Very good and nice college for engineering.

Placements: The student who studied in this college can get a very good job in government or private sector with very good pay scales. The college also held job fairs in college for placements in private sector like Jay pee etc. Students can also get job in higher posts in government services like the sub-divisional officer and junior engineer etc.

If you are planning for a better future in engineering, then this college is not recommended.

Placements: The placements are not really good at this college. Small companies from nearby, i.e., Chandigarh/Mohali come for placements that too with the minimalistic package. But, since the college has formed the new university, it is trying to conduct job fairs. If you want to be written as an engineer in front of your name, then go to this college.

Overall, the college was good in the past but not anymore.

Placements: According to me, the placement of the college is approximately 20%. Placements are not held in good companies as good companies do not come to our college. The average package is Rs. 2 LPA. My seniors are not placed anywhere. No internship is given to the students of our college.

A college with good infrastructure, but worst placement records.

Placements: The college has a very bad record of placement. Very few companies came during the placement. The package offered by the company is the worst. The college is good only for its infrastructure. Very bad placement record. 15-20% students are placed, and they were also placed at a very low package of about 1.2 lakhs per annum.

Absolutely satisfied because of faculty, good infrastructure and facilities.

Placements: 40-50 students are placed in a batch with above 60 percent. 1.5lac-20lac per annum is the salary range. Softtech, Red Hat, Infosys, Wipro, Honda, Vardaman, Hero, Maruti Suzuki and other local companies etc. visit here. The role offered is an assistant engineer for B. Tech holders. 25% of the students got an internship with stipend offered. The average package offered was 6 lacs per annum.

Overall, the college is good for the B.Arch and textile students.

Placements: There is only one time when I have witnessed a senior batch farewell, and at that time there was 0% placement in the college for the architecture students. The companies do visit our college for the placements, but only for the engineering students. Although, the students graduating from here get jobs easily as the study here is good for architecture.

I am dissatisfied with the placements, but it is the best college regarding every other facilities.

Placements: There were no placements from the last 4 years for the civil & mechanical students. Only the textile branch had some placements. The college has no placement facility for the students, but the facility provided is good. Majority of the students study for the placements, so I recommend students not take admission in this college.

Not fully satisfied as there were almost no placements but infrastructure and facilities are fine

Placements: Placements for my batch and for my senior batch also were not good. Only very small companies, especially from Chandigarh, used to come at that time. Only 10-20 % students have been placed and after getting placed, they were not happy because of the job profile they got. I do not remember the highest salary but the average was 2.5 LPA that time. Some startups visited from Chandigarh while some came from NCR. Usually, IT companies came for selections and some companies like Sonalika came for mech...

Campus is good but requires a little bit more effort from students as well as the authority

Placements: The placement is good for other branches but less for civil engineering. The campus is too large and the faculty team is a little bit good but overall good experience. If I talk about civil engineering, there are too many options like JE SDO and other government job opportunities.

Good infrastructure, good faculty, but still, lacks in many things like placements

Placements: Placements in the year 2017 are far better than the placements that held in 2016. The training and placement cell team did show up some spirit and work harder this year. Hope they keep this up further. But still, only the 25-35% of the students were interested in placements. Rest all others are looking forward to other options. The average salary package is around 1.9 lakhs per annum and the highest salary package is 2.7 lakhs per annum. Mostly, those students who are picked by companies have be...

Not a good college if you are looking for placements.

Placements: The placements are pathetic. No placement happens in this college. The students have to get placed by themselves. If you are looking for just a B.Tech degree then this college is good. But if you really want good placements and have got a low rank, I'd recommend you to join another college or give the competition exam again.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty and placements.

Placements: There are almost no placements. Hardly 2 percent of student gets placed from this college. The highest package in computer science is around rupees 180000 annually and the minimum is around 120000 rupees. Only startups visit and they offer very low packages. Roles offered were testing or coding-related.

The worst government college

Placements: There are zero campus placements in the entire college and the college staff members are not supportive at all. Teachers are there to torture students mentally. No one puts an effort towards the placement of students. I have been in college for the past four years and not even a single student got placed anywhere because no company visited the campus. As the college is fully aided by the government, they are not interested in making the future of their students. However, only a textile topper ge...

GSZ is good for engineering students.

Placements: The placements of the college are not up to the mark. Our college provided the highest package of 5-6 lacs and the lowest package of 2-3 lac. Only some of the students were placed this year. Many students pass out from the college with a job in hand.

Satisfied with the placements in the college.

Placements: The placement and job opportunities in the college are very much likely as many of the students were placed every year. L&T, Practo, HCL, HDFC, etc came for placements. They offered a minimum of 2,50,000 and a maximum of 8,00,000. In internships, the minimum stipend offered is Rs 5000.

Giani Zail Singh College is a good college.

Placements: The placements of the college are not up to the mark. Some of the students were placed in this year in front of me. Our college provided the highest package of 5-6 lac and the lowest package of 2-3 lac. Only some of the students were placed this year. During placements, different types of companies come every year for the different courses offered.

GZSCET - The college has good faculty.

Placements: The placements are okay. It depends on the trade basically. Mechanical has good placements. Textiles engineering also has good companies to recruit. Electronics lags behind in placements. Electrical is again okay. Architecture has great placements and even the staff is highly competent.

One of the best government colleges but not placement-wise.

Placements: On-campus and off-campus placements were offered. A few companies like Walmart and Nestle amongst other local companies visited the campus. The highest package offered was 9 lakhs per annum by Trident to textile engineering students while the lowest was 1.2 lakhs per annum. 30-40% students were placed from our batch. No companies related to construction or civil engineering visited the campus.

Really good infrastructure but lack of placements.

Placements: There were least placements for our batch and the seniors as well. It's sad but true. The college administration should work on this so that the next batches getting recruited there don't suffer. No doubt, there isn't a lack of talented faculty and nice environment of studies in the college but somehow the placements are near to zero. Other branches do have the company recruitments but that too is only 2-3 students per batch. The highest package was around 1000k per annum. As far as the internsh...
