    {Source: B.E. / B.Tech students & alumni}

Is it worth pursuing B.E./B.Tech at Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering for Women?

Based on the reviews and feedback from students and alumni, here's what can be concluded:

    * Infrastructure: The college has good infrastructure, with well-maintained buildings, classrooms, and labs. The hostel facilities are also satisfactory, although food may vary in quality.
    * Teaching Faculty: The faculty members are generally well-qualified, knowledgeable, and helpful. They guide students in their studies and encourage them to participate in co-curricular activities.
    * Course Curriculum: The course curriculum is relevant and industry-oriented, preparing students for real-world challenges. However, some students find certain subjects challenging.
    * Placement Record: The college has a relatively good placement record, with around 60-80% of students securing placements every year. Major recruiters include Amazon, TCS, Infosys, and Capgemini, among others. The highest package offered is around 24 LPA, with an average package ranging from 6-12 LPA.
    * Internship Opportunities: Many students opt for internships, which are viewed as essential for gaining practical experience and building networks.
    * Student Life: Student life at GVPCEW is pleasant, with ample opportunities for extracurricular activities, sports, and cultural events. However, some students feel that there could be more emphasis on community engagement and social responsibility.
    * Career Prospects: Electronics and Communications Engineering (ECE) is considered a lucrative career option, with opportunities in both software and hardware domains.

Considering these factors, pursuing a B.E./B.Tech degree at Gayatri Vidya Parishad College of Engineering for Women might be a worthwhile decision for students who:

    * Are interested in pursuing a career in electronics and communications engineering
    * Value a strong academic foundation and industry exposure
    * Appreciate the college's efforts towards placing students in top-tier companies
    * Are willing to adapt to a slightly conservative environment
    * Want to develop their communication, teamwork, and problem-solving skills

However, students should also consider potential drawbacks, such as the possibility of limited internship opportunities and the need to balance academic responsibilities with personal interests. Ultimately, the decision to pursue a degree at GVPCEW depends on individual preferences and priorities.

The college doesn't provide any internships; we have to find them on our own, and it's not mandatory for us to do internships.

Absolutely happy with the college; placements are also good; it is a really disciplined college.
Placements: Every year, around 60% of students get placed at our college. Companies like Amazon, Capgemini, Wipro, Zoho, TCS, etc. visit our college to learn about placement opportunities. The lowest package is 2 LPA and the highest is 24 LPA. Most of the students get offered the Software Development Engineer role; some students were also offered HR roles. Placement opportunities start in the 3rd year ending or at the start of the final year and training and placement assistance will be provided by the college.
Infrastructure: There are a total of 9 computer labs in the college with internet access. And there are separate labs for every department like ECE, EEE, IT, etc. The food in the hostel is completely vegetarian. The quality of food in the hostel is average. Rice, Dal, Sambar or rasam, one fry or gravy curry, and papads are regular menu items. In case of any medical emergency, the faculty will definitely help us and take us to the Gayatri hospital, which is 5 minutes away from the college.
Faculty: The teachers at the college are very helpful and are always available to help us in our academics. The curriculum at the college is well designed and is being implemented. We can give 90% of the ratings to the college for the discipline that is being taught to students there. The course curriculum is very relevant to the current industry trends. The semester exams will be difficult because the classes that are being taught during the semester are enough to easily score pass marks. The pass percentage is 85%.
Other: I am from the 2021–25 batch. I am currently studying for my final year in computer science and engineering. The course curriculum is good. I chose this course because I am very interested in working in the software sector. The improvement or suggestion I give to the college is to provide placement-related training in the 3rd year itself so that students get enough time to practice the concepts. Events and fests at the college occur once a year. Every department will have student clubs to conduct events.

We are happy with our faculty members. And it is a great experience.
Placements: 75% of students are placed in my course. Some of the students are planning for higher studies. The average package was around 6 LPA, the lowest package was around 3.5 LPA. The top recruiting companies were Capgemini, Keka, TCS, Amazon, Wipro, Infosys. Roles offered are Sales Force Manager, System Engineer.
Infrastructure: The facilities are good. The hygiene was well maintained. When it comes to food, they provide only veg, and it is unlimited. Wi-Fi was also provided for everyone. The gym was open all the time, and we can access the library as well. We can also have some cool time there.
Faculty: The faculty members are well qualified and knowledgeable. The quality of their teaching is also good. They provide assignments so that we can improve ourselves in any aspect. Presently, they are following AU syllabus. The exams were quite moderate, and the pass percentage is 95%.
Other: I chose this course so that we are eligible for both government and private sectors. Events and fests are quite few when compared to other colleges.

    Great faculty for studying.
Placements: About 40% students get placements in computer Science courses; the highest package is about 40 lakhs per year; and the top recruiting companies are Google, Amazon TCS, etc. In 2026, about 60% of students will get internship opportunities, and the most popular role is of animator.
Infrastructure: The Wi-Fi for college is super convenient to use, it always works, the labs are air-conditioned, the equipment is really good and the library has all possible materials in it. The hostel facilities are not quite good but they're not that bad.
Faculty: The faculty is excellent, they have high knowledge, the teaching quality is very understandable and it's perfect to score a high CGPA. The course curriculum is very relevant for the students. The semester is a bit difficult but one can write easily if they are regulars in class.
Other: I chose this branch because it's my dream to study CSE and I have knowledge of coding. Maybe they should be less strict about the dress code .

We are satisfied with the faculty. It's really a great experience.
Placements: 75% were placed in software. There are few students who qualified for the GATE. And few others were going for higher studies. The average package was 14 LPA and the lowest package was 3.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are Capgemini, Keka, TCS, Infosys, Accenture, Amazon, Wipro. Roles offered are Salesforce Manager.
Infrastructure: The facilities of the hostel are good. The hygiene was well maintained. They provide fruits twice a week. They also make sure everyone was eating well. But the main thing was non-veg was not provided (chicken, fish, egg), since it's a Brahmin college. Apart from this, they make sure the taste and food were good. Medical facilities were also provided. Security was also maintained well. Wi-Fi was available 24 hours, and library was also provided for the hostel students even on Sundays.
Faculty: Teachers are very supportive and friendly. They guided us very much. They make sure we participate in every activity. They give assignments so that we can improve ourselves in every aspect. Our faculty helps us in every way they can. They also tell us about the different companies and how to get ready for them. The exams were quite moderate. But we can achieve it with our hard work. The pass percentage was 90%.
Other: I chose this course so that we can participate in both government and private sectors. Events and fests are quite fewer compared to other colleges.

Infrastructure: There are many facilities, like a library, a digital library, good-speed Wi-Fi, computer laboratories for computer science students, electrical labs for electrical students and other labs and classrooms with projectors in each classroom. Only vegetarian food is available in the college hostel and the quality of the food is very healthy. There are some sports and games and medical facilities are also available.
Faculty: Yes, the teachers are helpful, qualified and knowledgeable. The quality of teaching is very understandable. Yes, this course curriculum is very relevant; it makes the students industry-ready. The semester exams are very difficult at our college. The pass percentage is 75.
