Q&A Icon
Commonly asked questions
On Admission

Q:   Does DME offers any scholarship for students?

A:

Merit scholarships are a form of financial assistance that are awarded to students based on their outstanding academic performance or exceptional talent in a particular field. These prestigious scholarships are meant to recognize and reward students who have demonstrated exceptional merit and dedication in their pursuit of education. They provide financial support to students who might otherwise have difficulty financing their education, and help to open up doors to new opportunities and career paths. Whether you're a high-achieving student with top grades, or a talented athlete or artist with a passion for your craft, merit scholarships can be a valuable resource to help you achieve your dreams and reach your full potential.

Q:   How can I apply for merit scholarship?

A:

Candidates can apply for merit scholarship by following the below mentioned details:

1. Apply Early: Many awards are competitive and require you to gather transcripts, records, and letters of reference. Applying early shows that you are organized and focused.

2. Keep Your Grades Up: Look for awards that match your skill sets, grades, and test scores. Focus on getting your grades in their best shape because getting a merit award is only half the battle. Winning a scholarship to use at your dream school is the ultimate goal.

3. Take Active Steps: Being a high achiever, volunteer, athlete, or artist takes consistent effort. Providers often look for consistency in applicants. If you fall short of your goals, take active measures to address the issues before they become bigger. Meeting with teachers, coaches, and your guidance counselor regularly can help you stay on track and build a network of potential references.

A Day in DME (Delhi Metropolitan Education).
Placements: Around 30-35% of students were placed from our college from our specific course. The highest package was around 8 lakhs INR, the average package was around 4 lakhs INR, and the lowest was 2.5 lakhs INR. Top recruiting companies were Amazon, Tech Mahindra, Infosys, and many more.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available only for computer labs and is not provided to students in classrooms or the library. This college doesn't provide hostel facilities, and the college gates are closed around 4-5 pm daily after the teachers leave the college. The library is full of books for LL.B., BBA, and B.J.M.C., and it is beautifully made.
Faculty: Teachers are really helpful and knowledgeable but a little strict. Students face issues maintaining 75% attendance, which is mandatory for internal exams, and internal exams play a really important role in helping a student pass in all subjects. They make the students industry-ready as they take students to industrial visits as well, which gives real-life experience to all students on how all the big companies work.
Other: The crowd is really amazing in this college; mainly 85% of the crowd is from Delhi itself, which makes it really amazing to stay and talk to people in this college.

I am satisfied with the college because of the placement and the teachers and infrastructure.
Placements: The average package offered by DME is 4 LPA, the highest is 12 LPA, and the lowest is around 2.5 LPA. Companies like Byju's, Zomato, Tata, and others visited for placements in my batch. About 80% of students got internships. Opportunities are higher for HR and sales students compared to finance.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is average. During summers, air conditioners did not work properly, and we had to shift our classes to rooms with functional ACs. The college is a bit congested due to first-shift students. Wi-Fi is available only for teachers and staff. The labs and library are in good condition, and the library is a great place to study. However, we avoided the canteen food as it was expensive, so we usually ate outside. The college also has a medical room.
Faculty: The teachers are helpful and knowledgeable. They use interesting techniques and case studies to make learning engaging. The difficulty of semester exams depends on the teachers, but attending classes, understanding concepts, and taking notes makes it easier to score good marks.
Other: The classrooms need improvement, and the college organized very few events during our time—only two in three years. However, the vibe of the college is nice, with students playing guitar and singing in the canteen. The teachers are friendly, but it would be better if they created a more balanced timetable so students could focus on other activities too.

Satisfied with the faculty and studies. Not so good campus. Not good enough crowd.
Placements: To be honest, being a law student, we didn't even get any internship too, even in the very first year. We had to do everything on our own. Though 2 students just got selected in the judiciary from the already pass-out batches, but that was their own hard work. Many students have been selected at good posts too, but that all is just the students' hard work, and the college didn’t do anything in providing placements, not even any internships.
Infrastructure: The college campus is really very small. Not even any department students are allowed to go to any other department's wing. It becomes equivalent to a crime. Apart from that, though we have an amphitheater where functions take place in good weather (it being open) and a moot court for moot competitions. Classrooms are fine, school-type looking, and the library is big, where you can't go without the library card. The canteen is good and fine, has a lot of options. Though the medical facilities are not so good. There's no ground for sports as the college is really small.
Faculty: The teachers are merely good, good at teaching. They all provide good PPTs for studying and notes. It is good in academics with good teachers who don't miss lectures. The course is curriculum-relevant and the moot competitions and other events organized provide a good forum for the students to learn and henceforth make them industry-ready. Semester exams are mid, the pass percentage is 40%. Though the college does not give marks easily in the internal examinations.
Other: I chose this course because I was interested in legal studies and wanted to learn more in it. It provides wide options to you and gives a lot of openness and awareness of the things that go around you. It would have been better if judiciary counseling and study were included in it. Events keep happening, all depending on your awareness and participation in college activities, the college organizes fests too, though not so good and grand. The campus crowd consists of most of the children being the nearby people who take admission due to the minimal distance. Not so studious crowd. Connectivity is good via metro and good roads. Campus surroundings are okay. Not so good or bad. Many companies nearby at little distance. No scholarship provided. Many extracurricular activities happen for the interested students.

A Review That Can Change Your Life for Good (DME)
Placements: I am currently studying BBA LL.B. from this college, and my batch is 2021-2026, so how can I tell about placements? Nonetheless, as my seniors have told me, there are not many placement opportunities provided by the college. You are on your own. It's your own practical experience that will help you in getting your job.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is good study-wise. Faculty members are good, and the library has lots of books that you can issue. Wi-Fi *** no password is provided for Wi-Fi. There is no ground for extra activities, be it sports or for taking fresh air. Talking about the food in the canteen, I would say that it has improved over the years.
Faculty: Yes, teachers are knowledgeable and helpful most of the time. However, there are a few teachers who have some attitude problems and think they are bigger than the college. The course curriculum is okay. Other universities have a similar syllabus. Semester exams are quite tough. You need to be ready for it.

I am satisfied because i have got good company of friends and the course is also going fine
Placements: Basically in BBA ( bachelor's of business administration) , 40% of students get their placements, 2lpa being the highest package whereas 70k, p.a being the lowest. The companies that visit our college are lakme, zomato, etc. internships include 60% of students. We can take internships in finace, hrm etc
Infrastructure: The college lacks the infrastructure part, the campus isn't that huge, the space could be defined as compact for the events, the classes are fine, and the canteen is also good but anyhow if you find your way, the infrastructure will not matter anymore.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is very nice they are supportive as well and they do understand and take their student's stand. The exams are also medium level which are quite easy to pass. They usually take only one internal exam and every time they'll just have your back

Absolutely dissatisfied because of everything.
Placements: Almost 85% students were placed in our college in our course. I don’t know about the highest and the lowest packages offered as I didn't give any interviews. I think less than 1% students got internships. Top roles were that of content writers.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is okay, it is a small college with poor facilities. Canteen food is okay but costly. Medical facilities are poor.
Faculty: Teachers were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable, but their teaching quality was very bad. They teach using the boards and only use the projector very few times. Course curriculum is very relevant but they don't focus on every student.
Other: I chose this course because I thought I will learn a lot of different things along with more practical skills. I wish everything to be better.
