The AIFD WAT 2025 result will be declared tentatively in May 2025. The results of the entrace exam were declared for all candidates who have appeared in the online mode. To check their results, candiadte will have to log-in to the admission portal.
The result will include, among other details, the qualifying status of the candidate. Such candidates who qualify in the exam can appear in counseling.
What is AIFD WAT?
Army Institute of Fashion & Design (AIFD) came into existence in 2004 in Bangalore under the aegis of the Army Welfare Education Society (AWES). Earlier the college conducted a Written Admission Test (WAT) every year in order to provide admission to candidates in Design programs offered by it. However, since 2021 the AIFD is conducting Online Admission Test (OAT). The programs offered by the institute are given below:

Note: UG Degree program in Interior Design & Decoration and Fashion & Apparel Design are affiliated to Bengaluru North University. 10% of seats are offered to civilians.
Q: Â What is the AIFD WAT eligibility criteria for 4-year UG Fashion and Apparel Design program?
For admissions to four-year UG Fashion and Apparel Design programme, candidates should have passed Class XII with at least 35% aggregate marks from a recognised board. Candidates who pass Class XII through open school or distance education system are not eligible for AIFD admissions. It is to be noted that only children of Army personnel or ex- Army personnel can register for AIFD exam.
Only such candidates who meet the prescrived criteria must apply. If the candidate doesn't meet the criteria, his or her applications may be cancelled.
Q: Â What are the subjects included in AIFD WAT syllabus?
The question paper of AIFD WAT 2025 will be based on General Awareness, Intelligence & Reasoning and English Language Competency & Comprehension. Besides these candidates are also recommended to practice sketching and shading to perform well in the design aptitude questions.
The syllabus will help the candidate identify which topics to study, the weightage of topics, etc.

Note that the allotment of seats will be as per the merit rank of the candidate in AIFD WAT 2025. Such candidates who are alloted seats will have to pay the seat-acceptance fee to confirm their seats.

The Army Institute of Fashion & Design has closed the AIFD WAT 2025 application form.Â

Step 1: Get Registered
For AIFD WAT registrations, candidates first need to fill out the application form in online mode. For the same, candidates can register themselves on the official website of the institute.
Step 2: Pay the application fee
The AIFD application fee is INR 1000, which candidates need to pay online.Â
Step 3: Get AIFD WAT Admit Card
Candidates receive AIFD WAT admit cards via email. In case a candidate does not receive AIFD WAT 2025 admit card within the stipulated time, he/ she should approach the principal of AIFD (stating his/her name, address, and application form number) immediately.
AIFD WAT Eligibility Criteria
Admission to the Army Institute of Fashion and Design is for the children of eligible serving Army personnel, eligible ex-Army personnel, and wards of war widows/widows of the Army. The children of under mentioned categories of Army personnel are eligible and they are required to submit the relevant certificate as given against the category applicable to them as proof of their eligibility for admission to the Army Institute of Fashion and Design along with the Application Form.
1. The applicants must fall into one of the following categories:-
- Children of serving Army personnel with a minimum of 10 years continuous service in the Army
- Children of ex-Army personnel granted/awarded regular pension, liberalized family pension, family pension, or disability pension at the time of their superannuation, demise, discharge, release medical board / invalid Medical Board. This includes wards of recruits medically boarded out and granted disability pensions.
2. Adopted / Step Children and Children of Re-married Widows:-
- Adopted child of Army personnel if adopted at least five years prior to seeking admission.Â
- Stepchildren are eligible provided they are born from a wedding where at least one parent belonged to the Army who is otherwise eligible.
3. Eligibility Criteria in Special Cases:-
- Eligibility Criteria for Wards of Ex Army Medical Corps Officers / Army Dental Corps Officers Presently Serving with Indian Navy or Indian Air Force (IN / IAF). Wards of only those ex Army medical officers / Army Dental Corps officers presently serving with Indian Navy or Indian Air Force who have served with the Army for 10 years.
4. Eligibility Criteria for Children of APS / MNS / TA PersonnelÂ
- Wards of APS personnel classified as ex-servicemen as per Govt of India, Ministry of Defence letter.
- Children of those APS personnel who are on deputation and who have put in 10 years of service in the Army.
- Children of APS personnel, who are directly recruited into APS who have completed 10 years of service and of those who as per their terms and conditions of service, retired from APS without reversion to P&T Department after completing their minimum pensionable service of which 10 years was in the Army.
- Children of only those members of MNS who have 10 years service as regular members of MNS or are in receipt of pension from the Army.
- Children of only those TA personnel who have completed 10 years of Embodied Service.
- Wards of IN and IAF personnel, both serving and retired.
- Wards of serving personnel of Assam Rifles
- Wards of civ. Based on a valid NIFT / OAT score of AIFD
Educational Qualification: The applicant must have passed 11th and 12th Std having studied same combination for two years regular students with a minimum of 35% aggregate marks from a board recognized by UGC/University. Candidates who have passed their 10+2 examination as a regular candidate are only eligible for admission to B.Sc. (FAD) and B.Sc (IDD) as per Bengaluru North University norms.
Note: Candidates who have passed through distance education system or privately through NIOS (National Institute of Open Schooling) have to offer the same combination of subjects in both 11th and 12th Standard. Admission through Online Admission Test (OAT).
Physical Fitness: Besides fulfilling the eligibility conditions, the candidate should be certified by MH / RMO / Registered Medical Practitioner as physically and mentally fit to pursue the course.Â
Q: Â Can I select the exam center of my choice?
Candidates were asked to fill their choice of AIFD WAT 2025 exam centre for the OAT at the time of filling out the AIFD WAT 2025 application form. As far as possible, the examination centres will be allotted to the candidates as per their first / second choice. The AIFD WAT 2025 exam will be coducted in 38 cities across India.
On the day of the exam, the candidate needs to report at the exam centre as per the reporting time mentioned in the admit card. Note that latecomers may not be allowed entry inside the exam center.

