Q:   How to check Dayanand Medical College expected Cut off for UG round- wise seat allotment?

    A:

While Dayanand Medical College (DMC) and Baba Farid University of Health Sciences (BFUHS) do not officially release anticipated cut-off ranks or scores for UG round-wise seat allotment, there are strategies to estimate potential cut-offs and navigate the admission process effectively.

    Historical Data Analysis:

    • Utilize the BFUHS website to access past cut-off ranks after each counseling round. Analyze trends in cut-off changes over several years,  considering factors like the number of applicants,  NEET exam difficulty,  seat availability,  and state quota/reservation policies.

    Comparative Assessment:

    • Research cut-offs for similar medical colleges in the region and with comparable reputations. This comparative analysis can offer valuable insights into potential cut-off ranges for DMC.

    Predictive Tools:

    • Several online tools employ past data and statistical models to predict cut-offs. While these tools can provide estimates,  it's crucial to acknowledge their inherent limitations and treat their predictions as mere approximations.

    Official Updates:

    • Maintain regular vigilance on the BFUHS website,  as they will officially announce cut-off ranks for each counseling round upon its completion.

    Key Reminders:

    • Remember that cut-off ranks can fluctuate significantly year-on-year due to dynamic factors.
    • Prioritize enhancing your NEET score as it remains the primary determinant of admission eligibility.
    • Explore other medical colleges with lower cut-offs that align with your academic aspirations and career goals.

By strategically accessing information and remaining updated, you can approach the admission process with greater clarity and preparedness.

    Brilliant faculty members.
Placements: We don't get placements, but get to do a 1 year internship provided by the college itself for which we get a stipend of 15k per month. The college has a hospital affiliated to it called the Dayanand Hospital. We have to complete the internship period in that hospital which provides us all the facilities and services to support us.
Infrastructure: The college organises various seminars and workshops to enhance the learning skills of students. Other than that, there are cultural as well as sports related programs in the college. Ectopia is the cultural fest and Nozit is the sports fest which is conducted every year. College does have hostel facility for the students. Hostel rooms are neat and clean. There are only 3 students in each room. All rooms and washrooms are kept clean. Food quality of the mess is very good and all hygienic measures are taken care of. There is special dining hall too.
Faculty: The faculty are good. They offer support at any stage. We're blessed to have such friendly, experienced doctors and teachers. Their experience guide us in numerous ways. We've always been inspired by them. This is a 5.5 year course. The subjects are neatly divided. There are yearly university examinations and there are monthly tests and practical conducted. Though the exams are frequently conducted, we do not feel any stress, as we know there are a lot of people who can help us in passing the tests.

I had a good experience with our college and faculty members.
Placements: In our batch, there are 100 students. If you join Dayanand Medical College, you have to pay the maximum fee of 40 lacs for the entire MBBS course. However, with this huge amount of fee, you get top studies, good infrastructure and experienced teachers. I miss all the faculty members of our college.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are easily available both in the college and hospital campus. This college mainly considers the health of every student. The entire campus is air-conditioned. The food served in the hostel is also very good. So, I suggest you to work hard and pass in the exams.
Faculty: Teachers here are really very educated, have practical knowledge and helpful to every student. By doing an MBBS, every student can earn a good income on their own. You also get more practical work in this college.
Other: Every year a number of events are organised in our college, where we really enjoy.

Very much satisfied; a very good college to study and to stay. The best faculty and infrastructure.
Placements: Our college has very nice placements. Our seniors and super seniors got very good opportunities. Some are working as government doctors, and some of them got PG seats also. The pass percentage is about 81%, and most of them completed their internships. Our college also offers a normal stipend of Rs. 15,000 per month. Also, our college is very famous.
Infrastructure: Our college's infrastructure is very nice, and classrooms and libraries are wonderful. Sports are good in our college, and they conduct sports meet monthly. Tournaments with other colleges are conducted once in three months. Hostel rooms are also very good, but the maintenance is not that good. Overall, it is okay. I did not face any issues regarding infrastructure.
Faculty: Our faculty members are very good and well-qualified as they completed their PG degree. They are very well helpful and supportive to the students, but management is not. The teaching methods are very good as per NTRUHS rules and they teach and show us in-ward postings which is a very good practice. Our course curriculum is given by NTRUHS, and that is very helpful.
Other: Events are special to our college; we celebrate all the events very nicely. Last year fests were wonderful and campus crowd is not that much disturbing. The campus surroundings are very nice as well, and scholarships are offered as per NTRUHS. Extracurricular activities are very good as we have a very big ground.

