SD College Chandigarh Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,Chandigarh

Placements: The placements are always good for the students of GGDSD college. The companies come and select the students for the vacancies they have. The highest salary offered for a B.A. student was Rs. 20,000 per month. Around 75-80% got internships from our college. The placement cell is always required for a student, and that's why this college is an appropriate institute.

Placements: PGDMM placements need to be improved. There are no campus placements. Off-campus placements can fetch you 3 LPA to 4 LPA of an average package which can gradually be improved as you go ahead in your career. Also, the graduation course will impact your placements, like BBA and B.Com will fetch you better placements here.

Placements: The placements in GGDSD are great. Top notch companies and MNCs from India are a part of placement drive at the college every year. Most of the graduate aspirants either find work by themselves or get selected in companies like KPMG, E&Y, Godrej, and Deloitte. Others end up pursuing their Masters.

Placements: The placements are average. This year companies like EY, L&T, Tech Mahindra participated in the recruitment process offering an average salary of 2 LPA-3 LPA. The placements were better than those for the 2017 pass out batch. The college has a placement cell is working actively in bringing more companies to the campus. In fact, it is the only commerce college in Chandigarh that has satisfactory campus placements.

Placements: B.Sc (non-medical) is not a technical degree. So, don't expect any campus placement. Also, no college faculty encourages to go for jobs based on only B.Sc. Commerce students who are studying B.Com and M.Com can expect campus placement. But it is not for B.Sc or any other degree.

Placements: The placement rate in the college is high. More than 70% of the students have been placed in good companies in good posts. The placements are usually more competitive for B.Com students. The teachers are helpful, and they also guide in resume making and tips for successful interview.

Placements: I haven't completed my degree yet. But as for my seniors. Most of them started some start ups and they are doing good. And some have opted for Masters in our college only. As for the placements I know one or two students who have been placed in very big companies with good packages too. And some seniors have flied to abroad for their further studies.

Placements: The placements went well for the seniors with EY on the campus. For my batch, we only had a couple of startup's and coaching institutes coming for placements. The students have great potential, and the placements committee should work in improving the scenario on the campus.

Being a B.Com student, I didn't get any placement, but then few students had got a good one. Seniors are helpful and highest salary was Rs. 70,000 per month and the lowest being Rs. 30,000 per month.

Placements: The placements for my batch is not good because non of the company visited the campus. But as a whole, the placement committee is quite good, and the average package is Rs. 2.5 LPA for the Bachelors. All kind of roles is also provided to the students. Placements: Recently Infosys and other big companies visited our college for campus recruitment and they had taken the interviews at a high level. Numerous students were selected through campus recruitment last year. The highest salary was 20 LPA and the role was of management department head.

Placements: I haven't seen people getting offered good placements post their graduation. Most students take it as a stepping stone for the higher education. Most of the students focus more on CA while pursuing B.Com. I haven't seen much of internships being offered it's all students initiative. Placements are about average for the course. Till now I haven't seen good companies like Google, Microsoft or Facebook as average companies come here generally providing placement ranging from Rs. 10,000 to Rs. 50,00...

Placements: Placements were pretty good. Many of my batch mates got into E&Y and other good companies. Almost everyone got jobs who participated in the placement programme. Basic salary offered to them was Rs. 20,000 per month and now they must be getting around Rs. 30,000 per month to Rs. 35,000 per month. There is a placement cell in our college.

Placements: Placements of GGDS college is always very nice. Students of my stream as well as other streams are placed in good companies like American express and such. B.Com students have large opportunities in the future. There are at least 30% students who got placed here. The highest salary offered was Rs. 25,000 per month. Also, few students got an internship here. There is also no placement cell here.

Placements: The placements for B.Com are considered the best in SD college. However, there is still a lag in placements and needs to be addressed. When I completed my B.Com (Hons), a decent number of students were placed with companies like Ernst and Young with a decent package rest opted out or wanted to go for higher studies than a job.

Placements: Google is the best company which comes to this college. They came for Adsense & Adwords manager. It was an awesome experience while we gave the written test and then the interview. They gave an initial package of 4.2 LPA. Other companies which come here are normal BPOs.

Placements: The placements in the college are good for B.Com, BBA, and other departments, but only a few opportunities for B.Sc. I hope they will improve the placements in future. The college is trying to improve the placements, and with time surely it will get better and I am sure students will grab big opportunities in the future.

Placements: The college is very good to study commerce, and the students can get good placements. The person who studies commerce in this college gets an added advantage to their resume. The course is valuable irrespective of the bachelor's or Master's degree.

Placements: There were quite a few placements, but the salary they entitled were very low. Also, most companies asked for a 2-3 year bond. So, students were not satisfied with the kind of placements. Mostly, students opted for higher studies like MCA or MBA. Others just went with whatever was offered to them.

Placements: The placement of the batch is good as 25% of the total students are placed which is very much high than last year. The companies Wipro and Samsung visited the college. I must say the placement opportunities in the college are growing every day. The college has a placement cell for training the students. The students were placed in various categories according to the need and formulation of the companies.
