Experience at Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology, Bangalore.
Placements: The salary packages offered to students range from 18 Lacs (the highest) to 2.5-3 Lacs (the lowest). Regular recruiters include prominent companies such as TCS and Wipro. However, there is scope for improvement in terms of the quality and quantity of companies participating in the placement process. The placement prospects are decent during stable economic times but are significantly impacted during recessionary periods.
Infrastructure: The college infrastructure is currently undergoing renovation to improve facilities. The hostel, which costs 90,000 per year, provides decent accommodation with clean rooms and good safety measures. However, the food quality is average, and there is a strict curfew in place, particularly for female students (8 PM).
Faculty: The teaching staff is a mix of experienced and inexperienced faculty members, with some displaying a keen interest in teaching while others seem less engaged. The syllabus coverage is approximately 60-70%, with the remaining portion assigned to students as group activity presentations. Students are expected to complete the last 1-2 units of the syllabus independently.
Other: The college hosts two major cultural festivals annually - Kannada Kalarava and Sanskruti - in addition to branch-specific festivals. These events bring students together to celebrate and showcase their talents. Furthermore, new clubs are formed each year, organizing various festivals and activities that promote dancing, sports, and other interests.

Better than many other colleges. Worth the feel.
Placements: The average package is about 6 LPA. Companies like TCS, Byjus, IBM, etc., visit for placements. Placement training is also provided by the college from the 1st semester till the 7th semester. Even though it is not up to the mark, placements are decent compared to many other colleges.
Infrastructure: The campus and hostel are equipped with Wi-Fi. The library is completely digitalized, and the labs are well-equipped. Every classroom has a projector and white screens. Washrooms are on every floor. Separate hostels are provided for boys and girls. The mess food is also good. Washrooms in the hostel are a big concern due to less hygiene and maintenance.
Faculty: Faculty are humble, kind, and knowledgeable. They are supportive and encouraging. The curriculum is relevant and makes the students industry-ready. Exams are not much difficult and are easy and relevant. Since our college is autonomous, the syllabus, examination, and evaluation are done in the college itself.
Other: The campus doesn’t seem like 20 acres; it’s smaller than expected. It would be a bit difficult to navigate through the campus at the start. The blocks are confusing.

An average college with basic academics and an average placement cell.
Placements: About 60-70 % of students get placed in mass recruiting companies like TCS and Wipro with an average package of 3 - 7 LPA depending upon the job role. Some students manage to get good placements through off-campus. The highest package someone got is 25 LPA. The average package of the institution is around 7 LPA.
Infrastructure: The facilities are just basic, enough to meet your basic purpose. The classrooms are average. The library is good enough to support your academics. The hostel infrastructure is above average. The rooms are quite good with above-average food quality. The gym, sports and indoor games are in average condition.
Faculty: The teachers are knowledgeable about the subject, but not very helpful. The teaching quality is good with the basic curriculum. However, it does not make you industry-ready. The semester exams are moderate in difficult level. Anyone who studies well can get above 8+ CGPA.
Other: Campus life is not up to the mark. Some are here to get a degree while some are doing timepass. The fests are not that good. It is just a basic stage show.

My college life at Dr. Ambedkar Institute Of Technology.
Placements: In our college, about 70-80% of students got placed in the CSE or ISE courses. The highest salary package offered in our college is 20 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered is 3.5 LPA. The average salary package offered is around 4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are mostly mass hiring companies like TCS and Wipro visit the college to hire students. Some students got internships in companies like TCS and Wipro. A software developer is a top role offered in our course.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi is available in our hostel as well as in the college but the speed of the internet is not very fast. We have a pretty decent library which has a capacity for 100 students. Labs are a little old but okay. Classrooms are also old, and the mess food is average.
Faculty: Teachers are well-qualified and knowledgeable. However, they are not that helpful. Sometimes we have to cover our syllabus by ourselves because teachers cannot finish it on time. The course curriculum is more theory-based than practical. For industry knowledge, students have to gain some practical knowledge. They focus on theory knowledge more so I do not think they make students industry-ready. Semester exams are not very difficult. If students study 2 or 3 days before exams, then they will easily score good marks. About 40 marks are required to pass any subject.
Other: I chose this course through COMEDK counseling. The college is in Bangalore and it is the best course which I can get so I chose this course. The best thing about this course is it teaches me how to cover the whole syllabus in one day. I wish teachers were a little more helpful towards students. There are 2 fests in our college. The campus is not very big. The connectivity is good. For extracurricular activities, there are some clubs.

Dr. AIT College review by students.
Placements: The placements in our college are not too good; they are okay. It mainly depends on the course. The maximum number of CS students will get placements, but for other courses, the chances of getting placements are lower. The highest package for CS students is 18-29 LPA, and the lowest is 2-5 LPA.
Infrastructure: AIT is an old government-autonomous college. The infrastructure of the college is old, and the building is also very old. It is not a big college; it is very small because it was built in 1982. Recently, they have only built one new building. The hostel is okay, but it is not too good.
Faculty: Our college is autonomous; it follows its own schedule and exam schedule, but the rules it follows are based on VTU rules. It conducts exams based on its scheduled time. The question paper doesn't come from other colleges. In our college, they prepare the question papers themselves.
Other: Our college fees are lower compared to other colleges. The college is not big, so there is no big garden or ground. There is no place to sit outside the classes. The previous garden we had has also been removed, and they are building something there now.

Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology is good for those who come through KCET
Placements: College placement was decent for CET students. This college will give a good return on investment, but for COMEDK students, not so much. Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology is good for those who come through KCET because, for CET students, the fee is very low. The college is government-aided, so CET students get a discount in fees, but for students coming through COMEDK, this college is not worth it.
Infrastructure: Food quality was not good, but in Bengaluru, the price they are asking is manageable. Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology is good for those who come through KCET because, for CET students, the fee is very low. The college is government-aided, so CET students get a discount in fees, but for students coming through COMEDK, this college is not worth it.
Faculty: Because the college is autonomous, students have relief and are less stressed about studies. Dr. Ambedkar Institute of Technology is good for those who come through KCET because, for CET students, the fee is very low. The college is government-aided, so CET students get a discount in fees, but for students coming through COMEDK, this college is not worth it.
