FDDI AIST Exam 2025: Registration & Exam DATE, Eligibility, Syllabus, Admission Process & Schedule

The FDDI AIST 2025 entrance exam will be conducted as a paper-based exam and will be of three hours duration. The question paper will be multiple-choice based. The B.Des paper will include questions from topics like Quantitative Aptitude, Verbal Ability, General Awareness, and Business Aptitude Test & Design Aptitude Test.

The candidate needs to follow the exam pattern when preparing for the exam. Also, make sure to stick to the official syllabus and important topics.

In the previous edtion of the exam, the deadline to pay the fee was July 15, 2024.

The counseling fee has to be paid at the time of seat allotment. The fee will has to be paid by candidates who have been alloted seats. 

Note that the allotment of seats will be as per the FDDI AIST 2025 merit rank. If the candidate fails to meet the cut-off criteria, he or she will not be offered admission.

Candidates who are allotted seats for admission to the various undergraduate and postgraduate design couses through FDDI AIST 2025 has to report at the allotted campus by the given deadline. 

The allotment of seats will be as per the FDDI AIST 2025 merit rank. Also, all allotted candidates need to pay the seat-confirmation fee within the given deadline.

The FDDI AIST 2025 exam will be conducted around the 2nd week of May 2025.

The online application form for NIFT 2025 is OPEN with regular fees from November 22-January 6, 2025.

With late fees, applications will be accepted from Janaury 7-9, 2025.

The application will be available online at niftadmissions.in. The NTA will also release the detailed admission notification, including the eligibility criteria and information brochure.

Candidates who met the precribed eligibility criteria for their programme can fill out the NIFT 2025 application form before the last date.

Note that NIFT application form will be for admission to the B. Des, M.Des B.FTech M.FTech and MFM courses offered by participating colleges.

The FDDI AIST 2025 entrance exam will be conducted to various undergraduate and postgraduate courses offered by the Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI). Popular courses include - B.Des, M.Des, MBA and Fashion Merchandise, and BBA.

The allotment of seats to the above programs will be on the basis of FDDI AIST 2025 merit rank. Also, to participate in the counseling and seat allotment process, the candidate needs to have qualified in the entrance exam.

The NIFT exam is among the competitive and is also considered among the toughest. So, it is recommended that the candidate starts their exam preparation well in advance, say with around 1 years time in hand. Note that the NIFT exam has various components like written exam and Situation Test /Personal Interview. Candidates seeking admission to the B. Des and M.Des courses need to prepare for both the CAT and GAT. The CAT is a drawing-based exam, meaning the candidate will be evaluated on parameters like intuitive ability, power of observation in concept development, and design ability. Now unless the candidate is already well-versed, developing these skills will take time. So, it is prudent to start early. The same goes for the GAT.

The FDDI AIST counseling will be conducted in the 2nd or 3rd week of June 2025. The Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) will release the detailed counseling schedule at the time of declaration of results or sometime thereabout.

The allotment of seats for FDDI AIST 2025 will be based on the merit rank of the candidate in FDDI AIST 2025. Candidates who are ranked higher in the merit list will be given preference in the seat allotment process.

The written tests for the NIFT 2025 exam will be held on February 9, 2025. The detailed schedule has also been released.

The written tests will comprise a General Ability Test (GAT) and a Creative Ability Test (CAT). GAT is mandatory for all candidates, but CAT is only required for B. Des and M. Des candidates. 

The GAT test will be considered in a computer-based mode, whereas the CAT will be offline based. Note that scores of the written exams will be used to shortlist candidates for a Situation Test/ Personal Interview.

NID application form 2025 opened on September 3, 2024. The application form is open online at the NID admission portal -admissions.nid.edu. Candidates who meet the program-specific eligibility criteria may apply before the last date.

The NID application form is for admission to the B. Des and M.Des courses offered by participating colleges. 

The last date to apply for NID DAT 2025 is December 6, 2024 (extended from December 3). The candidate can also edit the submitted application from December 4-9, 2024.

The NID DAT 2025 (Prelims) exam will be conducted on January 5, 2025.

The FDDI AIST 2025 exam will be held sometime around the 2nd week of May 2025. 

Details like reporting time, exam commencement and conclusion, etc. will be mentioned on the admit card, along with exam-day guidelines.

