A well- planned curriculum to educate the students.
Placements: In DAV college, after the graduation, the scope of getting placements job is easy. This college is affiliated to Chatrapati Sahu Ji Maharaja university of Kanpur, one of the most reputed universities in Uttar Pradesh. If you pursue higher studies like postgraduation, the scope of getting jobs would be quite easy.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is quite good, that looks like an ancient time buildings. But the university is renovating the architecture, with new buildings and flooring with marble stones all over the college. The atmosphere is good here, with greenery all around and non-suffocated classrooms subtend great place for education.
Faculty: Faculty of this college are good, professional, helping and very supportive. Different subjects related to different fields (Science, Commerce, Arts) are taught here for a longer period. Regular examinations are conducted which goes with a good result.

Personal experience of DAV College.
Placements: There are no placements. We have to pursue the master degree from well-reputed colleges. DAV does not provide placement as it's a government authorised college. So teacher over there do not take any interest in providing you guidance as they are getting their salary for free.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of DAV is average. It's like an ancient old building. I don't recommend anyone personally to go for the admission in DAV. Infrastructure is really very poor you will feel like at the time the whole college is going to collapse.
Faculty: There are various courses in DAV if you are willing to take admission for just degree then it okay and if you are looking for some knowledge for the course from the faculty or teacher over there, then I would say faculty are really very poor. The teachers over there do not provide any guidance related to course.

The faculty is average. You need to focus well on college life. The college has good infrastructure.
Placements: Bachelor in Zoology students can get into the medical and public health sectors, as per my college, everything is based on my academics and yes, I get an internship, which is also around 15 thousand to 25 thousand based on the company. I could also become a teacher.
Infrastructure: College infrastructure is good; it was built in the British era when they ruled India so the infrastructure is based on that time only but some upgrades have been done. We have a great library, but sometimes books are not available and hostels are also available.
Faculty: The faculty is pretty good, so if you want to learn something, you can take classes regularly. Teachers are really helpful; they will also guide you with career-based questions and help you find the right path for you. Exams are taken in a very well-mannered way.
Other: I was a biology student, so for graduation I have chosen this course and beside this, I have a keen interest in zoology, so that's why.

Much Better Than Average (One of the top 5 PG colleges of city).
Placements: The placement criteria in the college are very efficient, and this college allows the largest number of seats. The merit list is not very critical like other colleges taking admission in regular as well as private (self-finance) seats is very efficient. The teachers and other placement staff are very cooperative in the college.
Infrastructure: The college is extended in a large area including many buildings, and each department is given the best facilities like labs, sports rooms, etc. The building is modern and well-maintained with cleanliness in toilet and sanitation. There is also a large space for vehicle parking in the college.
Faculty: The teachers of the college are very supportive and are highly qualified. Many of them are abroad return, most of the students are irregular, but the teachers are very attentive and regular they give you fine treatment even if you are the single student present in the class. Even the head of department takes weekly classes. Talking of the student to faculty ratio, I must say that there is a single teacher but 250 par 250 students, which is because of the largest student strength, but only 5% of the students are usually present in the regular classes. The course curriculum was useful.
Other: The system is equally active in tours, and activities like the NSS department, NCC department, and scout guide are very active on a regular basis. The authorities managing these departments are very active, and special funds have been secured for these things. A large number of student get scholarships, and the department is very hardworking and works 10 hours a day to provide students documentation.

An overview of DAV College, Kanpur for the aspirants who want to go for higher studies.
Placements: There are moderate placements in the college. Companies don't visit the campus as it does not provide the courses like B.Tech or M.Tech. It is affiliated to Chhatrapati Shahuji Maharaj University, Khanpur, situated about around 10 km from the college. The internship courses are provided to the students in particular courses like B.Ed. etc., The complete scholarship is provided for the studies of students by the college committee and UP government.
Infrastructure: The college looks good with the traditional anglo British building standing high. It has huge lecture halls. It has simple and British infrastructure as the college was built in 1919, seems like some glorious old monument situated in a central place of the city in front of green park stadium of Kanpur. A central spot for nearby population. The campus has a library and a separate DAV ground for sports activities. The hostel facility is there for girls only, but since it is a central spot, one can easily get a hostel nearby the college.
Faculty: The faculty members are helpful. Professors are the experts in their particular subject and sincere towards students. Most of them are the prominent names of Kanpur. For B.Sc, it is a 3 years course starting from July and ends in March. A combined mark sheet is provided for all the three years. Many professional courses are also available like BCA, M.Sc., electronics, LL.B. with some other courses like PhD, B.Ed, etc. It is a government college and has the faculty of around 300 for different specialised subjects.
Other: The college campus was quite large and not much crowded. Wi-Fi and other types of wireless facilities are not there on the college campus. The scholarship for students is provided by DAV funding group and UP government. Sports events are organised by the college. It is situated in civil lines in front of the prominent green park stadium nearby central jail Kanpur. It was a market area. Everything from day to day need is easily available in the surroundings. It is situated on the river bank of Ganga and is not so far from Kanpur education hub Kakadeo and IIT Kanpur. So, location wise, it is a good place.

Satisfied with the faculty and campus but placement is not good.
Placements: Actually, there was no placement in graduation. I and some of my friends even tried to form a placement cell but we didn't succeed in our efforts. We talked to the principal, teachers and students unions but there was no response. We contacted a lot of companies but no one wanted to take an action in the college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is not very good. The college is large in area and has a good library. The campus is good as there is a good environment for studying. The classrooms are large and there is an auditorium too. The college is neat and clean and full of plants and trees.
Faculty: The faculty of college is better than other colleges of CSJM University. The teachers are too experienced. The course is quite good. Maybe you won't get a campus placement but the scope of the course is very good as CSJM is a highly appreciated university.
