M.A. in Sociology - Batch of 2020

Overall Best College for M.A. in Sociology Course.
Placements: More than 75% of students got placed after completing the course from this university. Many students secured jobs in various IT, banking, and other companies. After completing my M.A. in Sociology, I was posted as a teacher. Packages range between 40K to 55K, depending on the course you take. Some of my friends even got 15 LPA. Suggested top roles are HR, Technician, Research Analyst, BPO, etc. Top companies include TCS, Infosys, Wipro, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure and facilities are excellent. You will love studying here because the environment is extremely clean, and the location is really good. The university has adequate resources and facilities for teaching and learning, such as a large library, laboratories, canteen, auditorium, playground, proper and hygienic washrooms, Wi-Fi, etc. The food is delicious and affordable, so there's no need to go out. The canteen is spacious enough for students to sit and eat comfortably.
Faculty: The course is well-designed and helped me get a job during the lockdown. The teachers explained each subject in such detail that every student could understand it. The teachers were well-experienced and knowledgeable. Exams were taken quarterly, and for our course, the pass percentage was 65%.

Sports faculty is good, and our college has a big playground. Medical facilities are active when a student is injured, so it takes no time to treat them.

The curriculum of this course is relevant to all trade students and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are easy, and the pass rate is 75%.

Great for ROI, but Not The Best B-School.
Placements: Placements are completely student driven. Teachers are not concerned about placements at all. Top recruiting companies in my batch were Godrej, ICICI Bank, DE Shaw etc. The top package goes Upto 25 LPA. Although it depends on the year but mostly more than 70-80% of the batch gets placed. Our college does have one of the best ROI as the feels is very low.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure facilities are very poor. No Wi-Fi, old labs and classrooms that are not enough for the current batch size. The library is okay, our campus has the Ratan Tata Library. The quality of food available in the canteen too was not Upto the mark. No medical or sports facilities on campus.
Faculty: Some teachers are quite helpful while others are not. The curriculum is basic and does make the students industry ready but is not very frequently updated. The semester exams are average in difficult, the questions are mostly straight from the book and not as much application based.

Infrastructure: The college building is a bit old, but overall, it is great. The college has great labs, wi-fi, and air-conditioned classrooms. There is a hostel facility for girls, a very good mess, and a very good canteen. The food is okay. Medical assistance is available, but sports facilities can be upgraded for a more holistic experience.
Faculty: The pass percentage is 70%. The semester exams are tough, especially if we don't prepare. The exams are based on what the faculty has taught and the course pack that was shared. The good news is that the faculty members are very good and knowledgeable. My economics teacher is very helpful. She helped me a lot to clear many entrance exams and many scholarship exams.
