The college is good. It's the best college for mechanical in IPU.

Placements: The placements are neither too good, nor too bad. The percentage of placements is 50-60%, which is increasing year by year. The maximum package is about 7.68 lakhs per annum. Companies Like Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Yamaha Motors, Godrej, Infosys and many more come for recruitment. More companies are contacted every year.

Lack of space, facilities are good, good placements in 2015

Placements: Maruti, Honda and Godrej are some companies who gave a good salary package last year and now, L&T and two other core companies are also included who will give approximately the same salary package as mentioned above. But at the same time, the training and placement officer needs to be replaced because he is not working properly for the students.

The least expensive college of them all, and only a single visit will be enough to tell you why

Placements: Not at all guaranteed. Maruti does visit, though, but of course, they won't recruit more than 3-4 students. The highest package was offered by Maruti last year, roughly equal to 7.2 lakhs PA, so if you join this college, please keep backup options ready to follow after graduation. Most of the students start preparing for further exams like GATE, CAT, IES and even SSC. If you are confident that you can stand out amongst other students, then this college can be a good place to start your journey w...

Why not to opt for GBPEC? Because of its small campus. But opt it for all the other reasons.

Placements: Placements from this college are not so good. For MAE, there are only 4-5 companies and the big fishes are Maruti Suzuki India Limited and Godrej. Both of them select only 4-5 students each (sales + technical). Infosys is another big recruiter, but it mostly recruits MAE students for sales/marketing. The highest package was around Rs. 4 lakhs per annum in Maruti Suzuki. You can find lots of GBPEC students in Maruti's Manesar and Gurugram plants.

Overall a good college to opt for because of highly qualified faculty and more practical labs.

Placements: The placements in this college are good. Companies like Maruti Suzuki, Honda, Infosys, Tata AIG, Microsoft, L&T, etc. had visited earlier. 60% of the students got placed. The highest package was Rs. 8.2 lacs pa and the minimum package was Rs. 5 lacs pa. Vocational summer training is conducted by the college itself but no internship is provided. Each branch has its own student placement coordinator.

Satisfied with faculty and laboratories

Placements: Placements are quite good in GBPEC. For 2015-16, placements companies that visited campus were Maruti, Godrej, Infosys, TIL, Sopra Steria and Zimply. The highest package in 2015-16 was offered by Maruti which is 7 lacs per annum to 5 students. Because of new placement faculty, it is expected that the expected number of students placed will be more this year.

Not a good college for overall growth of student.

Placements: Placement is below average. Only about 60-70 students got placed last year, main companies that visit every year are Infosys, Maruti, GODREJ, and that's it. The average salary is around 3-4 lakh. Infosys comes as a mass recruiter and takes around 20-30 students. Most of the students prepare for GATe examinations. No companies visit for internships.

Great in academics but poor in infrastructure

Placements: For the MAE branch, companies like Maruti-Suzuki India Limited, Godrej India and Infosys visit every year and take according to the talent and requirements. Apart from these companies, Honda and Yamaha have also visited and offered a decent package. New companies like Loeshe India and other small companies have also taken some of the students. So, it is a nice college in terms of placements.

Old glory lost due to internal conflicts.

Placements: Honestly speaking, the training and placement department of the college is not very active as the number of companies which visited our college is just one or two. Unlike previous years, mass recruiters like Infosys did not come to our college for placements although we were invited to some other college for Infosys placements, where the chances were minimal. Only one company Yamaha visited our college in the month of August-September and only one student out of a batch of 180 odd students was s...

A great college with great facilities.

Placements: Regarding the placement of this college, I would say it is quite decent almost 80% of the students have a job or a joining letter in their hand. I don't know much about CSE and ECE branches. But for the MAE branch, famous companies like Maruti, Honda and much more come to our college every year taking almost 20% of the student with an average package of 4.5 lakhs PA. So overall, it is the best for MAE.

Really good faculty support, very good labs and workshops, infrastructure is not good.