Design Aptitude is a test that is a part of most of the Design entrance exams in India. Through this test, the Design institutes examines the designing and creative ability of candidates. Q: Â From where can I get the certificates required to upload?
Only the candidates falling into specific category had to fill the certificate 1, 2 or 3 (as applicable). Other candidates had to only provide the Declaration by Parent, Willingness Certificate etc. The format of such documents is given on the official website. Also candidates can download the formats from Shiksha.
When filling out the form, the candidate must carefully follow the specific instructions mentioned for each document. If there is any discrepancy, applications may be rejected.
AIFD WAT 2025 Admission ProcessÂ
Candidates seeking admission to Army Institute of Fashion & Design (AIFD) have to follow the process as under:
Step 1: Appear for AIFD Test
The entrance test for admission to the UG Course offered by AIFD Bangalore, will be held online. The Online Admission Test (OAT) 2025 will be conducted in April 2025, from 10 am - 1 pm at notified examination centers.Â
Step 2: Check AIFD Result
The college will declare AIFD WAT results on its official website. Shortlisted candidates can secure admission at the college by paying registration fee of INR 10,000 and hostel fee of INR 5,000 within 7 days of AIFD result being published. Students can pay the fee through RTGS/NEFT. No cheque or cash will be accepted. After sending the payment through RTGS/NEFT candidates have to forward an email to aifd@awesindia.edu.in with transaction number and details of student for confirmation.
Step 3: Declaration of Final List
Announcement of final list of selected candidates for admission will be published in the institute website.

There are three sections in the exam: Reasoning, General Awareness and English Competency. The candidate must prepare for the exam as per the official syllabus only. It is because questions in the exam will be asked from the syllabus updated on the admission portal.
Candidates will be asked questions from logical reasoning, numerical ability, series and sequencing etc. The English section will include questions related to spellings, vocabulary, Odd one out words, analogy, grammer related topics and an essay on any current topic.

The scrutiny of online application and uploaded documents will be done after application closes. Candidates who successfully complete the application process will be issued admit cards and were elgible to appear in the entrance exam.

Q: Â When will the NIFT 2025 application form open?
The online application form for NIFT 2025 is OPEN with regular fees from November 22-January 6, 2025.
With late fees, applications will be accepted from Janaury 7-9, 2025.
The application will be available online at niftadmissions.in. The NTA will also release the detailed admission notification, including the eligibility criteria and information brochure.
Candidates who met the precribed eligibility criteria for their programme can fill out the NIFT 2025 application form before the last date.

