Excellent infrastructure, supportive faculty, and strong placements opportunities.

Placements: Our batch (2024-2028) comprises 40 students pursuing a B.A in Journalism and Mass Communication with a focus on news reporting and editing. We achieved a 50% placement rate, secured internships at top firms and actively participated in research, hackathons, and innovation projects.

A great place to study and achieve skills for society.

Placements: There are numerous placements in many multinational companies, and around 40%-35% of students are really happy with this strength. Some are managers, some are employees, but many have opened their businesses. That's a great thing that entrepreneurs are coming out of college.

Teachers of our college are very experienced.

Placements: Our college provides on-campus placements for almost 10-15% of students. They are placed in IT companies such as TCS, Wipro, etc. They have been offered a salary package of up to 2.5 LPA. The college provides workshops for their students in IT labs and others. Students who get at least 60% in the entire course can sit in on-campus interviews.

Not a good college at all.

Placements: Wipro, TCS , Infosys, Accenture, Byjus, etc. visit here. These are the top companies who come for on-campus placements. They offer low profile jobs for BCA, B.Sc, BBA and B.Com. The jobs aren't satisfying but still on campus placements have increased since the last few years.

I am absolutely dissatisfied due to no activities and poor infrastructure.

Placements: This college has many good courses but for journalism, this college doesn't provide you that much exposure and practical knowledge. Some companies come for placements but mostly, they look for IT students. So it all depends upon your personal ability to get placements.

Good but some efforts are to be made by the college to improve it.

Placements: Top reputed companies like wipro, TCS etc. are the top recruiters which every year come to the campus to recruit. Almost 50 % of students are recruited every year in the campus.

Dissatisfied with the college as some teachers are not cooperative.

Placements: Around 40% of students got placed. 1.5 LPA is the lowest package offered, and 4.5 LPA is the highest package. The top recruiting companies are Wipro, ICICI Prudential, Decathlon, Infosys, TCS, Chola Mandlam, etc., for all streams. Around 30% of students got internships. BPO jobs are offered to the students. You have to work yourself in the college to get internships.

Dissatisfied with infrastructure and management, but happy with the teaching faculty members.

Placements: The college has decent placements. Placements are fine because of DAV's reputation in India. All the major companies such as Amazon, Decathlon, ICICI, Axis Bank, SBI visit the campus for the placements for our senior batch. The college hs a placement cell, and it is beneficial. It is not very efficient, but it gets the job done.

Dissatisfied because of faculty, poor infrastructure, no facilities for students.

Placements: Companies from various sectors come for placements such as IT, banking, communication. No. Of companies come to college for placements such as Amazon, ICICI, Concentrix, Octopus tech solutions and many others. However they do not ask for job related to our course I. e. B.Sc. biotechnology. They come to get students for jobs such as customer care executives.

An aging institution which needs to fully unleash its potential.

Placements: The placements can be categorised into two categories: technical and non-technical. While our senior batch saw a few companies for the student placements, we were given the opportunity to apply for more companies. Big names like Aon Hewitt, Tata Consultancy Services, IBM Daksh, Amazon, Wipro, Bank of America, Thermax, Tech Mahindra, Infosys and Walmart came to recruit freshly graduated students. Our college was even selected as the sole placement centre in whole Punjab for the customer support s...

All good for a short city, Amritsar.

Placements: The placements are not good. Only, call centre and BPO companies came to our college. The college is good and has a good reputation in Amritsar. Overall, it's good, but it's like all the colleges who sell their study, and they charge too much fees, and you have to complete 70% attendance, and if you did not complete, you have to pay for it, and you can sit for the exam which is the rule.

Last option for the students to purse B.Com in Amritsar. Still better than other colleges.

Placements: Just a few companies visited for placements and offered too little. Out of 150 batchmates, 30-35 got selected but none of them joined as they all were underpaid jobs. Companies were Axis Bank, LIC, HDFC Bank, and one or two other marketing companies. They offered a maximum of Rs. 18000 pay for long working hours outside the city like Chandigarh, etc.

A journey that could have been much better.

Placements: There are hardly any placements drives that are being conducted by the college. Wipro is one such company that comes every year to recruit 4-5 students, providing them a package of 1.8 lacks pa. Most of the local recruitment agencies come to college and ask the students to register themselves with them for a nominal fee of Rs. 500 and then they look for jobs that are suitable for the candidate's profile. Those recruitment agencies also fail to provide any decent package jobs and they mainly rang...

Being a part of this college has been a wonderful experience for me where I not only gained theoretical knowledge, but also covered practical aspects of life. I participated in various cultural and sports activities. The guidance and support provided by the experienced faculty of this college is irreplaceable. Though the infrastructure may not be very alluring, still this is the best college of the city. At the end of the completion of my degree, I had 3 offer letters in my hand, all because of...

Our college provides improper infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: Our college provides placements, but the salary package offered was quite low as it was not up to the level of study. Our college doesn't offer us what we exactly deserve. Many companies visit our college for recruitment, and that was good for building up confidence among students.
