Review of our college from a GITAMITE.
Placements: As of the 2024 batch, 70% of our course was placed. The highest package was 17 Lacs from Amazon (as of what I heard). There might be students who got placed with even higher packages from our college. The least package was 3.5 Lacs per annum. The average package was 7-8 Lacs per annum.
Infrastructure: I am a computer science student, currently pursuing my 4th year at Gitam Hyderabad. We have a library which includes a digital library also, which is very beneficial for my course. We have computer labs, the best faculty to interact and clear our doubts. Food quality is good in the hostels. We have 3 canteens and 3-4 cafes at our college. They all provide high-quality food.
Faculty: Mostly every faculty member we have is holding a Ph.D. and they are all very experienced professors. A few faculty even help during internships and placements. They are really friendly professors. Semester examinations are slightly difficult, and the pass percentage is about 35%. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready.
Other: I am passionate about computer science. I like web development. So even before joining B. Tech, I started learning coding languages and I chose CSE. I don't think there is anything much needed which improves our course. We have many fests like Pramana which happens for 3 days. Similarly, there are other fests also.

Best college and good course.
Placements: The percentage of students placed in our course is 78%, as it is Gitam and reputedly known for best placements. The highest package our class students got is 19 LPA, and the lowest package offered is 5 LPA. The top recruiting companies from our course are HCL, Mindtree, and more. The internship opportunities from our course are the best.
Infrastructure: The facilities in the college are excellent; this college has exceptional infrastructure in terms of academic facilities. The modern architecture and well-maintained space create a conducive environment for academic growth. Regarding the girls' hostel, it provides the best food.
Faculty: The faculty demonstrate a high level of expertise and engaging teaching methodologies in class. Additionally, the well-structured exam system reflects the college's dedication to fair and comprehensive assessment. Overall, the college faculty is good, and examination practices significantly contribute to enriching the educational experience.

Satisfied because of knowledge it provides good placements if you read well.
Placements: Gitam usually provides placement training courses starting in the seventh semester. In the last batch, there were a good number of placements, with the highest package being 12 LPA and an average of 3.5 LPA. The companies that recruited the most students were TCS, Infosys, Accenture, and BYJUS. Many students got internships off campus, and some landed junior SDE roles or other entry-level positions.
Infrastructure: The classrooms have Wi-Fi, and every teacher uses a smartboard for teaching. The library is full of resources, and they maintain the campus infrastructure very well. The hostels have the same amenities as the classrooms, including Wi-Fi and smartboards. There is a dedicated medical room for students, and there are great facilities for playing sports, both indoors and outdoors.
Faculty: The faculty members are very helpful and highly qualified, and they use modern teaching techniques to help us understand the course material. The course curriculum is not perfect, but it does match industry standards. The semester exams are easy; if you study the day before the exam, you should be able to pass. The pass percentage is 35%.
Other: I chose this course because the college is near my home, and it has a nice environment where you can meet people with different backgrounds and learn more about your college. However, there are areas that need improvement. The backlog fee of Rs.10,000 per subject if you fail an exam should be reduced. On the plus side, the college offers scholarships to students who score well on the GAT entrance exam, with some students receiving up to 100% of their tuition covered. Finally, the college hosts several events throughout the year, including an annual fest and a teaching festival, so you don't need to worry about being bored.

My experience at GITAM Hyderabad .
Placements: We had a great experience in our placement program. We received really great training from our college through a third-party company. They provided us with a good platform to learn, practice, and test our skills. We also had offline training sessions for face-to-face interactions. Several companies came, like Accenture, Oracle, and EYGDS, etc.
Infrastructure: We have great infrastructure to learn, enjoy, and grow as a person. We have almost all facilities, and many of them are of the highest quality. All our classrooms are equipped with top-end projection and sound systems with pretty fast Wi-Fi speed. This helps us learn in a more reliable environment.
Faculty: Our examination system is student friendly. We don't have much pressure to clear the subjects because most of the marks are scored in internals. For us, 70 marks are internal, and 30 marks are for the semester-end exam. Out of 70, 30 are for attendance, 20 for quizzes, and 20 for assignments.
Other: I was very interested in computer science and wanted to pursue my undergraduate degree in it. I always wanted to stay with my parents for my undergraduate education and chose this college.

Placements department is not up to the mark.
Placements: Around 50-60% students were placed in good companies. Few fraud companies also visited the campus. Top Company was Accenture which hired only 20 students. No proper response is given by the management for raised concerns. The performance of the placements cell is poor. They must give better training to the students.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good but the food quality is not up to the mark. Medical facilities are not properly available. There must be grills placed for the parapet walls for students’ safety. Traffic security is rude. The canteen’s food quality is not good but they charge high. Food parcels in carry bags are not allowed on the canteen, we need to bring plates which becomes very difficult to handle.
Faculty: Faculty members are somewhat okay. Fee to clear the backlog exams is too high. The curriculum is too tough. Exam syllabus is tough with 9-10 subjects per semester. They purposely fail the students to extract backlog fees. No gaps are given between the exams. Few faculty members don't even explain properly.
Other: No.