On the day of the exam, the candidate needs to report at the exam center with their admit card and ID proof. Also, note that late comers will not be allowed entry.

The Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) will release the admit cards for the FDDI AIST 2025 exam around the 1st week of May 2025. Admit cards will be issued to all candidates who successfully complete the online application process.

The candidate will have to download the admit card online from the official portal - fddiindia.com.

To download, log in to the portal using your login credentials.

The National Institute of Design (NID) will conduct the DAT Prelims exam on January 5, 2025.

The B.Des exam will be held from 10 am - 1 pm; meanwhile, the M.Des exam will be held from 10 am - 12.30 am.

The DAT Prelims for the B.Des programme will be conducted in a paper-and-pencil/pen mode. The question paper may  incude both textual and visual questions. Other details like duration of the exam, marking scheme, etc. will be published in the DAT Prelims admit card.

The candidate needs to report for the exam at 8 am. Gates closing time is 9.30 am. 

The DAT Prelims exam for the M.Des programme will be conducted offline and include a mix of objective and subjective questions. The paper will have a total of 100 questions.

Sample papers are good resources/ tools to prepare for the FDDI AIST 2025 exam.

So, make it a point to solve as many sample papers you can. you can start solving sample papers from the beginning.

The candidate can be exam ready by solving FDDI AIST 2025 sample papers.

Also, silly mistakes can be fixed by solving sample papers. You can also improve your problem-solving and time management.

The FDDI AIST 2025 exam will be conducted in the following centers.

The candidate can select their choise of exam city at the time of filling out the application form. Note that details of the alloted center will be mentioned on the admit card.

FDDI AIST exam for the B.Des programme may inlcude questions from the following topics:

When preparing for the FDDI AIST 2024 exam, the candidate needs to strictly follow the syllabus. Also, go through the official exam pattern.

As per the FDDI 2025 exam pattern, the question paper of FDDI AIST 2025 for the B.Des and BBA programs will include a total of 150 multiple-choice questions. These questions will be spread over four sections. The test duration will be 3 hours.

The admit card for will be released within a few days of the closure of the FDDI AIST 2025 application form. The application form has to be filled out online.

Admit cards will be issued to successfully registered candidates.

To download the admit card, follow these steps:

1. Go to the admission portal

2. Click on the admit card download link

3. A log-in window will open

4. Enter your candidate credentials

5. On successful log-in, you can download the admit card.

The candidate mustn’t apply if they don’t meet FDDI AIST 2025 eligibility criteria.

Exam officials of FDDI AIST 2025 will verify the eligibility conditions at the time of FDDI AIST counseling 2025. Candidate who don't meet the criteria will be out of the admission process.

Any candidate found forging their eligibility will be disqualified and criminal charges may be levied against the candidate.

The candidate must bring with them a valid photo ID proof on FDDI AIST 2025 exam day. Without the ID, the candidate will not be allowed to take the exam.

The id proof must be displayed when the invigilator asks for it.

You also need to bring the admit card and follow the exam guidelines.

The admit card will include the date and timings of the exam. It will also have the reporting time.

You need to reach the exam centre as per the reporting time, typicall an hour or so before the exam starts. No candidate will be allowed to enter the exam venue once the exam starts.

So, start early and arrive at the exam center on time.

No, the candidate is not allowed to carry electronic gadgets inside the FDDI AIST 2025 exam hall.

Any candidate who is found in possession of such items may be disqualified. 

So, don’t carry such items inside the exam hall. Follow the guidelines issued by the exam conducting authority.

Exam officials will not release any draft answer key for FDDI AIST 2025.

Also, with no answer keys being released, their will be no option to challenge it as well.

The exam officice will directly release the exam results on its admission portal. You can check your results by logging into the result portal.

The Footwear Design & Development Institute (FDDI) will not release any draft answer key for FDDI AIST 2025 exam.

However, if  the institute does release the answer key, link to download the answer keys will be provided here.

Use your candidate credentials to download the answer key.

In case the draft key is released, it will contain details like the answer key code for each question.

The candidate will also be allowed to challenge the draft key in some cases.

The results of FDDI AIST 2025 will be declared online at the admission portal of the institute. 

