Placements: Placements are good, it's between 3 lacs to 9 Lacs but students opt for higher studies. Like M.Sc. or internships in quantum computing, etc. The top recruiting company is Wipro. Internships are individually done or through assistance from professors mainly through linkdin.
Placements: Only 20% of students in B.Sc. are placed. 3 lacs per annum to 5 lacs per annum are the highest packages offered. Companies like Trio Motion and other tech and machine-building companies visit. The college offers internships in various sectors and provides good job opportunities.
Placements: From the second year, students become eligible for campus placement. Automobile companies, Vedanta, and Hero Honda companies visited. The average package provided is 4.5 lac. 60% of the total students were placed. To continue my job in the automobile industry and keep preparing for other examinations.
Placements: At Fergusson College, the placements for organic chemistry are average. Around 30–40% of students get on-campus placements, but all the students get internships through the college. After the internship, many students get placements on the basis of their academic records and skills.
Placements: Placement is awesome with the top companies that come to the college and again, it depends on our performance and the way you prepare for the interview. Placements are very good in our college; a lot of reputed big companies come to our college each year and students can get up to INR 200000 per year in packages and more. My plan after getting my degree is to start my own company.
Placements: Placements are started from the 5th semester. Some top companies that visit our college for placements are Deloitte, Snyder Electric, D E Shaw, Capgemini, and other companies. Around 80-90% of students get placed and the remaining students apply for masters. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA and the lowest salary package offered was 2.8 LPA. Students either get a job or others prepare for other examinations and mostly pursue master's degrees in the same course.
Placements: The highest salary package offered is 4.5 LPA after B.Sc. But according to me, students must have to pursue M.Sc. in biotechnology so that the amount of the highest salary package will be increased. You can choose the specific field in which you are interested and do some projects with lecturers which also helps us in better placements.
Placements: Placements are not offered for B.Sc microbiology graduates as it is not possible to get a good job after graduation. PG is necessary. Extra credit system is there in the college which ensures students get enrolled in other activities as well, other than course studies, such as internships.
Placements: Companies like Google, Wipro, Tata, etc., offer placements at Fergusson College for roles like development, testing, and more. Around 60% of students were placed in different companies through college hiring in 2021. A total of 160 students are present in the batch of 2023.
Placements: About 80% of students are from the state and about 89% of students are from other states. Since it is an undergraduate degree, no companies will place you because the course package is not guaranteed. Students can get a lot of internships off-campus for B.Sc. One can become a teacher or a tutor based on their field of interest.
Placements: Most of the students go for higher studies after B.Sc. Students who want placements have a hard time getting it as a B.Sc degree is not worth it. The placement cell of our college is still doing its best to bring companies. Most of their efforts go towards getting students internships while they are pursuing their degree, and the college is doing a phenomenal job at that.
Placements: There's no placement for B.A. B.Sc. however has about 5-10% of placement. There isn't much scope in psychology after B.A. most of the students go for a master's degree hence there's no placement for B.A. Psychology. There are some paid internships provided during the summer term.
Placements: Placement opportunities are not very good in this particular course. Not many companies come for placements for this field, and the ones that visit do not select students from the Bachelor's degree. There is no proper communication with the placement cell. There is not much talk about how to form our careers ahead.
Placements: There is no placement cell for the environmental science department in Fergusson College. The teachers also don't make any effort to get us jobs or provide any internships related to the field. You need to work on it yourself and apply wherever and whenever you get a chance.
Placements: About 80% of students get placement easily. The highest salary package offered was 5 LPA, and the lowest salary package offered was 2 LPA. About 60% of students from our course got an internship. It supports you in every possible manner and guides you towards your future.
Placements: I am currently pursuing B.Sc in geology final year, and we don't have any placements. In the last year, there were a few common placements for all the third-year students, which are not related to their respective subjects. But this year, we don't even have placements. Maybe there are placements for M.Sc students or other subjects, but I don't know about them.
Placements: I did not sit for placements, so I don't know in detail, but we did have quite a few companies coming for placements and ZS is one of them. As far as I am aware, the highest salary offered was about Rs. 40,000 per month. Our college does not offer internships, but a lot of students applied for internships on their own.
Placements: As per geology is concerned, most of the jobs are allotted to students with a master degree. Students from our batch made it to IITs through IIT JAM. TOP recruiting companies are Schlumberger, TCS, TOM, Thermax, MOIL, ONGC and Reliance. Almost 50-60% of the students got internships in reputed organisations like Geological Survey Of India, GSDA, CWPRS, PRL and ONGC. Top roles offered are geologist, mudlogger, geophysicist and GIS specialist.
Placements: I am studying B.Sc in physics. Infosys had visited to recruit B.Sc graduates. For the chemistry stream, they had offered good starting salary packages. The main role offered was data entry. Not many students opt for placements as they wish to opt for further education. Placements for the computer science stream are better.
Placements: There is a separate building on the campus for the placement cell. The college provides placement opportunities, but it's good only for a few students. The academics and other personal traits matter a lot for placements. Internships are also provided.
