The college is good based on faculty, infrastructure and circumstances but placements are poor.

Placements: Nowadays, there is a very poor condition of placements. Only 10-15 students are placed from 140 of our department. There is a lack of opportunities and lack of seats. We are facing too many problems but this college was not like this 2 years ago, I mean before 2017.

In short, the faculty are good, but the college as a whole, stands to be a poor one.

Placements: Regarding placements, there has been a fairly good record of students getting placed every year but keeping in view the present scenario, the placements are a matter of concern as the placement cell is not good enough. This year 2018, not even half of the students are placed compared to the last year 2017. Companies like CTS which used to come for on-campus placement is now saying they won't come for on-campus placements. Wipro is one of the many companies which took around 26 candidates out of ...

From the last few years, I am dissatisfied with the faculty and the placements.

Placements: The placement in our college isn't going well. The management should take care of this problem. The college campus is good. The faculty members are helpful and good. The main company, who does the campusing is CTS and Wipro, but from the last few years, they are not responding well.

Average, because they have no duty towards the students and they are not caring about the students.

Placements: The placements in this college are above average. The placements of our batch are 50%. The highest salary offered is Rs. 3 lakhs per annum, the lowest salary offered is Rs. 1 lakhs per annum, while the average salary offered is Rs. 2 lakhs per annum. CTS and Wipro are the companies that visited the campus and offered the roles of the software consultant. As the college provides no internships, the stipends are out of the picture.

Below average engineering college in Kolkata.

Placements: The actual placement was hardly 20% to 25% only and was recruited by Cognizant & Wipro. Rest of the companies was useless. Luckily, I was one of them who got placed in both Cognizant & Wipro. The placement cell is not good and co-operative. Cognizant offered a salary package of 3.35 LPA. Wipro offered a salary of 3.20 LPA. This college has no internal tie ups with companies for the internship. One need to find an internship of his/her own.

There is dissatisfaction due to faculty, normal infrastructure, good placement for CSE, ECE and EE b

Placements: The 1st batch of FIT is passed out in 2018, and their placement is not good enough because it is a new college. There are no placements for the core subjects, and hence students from CSE, EE, ECE got placed in the IT companies. The top recruiting companies are Amazon, TCs and Mindtree, Reliance. The highest salary package offered is approximately 5 LPA.

I rate infrastructure as 6/10. I like to recommend the future generation to go to other colleges.

Placements: Two years ago, the placement quality was good, and it went on deteriorating later, but still, it is maintaining the same pace. Wipro came in the year 2016 and recruited only 19 students which is completely worst. For many years, CTS used to recruit us, but recently it is refusing to recruit and taking only a few candidates.

The college is deteriorating day by day in terms of placement as well as in the quality of students.

Placements: Placement for ECE, IT, and CSE is around 65% whereas, for the core department EE, only 25 students got placed out of 75. The statistics are even poor for ME in which only 15 students got placed out of 75. CTS is the mass recruiter and it took 94 students this year from the entire college and Wipro hired 39 students. Capgemini recruited 22 students from our college in pool campusing and few other students got placed in other pool campusing drives.

Nice but a little compact.

Placements: Well, the placement record is so so. There is a high chance for CSE and IT students to get placed. In the case of mechanical or electrical, it is not that attractive. Most of the companies were non-core companies i.e. from software or IT companies. Companies that have visited our college are CTS, Wipro, TIL, IPSEN, KSE Electricals, Amazon etc.

An average level private college under MAKAUT.

Placements: The placements were average if we consider any college in Kolkata. From the last two years, the job scenario is going down. The IT companies are sacking up people in numbers so the number of freshers being recruited is also going down. The percentage of students being placed department wise is: EE- 25%, ME- 20%, ECE- 30%, CSE- 50%, IT- 50%, AEIE- 30%. The highest salary went around 4.2 lpa, lowest salary was 1.8 lpa and the average was 3 lpa. The main bulk recruiters are CTS and Wipro Technologi...

An average college but value for money.

Placements: We have active placement cell in our college. They tried their level best to place all the students. In our batch, almost all the students got placed except few students who backed out from placement for higher studies. Many companies like TCS, Wipro, IBM, etc. visited for the placements.

Well-equipped labs, excellent library, helpful lab assistant, small grounds, faculty can be improved

Placements: CSE branch with other branches like ECE and IT have a maximum number of students getting placed. approx 70-80% students who have a GPA above 8 have a high probability of getting placed. The salary range varies widely. On an average, you will get 3 LPA. Mostly, TCS, Infosys, and other types of mass recruiter companies visited the campus but it depends on the situation. The company may call all of the WBUT students at one place without visiting any college under WBUT. For internships, it depends o...

FIEM- an above par college with a good payback at that price.

Placements: The placement is good for IT branches is good as the college is located in Kolkata and as we know, Kolkata has a lot of IT companies. So the college offers good job opportunities to the IT branches but for the core branches, placement is not satisfactory. So if you are looking for CSE, ECE, IT branches, then thumbs up for you. You will get enough opportunities to secure a job. But if you are from core branches, you should think twice whether to be admitted or not. ...

This college has many restrictions, but for studies it is very good. No ragging.

Placements: There are below average placements in this college. Except for CTS and Wipro, no big companies visit our campus. After these 2 mass recruiter companies, you have to depend on off-campus drives or pool drives which are a bit tough. It is good for CSE students because they have a 60-70% placement record, but the rest have a below average placement percentage. No core placements.

Good location, library & peers, average placements & teachers with below average campus.

Placements: On-campus placement is above 60% which is above average in respect to current industry scenario. Top recruiters are IT majors such as Cognizant, Tata Consultancy Services, Wipro, Bhakti Info, ITC Info etc. Around 15-20 companies visited for campus interview. However, there are some scenarios where they left college without recruiting anyone especially in core domain (i.e. electrical & mechanical).

My review is average. First of all some faculty members are very bad. And also there is no proper playground. Only a Basket ground is not sufficient for an engineering college. Day by day level of the college is decreasing. Machines and computers are available but not sufficient for students in the lab.

Infrastructure is good, labs are good and faculty is only average. Cognizant and Wipro are the two permanent company which visit college for placement, students have to study very hard to get placement. College gives chance to many pooled campusing. No Wi-Fi campus.

Not too bad, not very good overall speaking. Better try other options before opting for this college. Reputation keeps on going down the ladder. Very few private colleges in WB are good frankly speaking! So better don't risk your life and opt for private colleges in WB (I hate to say so but this is the harsh truth!)

It is a good engineering college. Good infrastructure, good faculties, average placements. I would definitely recommend this college who are thinking to take admission .The placements in core department like electrical and mechanical placement is less than previous years. But software placements are much better. Main recruiters are TCS, Wipro, Infosys, and Capgemini etc.

It’s well established and best private college in WBUT. Everything is average if you compare with other colleges under west Bengal University of technology then it’s one of the top colleges. But actually its standard of faculty is below average and placement is average for CSE and IT department. No core companies recruit on-campus placement.
