My experience in Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Mumbai.

Absolutely satisfied by the college because of their facilities and other good infrastructure

Placements: In our college almost all the students appearing for the placements are placed in companies like L&T, Browserstack, Capgemini, Accenture etc. The highest package received this year was offered by Browserstack for 22.5 LPA and the lowest package offered was 4-5 LPA. Here, the avg package given to the students of Don Bosco Institute of Technology is 6-7 LPA. Also a rough figure of 98% students from our college are placed every year. Our college provides an expert course on computer engineering, In...

Healthy Competition among crowd and so helps you grow as an individual.

Placements: Placements are pretty average unless you've done something extraordinary. As of last year's placements, the 2024 pass-out batch, the highest package of 22 LPA was offered to 2 students, and the rest were below them. One of the key elements that differentiated them from others was that they were not only good at academics and technical skills, but one of them was leading the team of our technical club, and one was the founder and lead of GDSC DBIT (Google Developer Student Club).

For placement and academic purposes, it was best college. But not for hostel life.

Placements: College placement is very active as compared to other colleges in Mumbai; they are very helpful for students, and they are spread across the world, so it can be easy to know about vacancies and easily known about requirements and skills. Alumni are always in contact with placement cell companies that recruit students with 6 LPA to 16 LPA packages.

Good placements and supportive staff.

Placements: The intake for this branch is 60. Placement is very good for all branches. They have a very supportive and understanding staff. More opportunities exist to develop our hobbies. Seniors help a lot. We can study while having fun. Many events are happening. The Colosseum is the biggest teaching event.

The college provides comparatively good placements for mechanical students.

Placements: Some mechanical giants come for placements like Jacobs, L&T, Toyo Engineering etc. However, it's not that great like for computers and IT, but comparatively good. There are many competitions that you can join and hone your skills and get industry-ready. You need the determination to take part.

It is the best college for placements and co-curricular activities.

Placements: The highest package is above 10 LPA. Placements are very good from IT firms. The placement cell is really good. Other departments also can apply for IT firms and get placed with high packages. There are lots of companies that come for placements, and all are quite great.

Really good infrastructure and faculty.

Placements: The no of students placed in my course was 60 in the first year then later in the second year, 15 Diploma students were admitted making a total of 75 students. The highest package received last year was around 10.5 Lacs and the lowest was around 3.5 Lacs. Amazon, LNT, Infosys, TCS are the top recruiting companies in the computer engineering department. Most of our students get internships during sem end breaks in our college and some of them do courses or search for internships outside.

It has above-average teachers in BE mechanical but good infrastructure. Placements are not worth it.

Placements: Around 30% of the students got placed in mechanical branch. The highest salary package offered was 4.5 LPA, and the lowest salary offered was Rs. 12,500 per month. The average salary offered is of Rs. 15,000 per month. Jacobs, Blue star, ABO valves, Elgi were the top recruiting companies in mechanical. Roles offered was as a design engineer and project engineer. Overall, placements in the mechanical branch were less when compared to IT and computer branches.

It has good placements and studies.

Placements: Many top companies visit our campus in the first half of the 4th year for placements. Companies like LTI, Capgemini, TCS, etc., visit our campus for placements. The average salary package offered for any computer and IT stream ranges between 3-4 LPA. Students who have good talents and industrial knowledge can get an internship in their dream with a salary package of 10 LPA. Several job roles are offered in different companies as per their requirements.

Placements: I'm currently in the third year of mechanical engineering course. About 60% of the students those who applied for placements are placed in different companies. One student is offered a salary package of 11 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 3.75 LPA. Many companies visit our campus for recruitment. Some of the reputed companies are Diakin, Toyota, Voltas, Bosch. Along with theoretical knowledge, Don Bosco has great workshops for practical work. Almost 90% of the students do intern...

Don Bosco Institute helps students to put the best foot forward in this world.

Placements: Placements for IT and computer branches are brilliant. The average salary packages offered for the students are approximately 5-7 LPA. A very few core companies visit the institute to offer placements for students of mechanical, electronics and telecommunication branches. Indian Navy facilities are also available by the college.

Review of Don Bosco Institute of Technology, Mumbai.

Placements: Placements in our college are average. Companies flow in from over and above. Although good startups like Zycus and Media. Net visit the campus, great dream companies do not visit the college. The average package offered is around 3.5 LPA. Internships are offered to students through the internship expo held during the technical festival called Colosseum.

DBIT is a college for everyone.

Placements: Only a few students get core jobs. The competition is very tough. A lot of companies visit the campus to conduct interviews which are open for the students of all branches. For mechanical students, it is very difficult to get placed because most of the core companies conduct pool campus drives.

The college is really good and easily accessible but has some cons.

Placements: The placement percentage is a bit low for mechanical engineering compared to other departments. Core companies like L&T visit the campus to offer technical jobs to students, and not sales. If you become a TPC, you will get an extra chance of appearing for core companies, whereas the other students can't appear for other interview once they got placed in a company. All the details are provided to students before the company arrives, and the placements are well coordinated by TPC. The highest sala...

A review of DBIT college, Kurla.

Placements: Placements in college are quite decent because the computer, EXTC, and IT students get good placements. Placements for the mechanical branch are okay. Companies like TCS and L&T also visit the campus, especially Accenture hires in bulk. Placements have improved now as compared to the previous batches.

Overall I am satisfied with the college.

Placements: Mechanical being the core branch, but the number of students got placed quite less compared to the IT and computer branch, where almost 100% of the students being placed. However, the TPO tried his level best to get the students placed, and also students had already planned their future by opting for higher education.

Great college and infrastructure. Good faculty members and good placement records.

Placements: The placement records are quite good nearly 90% of the students are placed in "my branch". Only 2-3 core companies came to our college, while of the remaining some were core companies but they had sales profile and remaining were sales companies. The placement records for IT, COMPS and EXTC are also quite good. Most of the companies came for these branches.

Good but sometimes not that good.

Placements: I got placed in Samsung India Electronics. The placement officer Bharat Bhandari helped other students and me a lot. Our TPO is great. My senior batch students were not lucky because of their TPO named XXX. Overall, you can say the current TPO is the best, but it depends on you, how well you represent yourself in the interview and be able to crack it.
