FDDI AIST Exam 2025: Registration & Exam DATE, Eligibility, Syllabus, Admission Process & Schedule

FDDI conducts the All India Selection Test (AIST) to shortlist candidates for admission to professional programmes in Footwear Design, Leather Goods & Accessory Design, Fashion Design and Retail & Fashion Merchandise. 

FDDI AIST 2025 entrance exam scores will be used for admission to bachelor's, masters and integrated programmes at FDDI.

Footwear Design & Development Institute has closed the application forms for FDDI AIST 2024.

The application was available from October 25, 2023, to May 7, 2024.  

The application form could be filled out by candidates who meet the program-specific eligibility criteria prescribed by the institute.

To fill out the application form, the candidate had to follow the steps listed below:

1. Online registration - The candidate will have to first get registered and create an applicant account.
2. Access the application form - Log in to the newly created account to access the application form.
3. Fill out the form - The application form will have various fields, like academic, personal, and contact details. Fill in all the mandatory fields.
4. Upload documents - Next upload the documents as per the specified format.
5. Pay the application fee - The application fee is Rs. 600 for General/OBC (Non-Creamy)/GEN-EWS Category candidates, and Rs. 300 for SC/ ST/
   PWD Category candidates.

FDDI AIST Eligibility Criteria 2025

FDDI AIST 2024 Eligibility Criteria for BDes

• The candidate must have passed 10+2/ qualifying examinations, or
• The candidate must have passed the School Examination conducted by the National Open School with a minimum of five subjects, or
• The candidate must have passed an AICTE-approved 3-year full-time Diploma after Class X offered by the Board of Technical Education of any state or Union territory

It may be noted that aspirants who are appearing for their 10+2 examination in 2025 are also eligible to apply for admissions.

Age Limit: FDDI entrance exam eligibility criteria state that aspirants who are 25 years of age or below as of July 1, 2025, can appear for FDDI AIST 2024 for UG admissions.

It may be noted that aspirants who are appearing for their graduation examination in 2024 are also eligible to apply for admissions.

Age Limit: There is no age restriction for aspirants applying for PG course admissions.

FDDI AIST 2025 Eligibility Criteria for MBA Retail & Fashion Merchandise

FDDI AIST eligibility criteria for MBA (Retail & Fashion Merchandise) is such that candidates should be a graduate in any discipline in order to be eligible for admission in this course. It may be noted that aspirants who are appearing for their graduation examination in 2025 are also eligible to apply for admissions.

Candidates with a valid MAT score are also eligible for admission in MBA course offered at FDDI.

Age Limit: There is no age restriction for aspirants applying for PG course admissions.

FDDI AIST Exam Center 2025

The Footwear Design and Development Institute (FDDI) releases the list of FDDI AIST 2025 exam centers on its admission portal. The candidate has to select their choice of exam center when filling out the application form.

FDDI AIST 2025 exam centers

The admit card for the FDDI AIST exam will be released by around the 1st week of May 2025.

The candidate has to download the admit card using their candidate log-in credentials. The admit card will carry information like the date and time of the exam, details of the allotted exam center, roll number, and exam-day guidelines.

On exam day, make sure that you bring with you the admit card and valid photo-ID proof.

Aspirants will need to go through the admission process steps listed out by FDDI very carefully so that they do not make any errors while seeking admission at this design college.

Step 1: Filling FDDI AIST application form

To apply for the exam, candidates will need to fill out the FDDI entrance exam application form in online mode on the official website of the college. 

Candidates can pay FDDI AIST 2025 application fee in online mode via debit/ credit card.

Application Fee: Rs 600 (for General/ OBC) and Rs 300 (for SC/ ST/ PwD).

Step 2: Receiving FDDI entrance exam admit card

The FDDI AIST admit card will be issued to candidates who have successfully filled out the application form. Candidates can download the admit cards for FDDI AIST 2025 from the official website of FDDI as per the schedule. On exam day, the candidate will have to carry the admit card to sit in the exam.  

Step 3: Appearing for FDDI AIST 2025

FDDI AIST 2025 exam will take place in a paper-based mode at various test centres across the country. The question paper will include objective-type questions. The test duration will be 3 hours. 

Step 4: Declaration of FDDI Entrance Exam Result

FDDI AIST results will be announced on the official website of the institute. The All India Merit List for FDDI AIST is prepared based on marks obtained by the candidate in the entrance exam.

Step 5: Appearing for FDDI Counselling

After the result of FDDI, shortlisted candidates will have to appear for the counselling round. In this step, selected candidates will be given the option to select the programme as well as FDDI campus of their choice. However, here the thing to note is that candidates can only select the programme/campus which is available to them as per their rank. In the counselling round, candidates will have to specify their course/campus preference on the basis of the FDDI AIST merit list.

Any candidate who is offered a seat after the counselling round at FDDI will have to pay an amount of Rs 25,000/- at the time of counselling/admission to reserve the seat. This includes Rs 20,000/- Advance Fee to be adjusted against the balance fee + Rs 5,000 (Non-Refundable) Counselling Charges.

The Verbal Ability section will have two sub-groups-Comprehension and Grammar. In this section, a total of 10 questions will be asked from Comprehension and 30 questions will be asked from topics such as grammar, usage, etc.

The Footwear Design and Development Institute will announce the FDDI AIST 2025 results around the last week of on May 2025.