Q: Â When will the NIFT 2025 entrance exam be conducted?
The written tests for the NIFT 2025 exam will be held on February 9, 2025. The detailed schedule has also been released.
The written tests will comprise a General Ability Test (GAT) and a Creative Ability Test (CAT). GAT is mandatory for all candidates, but CAT is only required for B. Des and M. Des candidates.
The GAT test will be considered in a computer-based mode, whereas the CAT will be offline based. Note that scores of the written exams will be used to shortlist candidates for a Situation Test/ Personal Interview.
AIFD WAT 2025 Pattern
The AIFD exam pattern is such that the question paper consists of objective-type questions of 100 marks that candidates need to complete in a duration of three hours. Apart from that, the paper also contains short essay-type question(s). Subjects from which questions are asked in the exam include Intelligence and Reasoning, General Awareness and English Language Competency & Comprehension. The medium of test is English only. Q: Â When do I need to start my preparation for NIFT 2025 exam?
The NIFT exam is among the competitive and is also considered among the toughest. So, it is recommended that the candidate starts their exam preparation well in advance, say with around 1 years time in hand. Note that the NIFT exam has various components like written exam and Situation Test /Personal Interview. Candidates seeking admission to the B. Des and M.Des courses need to prepare for both the CAT and GAT. The CAT is a drawing-based exam, meaning the candidate will be evaluated on parameters like intuitive ability, power of observation in concept development, and design ability. Now unless the candidate is already well-versed, developing these skills will take time. So, it is prudent to start early. The same goes for the GAT.
Q: Â When will the application forms for NID 2025 be released?
NID application form 2025 opened on September 3, 2024. The application form is open online at the NID admission portal -admissions.nid.edu. Candidates who meet the program-specific eligibility criteria may apply before the last date.
The NID application form is for admission to the B. Des and M.Des courses offered by participating colleges.
The last date to apply for NID DAT 2025 is December 6, 2024 (extended from December 3). The candidate can also edit the submitted application from December 4-9, 2024.
The NID DAT 2025 (Prelims) exam will be conducted on January 5, 2025.
Q: Â When will the NID DAT 2025 Prelims exam be conducted?
The National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct the DAT Prelims exam on January 5, 2025.
The B.Des exam will be held from 10 am - 1 pm; meanwhile, the M.Des exam will be held from 10 am - 12.30 am.
The DAT Prelims for the B.Des programme will be conducted in a paper-and-pencil/pen mode. The question paper may incude both textual and visual questions. Other details like duration of the exam, marking scheme, etc. will be published in the DAT Prelims admit card.
The candidate needs to report for the exam at 8 am. Gates closing time is 9.30 am.
The DAT Prelims exam for the M.Des programme will be conducted offline and include a mix of objective and subjective questions. The paper will have a total of 100 questions.
Q: Â Who can participate in the WWI Personal Interview?
Candidates who qualify in the WWI 2025 written exam will next have to appear in a Personal Interview. The list of eligible candidates will be publised on the admission portal.
Note that is mandatory for the candidate to appear in all the stages of the WWI entrance exam. Or else the candidate will not be included in the merit list.
AIFD WAT 2025 Admit Card
The admit card for the OAT will be available for downloading online after registration. In case the admit card is not available online/received by the candidate, he/she should approach Principal, AIFD stating his / her full name, address, and his / her application form number so as to facilitate the dispatch of the duplicate admit card (Telephone No of AIFD is 09035316000 / 8792669001).
Q: Â What is the eligibility criteria for UCEED 2025?
To appear in the UCEED 2025 exam, the candidate needs to meet the following criteria:
Age limit: The candidate must be born on or after October 1, 2000. In the case of candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories, there is a relaxation of 5 years.
Number of attempts - A candidate is allowed to appear in UCEED exam for a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years.
Academic requirements - The candidate must have passed 10+2 exam in 2024. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam in the exam year may also apply. Also, note that students from all streams are eligible for UCEED 2025.
Q: Â What is the application fee for UCEED 2025 exam?
The application form for UCEED 2025 has opened. As per the official notification, the application fee has been revised.

- Female candidates (all categories) and SC/ST/PwD candidates had to pay INR 2,000.
- All other candidates needed to pay INR 4,000 as the application fee.
Mode of fee payment
The fee has to be paid online using credit card/ debit card/ internet banking. Note that the UCEED application fee is no-refundable. This means, once the fee is paid, it will not be refunded whether you appear in the UCEED 2025 exam or not.
