Satisfied with the college, but it could have been better.

Placements: The placements in the college were okay for our batch. The placement percentage of our batch was less compared to our senior batch. Nearly, 10 companies visited the college for placements. Generally, on an average, reputed companies hire 1-2 students, and the smaller ones hire 4-5 students. The highest salary package offered was 12 LPA, the lowest package offered was 1.5 LPA, and the average offered was in between 3.5 LPA to 4 LPA. Generally, roles such as associate software engineers and associ...

Most sought out college, yet poor placements.

Placements: When it comes to placements in my branch, only 5 to 6 students got placed in the campus placements. Mostly, IT sector companies visit the campus for placements, and some were of electronics background. Similar conditions were present during the last few years. However, our head of department and placement officers are trying their best to improve placement figures every year. The highest salary that was offered for my batch was around five lacs per annum, and the average was 2.5 LPA. Companies l...

Average faculty. Low fees. Good infrastructure. Average placement.

Placements: The placements were good. Most IT companies visit the campus and offer package of around 4 Lacs per annum. The number of companies in electronics area were less. One of the companies visiting the campus is sankalp semiconductors. They offered core electronics job role. There are no internship opportunities at campus.

Satisfied by the efficiency and dedication of staff, but somehow dissatisfied by the clean.

Placements: The placements are good on the campus. Many IT companies visit the campus for the placements. There have been lots of placements in recent years in the streams of mechanical, ENE, computer, IT, etc. The well-reputed companies visit the campus for the placements to recruit the students. Last year, the number of placements for IT branch was the highest.

A good college marred by some incompetent syllabus, teachers and a sub par infrastructure.

Placements: I'm still in 2nd year so I haven't been placed yet. A very small number of students, about just 25% from the final year have been placed from my department. In departments like IT, etc. And COMP, the placement percentage is above 75%. The salary varies from about Rs15, 000 per month to the highest recorded at Rs50,000 per month. Companies visiting are: cognizant, Mahindra, infotech, vedanta, sea, Crompton, wipro, Siemens, Tata etc. Our colleges emphasizes on the need for internship so the perce...

Worth joining the college.

Placements: The placements of my batch were better compared to my senior's batch. Because of demonetization, the companies hired only a few people in my senior's batch. Totally, 20 job offers were provided to my batch. Many people have got two job offers, so the actual number of students placed was 16 out of 70 students. The highest package offered was 8 lacs per year, but now that the companies have gone in a loss, so they may come from this year. The second highest package offered was 4.2 lacs per year. T...

The teachers are qualified and also the non teaching faculty is very helpful.

Placements: The placements of some branches like etc., COMPUTER, INFORMATION TECHNOLOGY, is good. In electrical the placements are very less. This college is having the best and most no of placements in Goa. 11 and 13 students were placed successfully in 2016 and 2017 respectively.

There are no good placements. One of the best colleges in Goa. The college fee is very less.

Placements: The placements are not very great in this college. Hardly 20% were placed. The highest package offered was 5 LPA. Average package offered was 3 LPA. The lowest was 2.5. Very few companies like Infosys, Tech Mahindra, persistent systems came for the placements. There were no placements for branches other than IT, computer science and electronics.

Proud of the recent performance by students and college management to improve the status.

Placements: The dipped graphs were at a peak during my time. A major chunk of students was interviewed by the IT-sector, and a decent number of students found their big corporate jobs. At least 70% of the placement looked a better figure than the previous years below 50% score. The internships are mandatory. Early exposure to 100% of the placement lot makes it easier to face the upcoming challenges.

Good infrastructure and amazing faculty. I don't regret a bit by joining this college.

Placements: You can get a placement if you can cross the cutoff limits given by the companies. Most of the companies ask for 60% as average marks without any backlogs for placements. But it is hard to get good marks in this college. The packages offered were not high, but once you get into an organization, the increments are quite good.

Goa College of Engineering is good.

Placements: Placements are given to many students as long as their percentage is maintained. Many companies like SESA and Vedanta come to give opportunities to students. Internships in different mining companies are given, mostly in Karnataka. The average salary offered is around 3 lakhs. Many students can get internships which are offered by the college.

Goa College of Engineering is okay

Placements: Placements are generally given by Infosys and TCS. Around 60 percent of people get placed every year. Internships aren't provided by the college. Students have to go on their own to different companies in order to get internships. The average salary given is around 2 lakhs. A new recent company IVP has given a package of 8 lakhs.

Worth for money. Low fees, great infrastructure.

Placements: The overall placements are quite average. Now, with NIT and IIT in the same campus, it's getting tougher. The average CTC offered is Rs. 2.5 LPA and the maximum is around Rs. 7-8 LPA. The companies vary year to year with a few assured in the list of those who hire in bulk. One can expect to sit in the placements drive if with 6+ GPA.

Best engineering college in Goa.

Placements: Placement in this college just depends on your grades. To be eligible for placements, you need to get aggregate 60% and above. Obviously for good companies, you need a higher percentage. For CSE and EXTC, lots of companies visit our campus. So if you have 60%, you are easily placed in any company. But for other branches like mechanical, IT and civil, you really need to get better grades, at least more than 70%.

I really had a memorable journey of my college. We had great workshops and great seminars related to entrepreneurship and management. There was an electrifying spark of unity among students which is there currently also. The institution is run by the government so we did not have the burden of the fee.

One of the best engineering colleges. It has a huge campus, as it is a government college fees is quite less and manageable for middle class families to roll in their budding son/daughter into high tech engineering college. You have every basic thing from scratch to learn unless you want to and if you don't than yes you enjoy a lot. Coming to placements most IT company visits our campus with an average package 3.5 lpa.
