GLS University, Ahmedabad offers admission to its four-year bachelor's and five years integrated master’s programs at GLS Institute of Design through the GLS DAT entrance exam. The GLS Institute of Design DAT exam is conducted every year and may have one or more rounds of admission:

Candidates need to follow the below-mentioned steps to take part in the admission process for the GLS Institute of Design:

Step 1: Fill GLS Institute of Design DAT Application Form

Candidates can fill out the GLS DAT 2025 application form for the GLS Institute of Design DAT online. At the time of filling out the application form, the candidate has to enter genuine and verifiable information.

Step 2: Get GLS DAT Admit Card

The hall ticket for the GLS Institute of Design DAT is sent to candidates after they have duly filled out and submitted their application for the exam.

Step 3: Appear for GLS DAT

Aspirants need to appear for GLS Design Aptitude Test as per the schedule mentioned by the college. The DAT exam conducted by the GLS Institute of Design tests an aspirant’s understanding of drawing and observation power.

Step 4: Check Shortlisting- Stage 1 Merit List

Based on an aspirant’s performance in GLS DAT 2025, the college will release the names of shortlisted candidates.

Step 5: Appear for Interaction Round

Aspirants who have been shortlisted based on their performance in the GLS Institute of Design DAT will be called to take part in an interaction session. Based on the interaction round, aspirants will be shortlisted further for admission.

Step 6: Check GLS DAT Result

GLS Institute of Design results will be declared once the interaction round with candidates is over. The college will take into consideration an aspirant’s performance in both DAT and interview rounds while preparing the final merit list for admissions 2023. After the GLS Institute of Design DAT 2023 result is declared, aspirants will be issued offer letters for admission.

GLS DAT Eligibility Criteria 2025

Candidates meet GLS Institute of Design DAT 2025 eligibility criteria if they have cleared their Higher Secondary (10+2) from State Board/CBSE/CISCE/IB or equivalent.

GLS DAT Admission Process 2025

Candidates need to ensure that they fill out the form. Candidates need to fulfill GLS DAT eligibility criteria, clear the design aptitude test, and thereafter take part in the interview round to get admission to GLS Institute of Design, Ahmedabad. Further, candidates can go through the steps they need to follow as part of the GLS DAT selection process.

Step 1: GLS DAT Application Form

The application form for GLS DAT is to be filled in two steps. Firstly, aspirants have to collect the form from the institute or the official centers. They should fill out the form diligently and attach the required documents. Next, candidates have to pay GLS DAT application fee, which is INR 2,000. 

Step 2: GLS DAT Exam

Candidates will have to appear for the entrance test as per schedule. Selected candidates will be called for interaction at the GLS campus.

Step 3: GLS DAT Shortlisting and Selection

The final shortlisting will be done based on the entrance test and interaction. Thereafter, offer letters will be issued to the selected candidates.

The exam pattern of GLS Institute of Design DAT exam is designed to focus on the drawing skills and knowledge of the candidates. The questions asked in GLS DAT 2025 will evaluate the performance of candidate on the following parameters:

• Observation power
• Utilisation of form
• Colour
• Shapes
• Innovative ways to describe objects/environment
• Innovation/imagination
• Drawing skills
• Proportion sense

GLS exam admit card will be issued once the registration process ends. The admit card is a mandatory document that a registered student must produce at the time of GLS DAT exam. Aspirants are informed that the admit card would be issued to only those candidates who have duly filled and submitted their application forms. Candidates are informed that they need to paste their recent passport size photograph on their admit card. Candidates are informed that they would be allowed to enter the test centre for the design entrance exam only if they are carrying a valid GLS Institute of Design DAT admit card on the day of the exam. Apart from this, candidates need to ensure that their exam ticket is duly filled and contains their photograph and institutional seal.

The  GLS Institute of Design will declare the results of GLS DAT 2025 within a few days of the conduct of the exam. The results will be announced online at the admission portal of the institute.

To check GLS DAT 2025 results, the candidate needs to log in to the result portal using their candidate credentials.

The result would include details like the name, roll number, sectional and total marks, merit rank, and the qualifying status of the candidate.

Candidates who qualify in the entrance exam will be shortlisted for GLS DAT 2025 counseling and seat allotment.

Note that the allotment of seats will be as per the merit rank of the candidate in GLS DAT 2025 exam.
