It is an average college.
Placements: About 70% of students are placed in top biotechnology and other fields. This course offers research-level jobs, and it is one of the emerging courses in India and other countries. Many students are doing internships by the second semester and are doing well in the field.
Infrastructure: The department has seven labs, which are well-equipped for research. Wi-Fi and other facilities are available. The canteen food is average but acceptable. The labs are well-equipped, and the level of instruction is good.
Faculty: The semester mark depends 50% on two continuous assessment tests for each of the two modules, and there will be a CAT exam, CAT 1, and a final CAT. The other 50% will be based on the semester exam. We must attend the CAT exam, or we will fail the semester exam. It is easy to score, but the CAT exam is stressful because it comes with no break between the exams.
Other: I chose this course because I want to be a research-level biotechnologist. However, the number of events that take place is low.

Our university has amazing professors and campus but weak placement support.
Placements: Only 2 students out of 58 students from our class were placed through campus placements. I was one of them. A few companies visited here for B.Sc biotechnology. The highest salary package offered was 4.1 LPA for the course of B.Sc biotechnology. The lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. Top recruiters here were Life Cell, Zifo RnD, etc. Internships were not provided by our college, except for a few summer training sessions for which they collected the fee from students. Top roles offered by companies through placements were associate analyst and COVID lab technician.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the department is amazing, with spacious classrooms, well-equipped laboratories and maintained washrooms. Wi-Fi facility is good in few classrooms and very poor in few classrooms. The laboratories have good quality equipment like chambers, HPLC, spectrophotometer, colorimeter, etc., from reputed brands like Eppendorf, Shimadzu and many more. There is one main canteen on the campus and 2 small canteens. One Amul parlour is also available here, and medical facilities are not up to the mark. Sports like cricket, football, basketball, badminton, handball, etc., are played with ample sports equipment and fields/courts available here. The hostel is huge and has good facilities. Boys and girls hostels are separated by a huge distance. There are different types of rooms such as 2 sharing, 3 sharing and single sharing rooms. Only the single rooms have air-conditioners. The food and water facilities are provided. For Muslims, suhoor and iftar are also provided in the mess during the month of Ramadan. Laundry and Wi-Fi facilities are available in the hostel, whose charges are included in the fee.
Faculty: The real supporters throughout 3 years of the course are professors. They are truly qualified, knowledgeable, approachable and motivated in all aspects. All professors have completed their PhD and post-doctoral from reputed institutions in India and abroad. They don't compromise in terms of teaching. The course curriculum is well-designed to clear the basic and applied level of concepts in biotechnology. But it doesn't make students industry-ready because biotechnology is a vast domain and a bachelor degree in biotechnology is not sufficient to have a good grip on the subject. Opting for M.Sc would be a wise choice to be industry-ready. Semester exams are easy to crack, and their difficulty level is low. Exams are conducted in 2 assessments and one end semester exam pattern every semester, along with weightage of internals and practicals. The pass percentage is 40%.
Other: This course is very undervalued in our nation. RnD is a field that can change the entire nation and has the potential for tremendous development. This field enriches students with knowledge and growth. It does not benefit just students but also benefits the entire world through breakthrough research. I wish we were provided with more hands-on training like internships and industrial visits. Our university organises vivid cultural events and fests every semester to celebrate festivals, talents and many more. Extracurricular activities like dance, literature, music, sports, drama, Silambam, fashion, etc., are conducted through the official groups. The crowd is huge, but since the campus is huge, it doesn't cause any difficulty. The campus is surrounded by greenery everywhere and has the Vandalur zoo right next to the university. The connectivity is good through public buses and trains. Both the institute and government provide scholarships to B.Tech. For students who excel in academics, the fee is already minimal, but it is not provided to B.Sc students.

Okay college. If you are okay with Kurta, you can prefer.
Placements: About 50% got placement in different fields. I am not sure about the company names. But help board seeking students to pursue their Ph.D. More offers from reputed companies are taken by the college. I don't know much about the placement as I am a fresher.
Infrastructure: There are 7 labs total for Life Science block. There is free Wi-Fi connection. The canteen food is average as a Malayalee student. I am okay with it. Classrooms and libraries are good. As I am far from my house, I prefer college canteen food. There are 4-5 cafes inside the campus for snacks and juice items.
Faculty: The teachers are qualified and know about the subject they taught. They are helpful in pursuing higher studies. There are two internal exams before the sem exam: CAT 1 and CAT 2. 50% marks will be gained from that for the sem exam. We want to gain another 50% from the sem exam.
Other: I really like this field. I like the field of research.

Absolutely it is a good college.
Placements: About 70 students from our course got placed. The highest academic CGPA got by students is 9.0, while the lowest academic CGPA got by them is 7.0. Many well-known companies like Biocon, etc., visit our college for placements. Our college provides good coaching on placements and training on other interview-related topics to help students get placed in companies and helps in higher studies.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is best-in-class in our college, and modern amenities are also available here. The hostel is best-in-class, and they are separately available for both men and women and also different for different batch students. Classrooms are highly modern, clean and neat throughout the course.
Faculty: Teachers here are helpful and very professional. Their way of teaching depends only on English. There are different staff members for different courses and subjects. Teachers are highly talented and have many years of experience. There are teaching faculty members and also other non-teaching staff members in our college.
Other: Students have a good campus life here.

College is absolutely amazing in all the apects.
Placements: 1% of students were placed in my department with the highest package of 11L per annum and with the lowest package of 3L per annum. Zifo was the topmost company that came for recruitment with an average package. Nearly 10 percent of students got an internship. Clinical data analyst was the most common role.
Infrastructure: Our campus had high-speed Wi-Fi available in every corner, with an amazing classroom environment that has both digital and blackboards teaching facilities, it also has average lab facilities now but it is being expanded further, and our college also has a central library where you can find all the books required.
Faculty: The teachers are highly qualified with Ph.D. degree and highly knowledgeable too. Teaching mode depends on the subject and the faculty too. The curriculum is designed in a way where slow Learners and toppers can cope up. The course curriculum absolutely focuses on industry demands and needs.

BSA Crescent Institute of Science and Technology review .
Placements: Almost more than fifty percent of the students in my batch were placed in different companies. The lowest package offered was 2 LPA, and the highest package offered was 4 LPA. The average package is 3 LPA. Some of the top recruiting companies were Biocon, Icon, Zifo, R&D, etc.
Infrastructure: The campus is equipped with highly advanced laboratories with proper machinery and equipment. A big central library with physical and virtual learning materials all available for the students. All the classrooms are equipped with Wi-Fi accessibility. The quality of the food available in the hostel is very good and nutritious, with both vegetarian and non-vegetarian choices.
Faculty: The faculty members are skilled, well qualified and equipped with the proper skills and knowledge to handle the classes. The teaching quality is very advanced and helps with real-world problems. The learning process is highly focused on making real-world applications on a teaching basis.
Other: I chose biotechnology because of my affinity for biology and it's integration with modern technology. Some of the best things about this course are the spectrum of learning, its application, which is quite wide and its scope in real-world applications. I wish there was more practical learning in the course rather than more theory. A lot of events and festivals are conducted annually by the college as well as the student bodies present on campus.
