B.Tech. in Electronics and Telecommunication Engineering - Batch of 2016
2.4

Our college is not recommended for B.Tech at the current time.
Placements: It is not a good campus, and our college condition is at its worst now. It was a good college earlier when we joined, but by the time, it became very bad. They assured campus placements, but when we finished, none of us got a job that we studied for. Few got support-related jobs.
Infrastructure: The course and college were good till 2013, but after that, many people didn't join, so they failed to pay the faculty members. Eventually, it failed. So, there is no point in joining this college now, and I suggest you better choose a different engineering college which assures you a job or the knowledge what it took to get a job.
Faculty: Our college had few great lecturers, but with the time, all left due to bad management. There were few PhD lecturers, but they left after a year or two. Now it doesn't have any faculty members. Mostly, there are 6-7 students in each branch now. Management is also not good.

Best Eastern Academy of Science and Technology engineering college of Odisha.
Placements: The placements were good before 2011. As IT industry is declined, it was bit low. The core company campus was higher this time with more than 250 placements in the year. Around 85% of the students were placed in my year. My senior batch placements were more than 100%, as a few guys got an offer from more than one company.
Infrastructure: The college has a very good infrastructure. There are well-maintained classrooms and labs. It is fully Wi-Fi enabled campus. Indoor sports and outdoor sports facilities are available. The campus canteen is great with a variety of food including Indian, Chinese, and continental. There is a swimming pool on the campus. There are 50 fleets of buses for transportation. There are two big hostels to accomodate 800 students.
Faculty: The faculty members are good. They are from IITs and government colleges of Orissa. All of them are M.Tech degree holders. We have faculty members from various IITs like IIT-Kharagpur, IIT-Kanpur, IIT-Varanasi, etc. Nowadays, the digital teaching methods are used to clear the understanding of concept materials.
Other: Annually, sports event takes place in this college.

I am satisfied because of the faculty members.
Placements: The placement for my batch was not good. We struggled a lot to get a job. At that time I was attending off-campus drives so that I can get the job, and about 5 percent of the students were placed in this college. The highest offered salary was 3.4 LPA, and the lowest was 2.0 LPA. Few local companies visited the campus. The roles offered to students were the analyst, software engineer, etc. About 2 percent of the students got a free internship from college. There is a placement cell in this college, but it's useless.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi facility in this college was good. Even labs, classroom, library, sports facilities were too good except medical facilities, and I didn't remember that any medical facility available here. The quality of food was too good in the canteen. Even hostel rooms were good. I didn't face any infrastructure related issue during my tenure at the college.
Faculty: The teachers were helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. I was satisfied with teaching. They were able to clear our doubts and help us in resolving problems. I didn't get any industry exposure. They were ready to give extra classes if students had any doubts.

In 2012-2015, there were no placements.
Placements: There are no single placements on the campus, but the study and the environment are good. The college is not good in the placement in comparison to the other old college. So my advice is don't join in this college. Otherwise, you can't get any placement because I am electrical engineering and I am a girl and no placement for me. In our batch, no student got placed.
Infrastructure: All the facilities are good. The lab equipment is not damaged. The classrooms are clean. The ground for the sports is large and good. The infrastructure is good. There is a lift. The computer labs are not that much good as half of the PCs are damaged, and they even not return our money at the end.
Faculty: Some of the branch faculty members are good, friendly, and knowledgeable, but not all of them are knowledgeable. Some come to class, but they will not concentrate on the topic as they waste our time. In the lab, they take viva for the students. In every period, the faculty ask the question to the student, what they taught in the last class.
Other: They organise events like Estrella on the campus. Every year, there is an annual function, and it continues three days and the end day of the function invite any star. They call the star night as any singer or the Bollywood film actor.

Absolutely satisfied because of the faculty and the placements.
Placements: At the time of the admission, the college said to provide at least 5 campus placements, but the truth is there is no campus drive. The students with no placement, begin strike and the result is nothing. While contacting the placement officer, he said that TCS and Wipro would visit, and asked the students to have patience and to stop the strike. After some days, when again asking about the placement, they denied their words of campus drive of TCS and Wipro. Finally, after completion of 4 years, all the students are unemployed. It is the worst college considering the placement.
Infrastructure: The structure of the college is good, but when it comes to the interior part, I will say it is the worst college. There is no Wi-Fi and AC in the labs. In the classroom, maximum of the fans are out of order. The library is good, but no books are available except previous year questions. The classrooms are available, but there are no teachers. According to the infrastructure, it is the worst college.
Faculty: First of all, the number of teachers in this college is negligible. The computer science teacher also teaches to the mechanical students, and the result was, all the students failed in the exam. Among the teachers in the college, 90% of them are not helpful, not well qualified, and not knowledgeable. They only attend the class and read books, and that's enough for them. If any student asks any doubts, they say this won't come for the exam so don't worry about that. The course doesn't finish before the exam. According to the faculty and the course curriculum, it is also the worst college.
Other: In this college, there are no extracurricular activities, events and Fest, except the annual function. There is no scholarship for meritorious students. Nothing is provided by this college.

The students of this college are best.
Placements: When I was studying, there is a huge number of campuses of MNC's coming to our college. Most of my seniors got selected and placed in Pan India. At my stage, a recession there, because of that including me most of my friends suffer to be placed. But still, our college brought up some companies to review the perfect candidates. Nowadays what I hear from my friends is that everything got changed. Now many MNCs are coming to our college.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is the best as it looks greenery. Every year college organises a day to plant trees. And for different courses, there are modern buildings. Where students will get a good environment and also a big canteen is available for all.
Faculty: The teachers are very talented. Most of the teachers are from reputed degree holders. They also have unique teaching quality. For every 60 students, there is one teacher for every subject. The courses offered here are very helpful to explore the industry. Anyone can study in our college. Once you come to our college, you will love it.