Placements: The placement of mechanical and automation department is the best among all colleges of IP University in Delhi. Some companies like Maruti Suzuki, Godrej, Honda, Yamaha, Infosys, etc. are coming to the college every year. Approx. 70% students of mechanical and automation department got placed this year. 5 are selected in Maruti Suzuki, 5 are in Godrej and approx. 8-10 in Honda and in other companies also. The highest package was 7 lac pa in Maruti Suzuki and the lowest package was approx. 3.5 la...

Average placement, bad infrastructure.

Placements: Placement is okay for mechanical branch. 15 out of 70 students are placed in my batch. Companies like Maruti Suzuki, Godrej, Tata AIG, Infosys came for campus placement. The highest package is offered by Maruti Suzuki of Rs. 6.5 lac and lowest by Infosys of Rs.3.25 lac per annum. The companies offer the role of an engineer as well as in management. The college doesn't provide any internship on its campus. But sometimes some workshops were organised for the students. ...

Not very satisfactory as expected from any government college of any state.

Placements: Placements also depend upon individual's potential. But few branches get 80% placements every year(CS, ECE, etc). The government companies like BEL, Railways, etc. also visit for placements. Other MNCs like Wipro, Honda, and other companies also visit for the placements. But companies like Honda and Adobe do not visit every year. They come every alternative year.

Worst college of GGSIPU. Don't opt for this college. No placements and infrastructure.

Placements: G.B. Pant Government Engineering College is one of the few government colleges in GGSIPU and it started in 2007. Its first batch got excellent placements. Companies like Indian Navy also came for placements for their batch, so due to that, I took admission in this college in 2016, but afterwards, their placement record has declined drastically. For our batch in 2016, only Godrej and Infosys came for the placements and even these companies took 10- 15 students only. ...

Satisfied because of highly qualified professors.

Placements: Placement is not very good for my batch, but it was better for senior batch where around 30% students got placed. The highest package was of 5.8 lakh whereas the lowest package was 3.25 lakhs. Maruti, Godrej, Yamaha, Infosys, Trauson and Striker, Arvato Bertelsmann, Tata Aig, etc. companies visited for placement drive.

Worthy college, low fees, fair infrastructure and in a prime location of Delhi.

Placements: The placements in the college are below 50 percent. Major companies which hire through this college are Maruti-Suzuki, Godrej, Honda(did not recruit in 2017) and Tata AIG. Infosys also recruited from this college and was only a bulk recruiter. There is a very bad condition for ECE while for CSE, Yamaha and Times Group also recruited students from here. Expect Maruti, all other companies have a sales profile. Maruti offered a package of around 7 lakhs followed by Godrej and AIG with 4.5 lakhs eac...

Lacking infrastructure but quality education.

Placements: The placement ratio has decreased this year as compared to the previous one. The only company visited in this academic year is Infosys for the CSE branch. 30 students were eligible for the test out of which 17 got placed in Infosys. The declining placement rate may be due to the unemployment factor, or it may be the ignorance of our training and the placement department of the college.

Awesome college that provides good faculty within a good connectivity for local Delhiites.

Placements: Placements were fine. Around 30 students out of 60 got placed in companies like HCL, Samsung, Mahindra, Trident etc. The highest package was 6 lacs per annum and the lowest was offered by HCL at 3.2 lacs. Students were placed as an engineer trainee in Samsung and in HCL as a software engineer. All students got the internship from the college, but all internships provided were free service and knowledge-gaining programs.

The best government technical college after IIT, DTU and NSIT in Delhi.

Placements: The college has a good placement record of more than 70%, and various MNCs recruit the students for various profiles here. These companies include Yahama, Maruti Suzuki, Godrej, Honda, Tata AIG, Infosys, TCS, HCL etc. The students getting placed in various companies got packages ranging from 2.5 lakhs to 6 lakhs depending upon the company and calibre of the student.

A good college but yet to develop.

Placements: This college is good for placements in the IT sector only. Most of the students of my batch were placed IT industry, specifically Infosys which visits the campus every year. Overall, the placement was about 80%. There were also placements in the automotive industry for students of mechanical and automation engineering. The companies that visited the campus especially for the MAE branch are Honda, Maruti and Godrej industries.
