BC / MBC / PMS / Minority Scholarship :
BC / MBC Scholarships are available only to those who are natives of Tamil Nadu and who belong to the caste included in the list of BCs and MBCs. Anyone who is not a native of Tamil Nadu is not entitled to any benefit from any scheme even if he belongs to a caste included in the list of BCs & MBCs of Tamil Nadu.
Post Matric Scholarship scheme is a Centrally Sponsored Scheme and implemented through State Government and UT Administration. The Scheme provides financial assistance to the Scheduled Caste students studying at post matriculation or post-secondary stage to enable them to complete their education.
Minority Scholarship is awarded to meritorious students belonging to economically weaker sections of minority community so as to provide them better opportunities for higher education. Applicants must belong to a minority community as notified by the Government of India. These include Muslims, Sikhs, Christians, Buddhists, Zoroastrians and Jains.
