Unbiased Review of GCC: The Good and The Bad.

Placements: Placement opportunities are really poor as there is a lack of exposure. Hence, it is advisable to say that no placement opportunities are available. You have to search and opt for internships and job interviews on your own. No such help regarding it is provided by the college.

Somewhat satisfied but improvement in placement.

Placements: The placement percentage is very low, only about 10%. The highest package offered is 6 Lacs per annum, and the average is 3 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies are Asian Paints, Nerolac, Purabi Diary, etc. Most roles were managerial posts, marketing, sales, and administrative posts.

I'm absolutely satisfied with the facilities.

Placements: The percentage of students who get placed in our college is usually 4%, and it depends upon the skills they carry out. The highest package in our college is for MBA, which is 95,000, and the lowest package is in B.Com, which is 8,000. Our college offers.

Average commerce student.

Placements: There are not exactly any placement facilities in the college except only in the MBA department, which provides placement in places like Bajaj Finance and other reputed companies. Overall, there is no such placement facility by the college campus for the students.

Good facilities and pretty infrastructure.

Placements: I never heard if anyone even got placements here but they definitely provide opportunities and courses for you to complete. If you grab it, it's only a step of many stars. About the internship, a lot of the students grabbed that opportunity so it's a great opportunity.

3 years at Gauhati Commerce College.

Placements: The placement cell is almost obsolete in the college. There is no opportunity for internships, group discussion or other personality development programmes. Very few companies with very low-profile job opportunities come for the placement of B.Com. students. However, the placement opportunity for an MBA in the college is better than a B.Com.

The final piece of information you will need to decide your dream college.

Placements: There are only a small number of students who get placed after completing their bachelor's. The highest till now is around 7 to 8 LPA, and the lowest is around 2.5 to 3 LPA. Most of the companies that hire are in insurance or banking, which require accounting. An internship from a college is very rare and only one or two are selected.

Upset regarding the placement and teaching quality but the good campus life.

Placements: Around 25% of students were getting placed in the B.Com course. The highest salary is about 4 Lacs, and the lowest is approximately 60,000 to 70,000 per year. Most of the students get offered around 2,00,000 per year. Top recruiting companies are ITC, Reliance etc. Internship opportunities are equal to zero as the companies show little interest—in student job positions like accountants, managers etc.

Our college has a good infrastructure, but faculty members are not good.

Placements: Around 20% to 21% of students are placed in our course. The highest salary package offered is around 3.5 LPA to 4 LPA, and the lowest is about 0.6 LPA to 0.7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are ITC, Reliance, etc. Internships are rare, and only one or two students get a chance. Top roles offered in the course are accountant, manager, etc.

It's not worth it if you want to do BBA here.

Placements: There are no placements available from the college. They won't provide internships, even though they will make them compulsory.

It's a college with good facilities, exams, and sports.

Placements: Placement opportunities are not so good in our college. They should improve this system. In terms of the percentage of students placed, in my view, it will be around 2%. That's why our college should improve upon this system.

I am dissatisfied with the facilities of GCC. Overall, it is the best commerce college.

Placements: Almost 5% of the students got placed from B.Com. The highest salary package offered is 2.5 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 1 LPA. ITC is the top recruiting company. BPO roles are mostly offered to B.Com students. There are no internships, and none of the companies visited our campus for internships.

Average. The course is average in the college and they are improving with each passing year.

Placements: There is no placement drive or anything for BBA in gcc. They don't do it for BBA student but as it is one of the best college in the city, one can go for off campus recruitment. College will provide you with basics and will teach you how to crack the interviews and all.