To check your results, you need to go to the portal and follow these steps:

1. Click on the result link

2. A log-in window will open

3. Enter your log-in credentials

4. On log-in, you can download the scorecard.

Download and take a printout of the scorecard.

The result of FDDI AIST 2025 will be released online. The scorecard will carry the following information.

• The name and roll number of the candidate

• Sectional score

• Overall score

• Merit rank

The FDDI AIST 2025 scorecard can be downloaded in pdf format. 

The FDDI AIST 2025 scorecard will be valid for the current academic session only. So, using the scorecard, you will be able to get admission in the 2025-25 academic session.

You can’t use the scorecard for admission in the next session.

On the day of the FDDI AIST 2025 exam, the candidate must follow these rules:

• They need to bring with them the FDDI AIST admit card and the ID proof

• Reach the exam centre as per the mentioned reporting time

• Follow the exam guidelines, like maintaining decorum, etc.

• Inside the exam venue, follow the instructions of the invigilator. 

To participate in the seat allotment process, the candidate must have qualified in the FDDI AIST 2025 exam.

The seat allotment to various design courses will be based on:

• The merit rank of the candidate in the entrance exam

• The seat intake for the applied program

• Options selected by the candidate

If the candidate doesn’t accept the seat allocated to him or her during FDDI AIST 2025 counseling, the allotment will be canceled.

Also, the seat in that case will be allocated to the candidate next in the order of merit.

So, it is the responsibility of the candidate to pay the seat-acceptance fee by the given deadline.

In the last few days leading up to the FDDI AIST 2025 exam, follow these tips:

• Don’t start any new topics.

• Do timely revision - You need to pay special attention to the difficult topics and those topics that carry maximum weightage.

• Solve sample papers - Solve a few sample papers leading up to the exam

• Take mock tests

• Eat and stay healthy

Candidates who qualify in the WWI 2025 written exam will next have to appear in a Personal Interview. The list of eligible candidates will be publised on the admission portal.

Note that is mandatory for the candidate to appear in all the stages of the WWI entrance exam. Or else the candidate will not be included in the merit list.

The best books for FDDI AIST 2025 will have the characteristics like:

• These books will have a well-know publisher/ author

• Are written per the official FDDI AIST syllabus

• Are typically error free.

• Written in simple and easy-to-understand language.

• Good books will also contain lots of practice material and examples.

To appear in the UCEED 2025 exam, the candidate needs to meet the following criteria:

• Age limit: The candidate must be born on or after October 1, 2000. In the case of candidates belonging to SC, ST, and PwD categories, there is a relaxation of 5 years.

• Number of attempts - A candidate is allowed to appear in UCEED exam for a maximum of two times and that too in consecutive years.

• Academic requirements - The candidate must have passed 10+2 exam in 2024. Candidates appearing in the qualifying exam in the exam year may also apply. Also, note that students from all streams are eligible for UCEED 2025. 

The application form for UCEED 2025 is now closed.

The last date to apply with regular fee was October 31; with late fees, applications were accepted till November 18, 2024.

IIT Bombay opened the application form for UCEED 2025 on October 1, 2024.  It also launched a new website and released the admission notification.

The candidate had the option to apply for UCEED 2025 both with regular and late fees.

UCEED application form is for admission to the B. Des programme offered by participating colleges. Candidates who met the prescribed eligibility criteria were able to apply for admission.

The application form for the FDDI AIST 2025 exam will OPEN in online mode around the 4th week of October 2024. The candidate has to follow these steps to fill the form:

1. Get registered using a valid email id and mobile number
2. Fill the form which will have various fields like personal, academic, and contact details.
3. Upload photograph and signature
4. Pay the relevant application fee.
5. Submit the form. 

The General/OBC (Non Creamy)/GEN-EWS Category has to application fees of INR 600, while SC/ ST/ PWD Category need to pay INR 300. The application fee is non-refundable and has to be paid online. 

The application fee for the FDDI AIST 2025 exam will be category specific:

1. General and OBC categories - INR 600
2. SC, ST, and PwD categories - INR 300

The application fee has to be paid in online mode using net banking, credit or debit cards. Also, one needs to pay the fee applicable for their respective categories.

The application form for the FDDI AIST 2025 will OPEN around the 4th week of October 2025. In the previous edition of the exam, the application opened on October 25, 2024.
