It has good enough placements and an enjoyable campus life. I recommend it.

It is one of the best government institutes in Kolkata.

Placements: About 70% of students placed in our college. The highest package was 13 LPA and the lowest package was 2.4 LPA. The average package was 6.25 LPA. Top recruiting companies are upGrad, Lexmark, Infosys, TCS, Cognizant, Siemens Digital Industries Software, etc. About 45% to 50% of students got internships from CLRI Kolkata. The top role offered in our course is software engineer.

Our college is value for money.

Placements: At our college, most students get placement, but some have to try off-campus. The salary packages offered for our course are as follows: The highest salary package is 32 LPA and the lowest salary package is around 3 to 4 LPA. Companies that visit our college for placements are TCS, Infosys, and Wipro. They normally take a good number of students. I'd prefer off-campus. Most students go for GATE qualifications and pursue M.Tech.

It is an average government college for your Bachelor's engineering degree.

Placements: About 75% of the students from our college will be placed in top multinational companies like TCS, Infosys, Wipro, Cognizant, etc. The salary packages that were offered for our course ranged from 3 LPA to 15 LPA. Most works as software engineers, full-stack developers, web developers, software testers, etc., and most of them have some experience as interns at some company.

It provides good faculty members. Placements are depending upon students' skill.

Placements: Placements of students are good. It depends upon the amount of hard work and rigour of consistency, students are able to put on their professional skills along with their academic excellence. Teachers are helpful, and the internships depend upon the student. Teachers are always there to guide for projects and internships. Students do internships at IITs, ISI, CMI, IISc, TIFRs, and also in corporate fields which I am more into academics.

Placements: Above 80% of the students get placements from our college. The highest salary package offered is 7 LPA. The lowest salary package offered is 1 LPA, but it differs from batch to batch in our college. Above 90% of the students get internships from our course. Teachers give us great training in our course. So, our college has a reputation that many of the students qualify in GATE exam in the running year.

I am satisfied because of good placements, and I got placed in VIP Industries Pvt Ltd in 2020.

Placements: Leather technology is a unique stream, and this stream capacity is 30 students, so the maximum number of students are placed in any leather company. Almost 80% of the students were placed. The highest salary offered is Rs. 30,000 per month, the lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month and the average salary offered is Rs. 15,000 per month. It is a decent government college.

Placements: Overall placements in the college were average. Don't expect 100% placements here. It is a small college. Hence if you are studying CSE or IT, you would most likely be invited for pool campusing. For leather technology, you would get a decent amount of opportunities. The college is trying to work on this front.

A college which propels education

Placements: During our 4th year placements were quite good, and around 60% of students got placed in IT sector companies like Wipro, TCS and CTS. However, one cannot expect more than this, and it can be sure to say that companies like Microsoft, Facebook, Oracle, Delloite and Amazon will not visit our college for recruitment.

It is the value for money experience because of all the aspects.

Placements: In 2016, the placement scenario was awful. Only 25% of the batch of our stream got placed, and that too, they were not offered decent packages. The highest package offered was 3 LPA. Tata International Limited, Drish Shoes and VIP Industries were the only three companies that visited for on-campus placements. They took 6 students in total out of 40 students of our batch, and the rest are left to deal on their own. Internships were too good for us as during the industrial training, we were barely...

Average college. Good ROI. Join if you are confident enough of your own skills.

Placements: Placements are average. Every year one or two mass recruiter like Wipro or Tech Mahindra comes where getting placed is not that difficult. But once someone miss those, its difficult to get placed. Its very much dependent on luck. Communication skills and basic aptitude skills need to be decent.

I feel really proud of being a GCELTian. And it's really a great experience of being here for 4 yea.

Placements: 90% students got a job from our senior batch. And other 10% went for M.Tech or MBA. All those 90% students get their job by off or on campusing. There are 100% placement of leather technology and above 75% CSE It students get their job on campusing.

Plenty of freedom but not good placements.

Placements: If you choose GCELT for CSE/IT then don't hope for very good placements. Wipro is the only mass recruiter here but since few years it has stopped recruiting in masses. Oracle finance visits the college and the intake depends upon the performance. It would be great if some one GET placed in it rather than IT companies like TCS/Wipro, as this is the average the highest paying company (6 LPA) which visits the campus. This year 4 students were placed in Oracle finance and 8 in Wipro. Apart from thes...

Overall a very good experience.

Placements: First of all I am from the 2012 pass out batch. During our tenure, Cognizant was the first company who did the campus recruitment followed by Capgemini. There are several other companies as well who made their footsteps. Cognizant made the bulk recruitment and I was among one of those lucky folks who got placed.

Placements: The placements are good. Every year a lot of companies visit. The teaching staff is excellent. Some companies like Web skeeters, Ockla, TCS, etc. It's a government college and we process healthy students.
