: Civil engineering is not my first choice, but unfortunately, I chose this stream as I had no choice. Actually, I wanted to do Automobile Engineering, but it's not available in my city.
