Good college for commerce students.

Placements: Honestly, our college doesn't provide this placement, and about the package, no idea still now. Very few people got internships from the college, only top students. Apart from B.Com, courses like BBA, M.Com, and MBA are available. People who seek these can get admission to this college.

I'm am gladly satisfied with the faculty members .

Placements: The highest package offered is INR 45,000 for BBA, and the lowest package offered is INR 8000 for B.Com. Our college offers B.Com, BBA BCA, MBA, and M.Com too. It is one of the best government colleges in Assam, and many companies recruit students on campus for placement.

The college is absolutely very good. I would really suggest this college.

Placements: For getting into the college, the students at least need to secure 75% or above. The lowest package offered is around 3 Lacs p.a., and the highest package, as per the knowledge, is around 6 Lacs p.a. The recruitment companies were HDFC Bank and many more reputed institutions. In and around, more than 45% of students got internships from those reputed institutions mentioned above. Some of the top roles offered in our course are Investment Banker, CA, Management Consultant, etc.

Life of commerce student

Placements: There is no such fixed placements facility in the college but there are some internship opportunities that are available in the college campus which can be availed by the students in the 3rd semester overall. Personally i would like that the college provides placement facility but if you are looking for placement then you should look for some other college.

Gcc~ the college review, the life, and the course.

Placements: BCom in gcc gives you a value and a good way of learning accounting studies. Talking about placement, it does not have as such a very good record. It varies from 0 to 4 to 5 LPA. So basically, one should put in outside efforts for better placement and job opportunities.

I am not satisfied with placements.

Placements: The placement criteria are not very good, especially in the non-private department. Our college has a campus placement option in the MBA section which is a private branch of the college. There are no direct placements for the B.Com and M.Com students in the college. The number of internships our college provides is also less if compared to other colleges.

Average commerce student.

Placements: Currently, I am in the 1st semester, so I don't know much about placements, but as far as I have heard, there is no placement facility for my program. However, there is a placement facility in the MBA department that provides different placement opportunities, including companies like Bajaj Finance.

All I can say is that I had a good experience at this college in these 3 years. And I'm satisfied.

Placements: Though the college is a reputed institution, it is least known for its campus placements. There is a placement cell (over WhatsApp), which is not very reliable. For placements and all, you'll have to apply somewhere else, as I've heard from some professors.

Review of Gauhati Commerce College.

Placements: The placements are very low. Only the top-ranked students get placements, and sometimes they don't. I haven't seen any companies coming to college. I don't know. I really don't know anything about the placement programs held by the college. Not good in placements.

It is one of the best college in the field of commerce in the entire northeast India.

Placements: Our college does not provide any placements in campus. But NSS ( NATIONAL SOCAIL SERVICE) provide various internship and camps for the NSS members of gCC. But there is a placement cell in our college we not sure if any student is being placed from the placement cell or not.

College is good because of faculty members and good placements.

Placements: Recruitment companies are Wipro, tata steel, HCL etc. The courses offered are MBA, BBA M.Com and many more. More than 75% students got placement from the campus. Students also get internship opportunities to grow up their skillset. Roles offered are like sales manager and marketing manager.

I recommend students to take admission to this college.

Placements: Around 70-80% of students get placed in our college. Our college did not offer any salary package rather than MBA. There is no recruiting company. Since it is a reputed college, students who try for off-campus placements get placed easily.

I am satisfied with the average placements, good infrastructure, and the best location.

Placements: GCC placements are not that good. Only a few students are selected for placements, and the salary is also average. Companies like MRF and others come to our campus for recruitment. Roles like assistant manager, sub-orientates, etc., are offered.

Even if there is 5-10% of students present in the class, the professors never miss the classes.

Placements: The campus placement in this college is relatively high among the other colleges in Guwahati. Students from the 5th semester become eligible for campus placement in several cases. The companies like Axis Bank, Canara Bank, Nestle Ltd, Bata, etc., approach campus placements. The highest salary packages go from 8 LPA to 10 LPA and the average salary package offered is 5 LPA to 6 LPA. About 30-45% of students get placements either from campus or outside the campus after completing their degree seri...

One of the most prominent commerce colleges of Northeast is Gauhati Commerce College.

Placements: Most placements are for the B.A. and M.B.A. students. For B.Com, there are less options for placements and careers. It is a prestigious college in the Northeast. The degree received in this college is more useful than in other colleges. The reason to take admission to GCC is it has maximum benefits.

It is not what I expected before taking admission.

Placements: About 15% of students were placed at our college. The highest package offered is 4.5 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 2.7 LPA. Top recruiting companies are ONGC, Nestle, Reliance, etc. About 30% of students got internships in audit firms. The top roles offered were sales executive, marketing manager, and manager.

I am satisfied with the faculty, infrastructure, and placements of our college.

Placements: Every semester has 600-700 students. Almost 79% to 100% of students were placed in our college. But the reservation is there. ITC and Tata Motors are major recruiting companies. Around 50% of students got internships in the placement programmes. Leadership, communication, and HRM roles are provided under the proper guidance. There are various programmes that are also held to value-add to our lives.

I am satisfied with this college.

Placements: The BBA course does not lead to any placements or jobs directly after graduation but, students who have passed out from Gauhati Commerce College are in a good position for their careers as entrepreneurs, managers, bank employees, etc. This course gives a good opportunity to bring new and innovative ideas to the students.