The college has an outstanding infrastructure and great faculty.
Placements: The college has good placements, and almost 100% result in finals. There are NEET Punjab toppers from the college. The internship salary is Rs.7,000 per month. PG salary is more than Rs.40,000 per month. The college has good working conditions but long duty hours. Strict supervision and discipline. The students get the clarity of basic concepts.
Infrastructure: The college has an outstanding infrastructure. Fully enabled Wi-Fi in the college and the hostel. The classrooms are modern, comfortable, large and air-conditioned. The college has an outstanding library. The latest facilities are available in this college. Only negative point is the college and girls hostel is 1.5 km away from hospital and boys hostel. The college has a smaller ground. The labs are equipped with the latest equipment. There are a lot of models and specimens.
Faculty: The college has an outstanding faculty with well qualified, and they are updated with the latest technology. They are quite knowledgeable. The student to the faculty ratio 1:10. There is a lot of exposure during clinical. The course curriculum is good. This college is not very good for extracurricular activities. New and advanced teaching methods were used.

I think the best college in whole Punjab. I love this college
Placements: There is no criteria for the placement because after completing the MBBS one can get their own jobs either they will create their own hospitals and of course all are clearing the government jobs. So there is no need of the placement if required. College is also providing quite good placement, I think placement is about 90%.
Infrastructure: Talking about the infrastructure the college is the best class and also have Wi-Fi. Labs are also highly professional and the college is providing best class lectures talking about the sports it is conducting every year. The staff in this college is trustful and is helpful at every situations.
Faculty: The lectures conducting in this college are the quality lectures and the students are understanding them all the lectures are good one and have experience in teaching. I think this course is very helpful as you are getting jobs. I am 100% sure that after completing MBBS degree I can assure that you will get the high paying jobs.
Other: So politeness in this college is expected, involve in every good things provided by the college. Respecting the lecturers and paying 100% concentration on the lectures aare important.

    Dayanand Medical College
    Admission FAQs

Q:   Is MBBS at Dayanand Medical College better than MBBS at Aurangabad College of Engineering ?

    A:

Comparing the quality of MBBS programs at Dayanand Medical College (DMC) and Aurangabad College of Engineering (ACE) would depend on various factors such as faculty expertise, infrastructure, clinical exposure, research opportunities, and accreditation.

Dayanand Medical College is a well-established medical institution known for its quality education, experienced faculty, and comprehensive clinical training. It has a good reputation in the medical community and often ranks among the top medical colleges in India.

On the other hand, Aurangabad College of Engineering primarily focuses on engineering education rather than medical education. While it's possible they might offer a medical program, it's not traditionally their primary focus. Thus, their MBBS programme may not have the same level of resources, faculty expertise, or clinical facilities as a dedicated medical college like DMC.

In general, when considering MBBS programs, it's essential to look into factors such as faculty qualifications, hospital affiliations, research opportunities, and alumni success to determine which programme aligns better with your educational and career goals. It's advisable to research and compare both institutions thoroughly before making a decision.

Q:   How are MBBS placements at Dayanand Medical College?

    A:

Dayanand Medical College (DMC) boasts a decent record of placements for its MBBS graduates, but it's crucial to consider various factors before drawing a definitive conclusion. Here's a breakdown:

    Placement Highlights:

    • Recent Reports: According to Shiksha.com, the placement rate for MBBS graduates at DMC in 2021 was 79%, with a median package of INR 4.32 LPA. However, the 2023 placement report is not yet available.
    • Job Opportunities: Graduates secure positions in diverse domains like hospitals, research institutes, and private practice.
    • Affiliation Advantage: The college's affiliation with a large hospital (1326 beds) provides valuable clinical exposure and potential internship opportunities.

    Points to Consider:

    • Limited Data: The lack of a recent placement report for 2023 makes it difficult to assess the current placement scenario.
    • Median Package: The median package of INR 4.32 LPA is lower compared to some other private medical colleges in India.
    • Competition: Competition for high-paying jobs can be high, especially in certain specialties.
    • Individual Performance: Your academic performance, skills, and networking efforts ultimately influence your placement success.

Don't just base your decision on placements. Research other colleges, ace your studies, build relevant skills, and network like crazy. Choose the college that fits your academic dreams and career goals, not just the one with the flashiest placement stats. Good luck!
