Is Don Bosco College of Engineering (DBCE) good for BE/BTech?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's a summary of the key points:

    Pros:

    * Good infrastructure: The college has modern laboratories, well-equipped classrooms, and a vast library with a good collection of books. The campus also features a canteen, gym, and recreational facilities.
    * Knowledgeable faculty: Faculty members are highly qualified, knowledgeable, and supportive. They are willing to help students beyond academics, and some have partnerships with reputed organizations like ISRO.
    * Practical exposure: The college organizes field trips, guest lectures, and industry visits, giving students hands-on experience and exposure to real-world scenarios.
    * Placement record: While the placement rate may vary, DBCE has seen success stories, with companies like Citrix, IBM, and Persistent Systems hiring students from the institute.

    Cons:

    * Limited hostel facilities: As mentioned by several reviewers, the college does not offer hostel accommodation, which might be inconvenient for outstation students.

Outstanding facilities are provided by Don Bosco College of Engineering.
Placements: Almost 100% of students got placed in top companies like Goorej, Google, Amazon, IFB, etc. If students score above 8 CGPA with no backlogs, there is a high chance of placements every year. There is also a 6 months of internship in the 4th year.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of the college is amazing with spacious classrooms, good libraries, great labs with all types of resources, 3D printing rooms, a sports complex, research forums, and a fire building for collaborative business ideas and startups. There is free Wi-Fi provided.
Faculty: Our teachers are well-versed in their subjects as they take students in-depth into the subject they teach. The course seems very relevant to the practical world and makes students ready for the industry. Semester exams are moderate. The pass percentage is 95%.
Other: I chose computer engineering because of my passion for coding and computers. The course provided here is amazing. There are a lot of events that take place in a month of the year like Pryocion, etc. The college focuses a lot on extracurricular activities. If I would want something to improve that would include a better canteen.

Best college you can join for engineering.
Placements: I belong to the 2023 batch, scheduled to graduate in 2026, pursuing computer engineering. The highest salary package offered to the previous year's batch was 10LPA. Although I am not aware of their job positions, it is common for most students to secure internships during the 3rd semester as it is a mandatory part of the course.
Infrastructure: The computer engineering labs and classes are unparalleled in quality. The labs boast state-of-the-art computers with high-speed internet, while the faculty members are exceptionally helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly. Moreover, the campus provides Wi-Fi coverage throughout, and there is a generously sized canteen available for students.
Faculty: Our faculty members are highly skilled and approachable, and the curriculum aligns with the one followed by Goa University. The level of difficulty in semester exams varies depending on your study approach. In my opinion, it is possible to prepare for the semester papers within a month. Additionally, our college actively supports and encourages startups, providing them with our own incubator facility.

I'm satisfied with college and faculty on the campus
Placements: Mechanical engineering students at this college have a 100% placement rate, and all the students have gotten internships at different companies. Top companies like Cipla, Ceat, and TCS have recruited students and given them good starting salaries. The students are very happy with their placement outcomes and are excited about their future careers.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good and well maintained. The library is huge and has a wide variety of books, including study materials and project books for final year students. There's also a stationary shop on campus. The most famous Fire is available only at DBCE, and it's where we can start our startup career.
Faculty: The teachers are very helpful and cooperative. They help us prepare for our exams, both practically and theoretically. They also help us improve our speaking skills and prepare us for what the industry expects from us. The passing percentage was 100%. All the students cleared their semester with good grades and maintained their CGPA.
Other: Don Bosco College of Engineering is famous for its mechanical and civil engineering programs. It is the second college to offer a BE in civil engineering. Various events are conducted by different departments throughout the year, and the overall event is Procyon, which is very popular.

College life is the best life.
Placements: According to the previous batch in my course, around 60% of the students got placed. The offered package, where the highest package is around 50000 to 6 LPA and the lowest is around 20000 to 3 LPA, and the top company is Indus Valley. Roles offered in my courses include project manager and assistant engineer.
Infrastructure: We have many facilities, like a big campus, canteen, library, tutorial classes for free lectures to study, sports indoors and outdoors, medical facilities but no hostel, free Wi-Fi, labs and classrooms that are big and airy. There are four courses given by my college.
Faculty: Teachers are really nice, friendly, and helpful. They are also highly qualified and knowledgeable, which delivers the best knowledge and is quite understandable. The teaching quality is also good. Relevant curriculum is also good. Semester exams are average to difficult, and the pass percentage is more than 5 CGPA.
Other: I have liked electronics since my childhood. The best part of my courses is that you can experiment with various devices that can also be implemented in the project. All activities are conducted, such as events, annual functions, tours, field trips, scholarships and a lot more. More on improving hostels because there are no hostels.

It has a lot of events, very helpful and well-qualified teachers, and pretty good infrastructure.
Placements: Almost 100% of students who did computer engineering have been placed in my college. The highest package wasn't much, INR 12 LPA. The average was around INR 5–6 LPA. A lot of companies, like Infosys, come to recruit students. The top roles offered have been that of software engineer, developer, etc.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is pretty good, but our college doesn't have a hostel. The classrooms and labs are well maintained, though. The library also has a vast variety of books to gain knowledge from. Wi-Fi doesn't really work well; that's something they've got to improve.
Faculty: The teachers here are pretty good. They are well qualified and teach very well. They also help you with any doubt that you have and give you extra questions to practice. The course curriculum is that of Goa University, which is neither bad nor good, but I don't think it makes students ready to set foot in the industry. The semester exams are at a medium-difficult level. Even if you study a week before the exam, you can get pretty good marks.
Other: I chose this course as computer engineering has a lot of scope nowadays, and it's a job that can pay you well. The college has a lot of events, though, for students to showcase their talents.

The best place to explore the winner in you.
Placements: 50 to 60% of students from my course get placed; the highest INR 60k to 20k salary is provided by various industries and companies such as IBM, Indus Valley, TATA, and many more companies based on CS branches, etc. The college also provides a wide range of internship opportunities and company roles, such as junior engineer, project manager, and so on.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is amazing; Wi-Fi is provided to everyone; classrooms are nice with a good library; the quality of food in the canteen is amazing; sports and games are top-notch, such as basketball, tennis, table tennis, football, and indoor games.
Faculty: Faculty teaching skills are amazing, too good; they are helpful and friendly; courses are relevant but less practical; industry knowledge is okay; semester exams are difficult to average; passing percentages range from 6 CGPA onwards. Over all, it is good teaching.
Other: I chose my field because I am interested in it. I like my course; it should improve from a more practical point of view with the latest technologies. Events, scholarships—everything is there; all opportunities are provided.
