A very wonderful college to study in and nurture the better of you.

Placements: The placements for batch 2012-2016 was one of the best placements anybody would recall in the history of GCELT campus recruitment. Because of the IT industry is not in its best phase in Bengal in the years preceding our batch, the campus placements that took place earlier was meek, but for the fees, the college charges and the faculty it has you cannot ask for more with that. Talking about the placement in figures, ours was a batch of approximately 120 students. The strength of the students bein...

This college provides poor placements. TPO provided is very bad.

Placements: The placement is too much poor. No college campus is offered. Only pool campus is offered. TPO provided is very bad. The average salary offered is Rs. 22,000. There is some pool campus of Oracle, Wipro, Capgemini, TCS, Juspay, etc. The college doesn't offer any internships for the students, but some of the students go for the internship with their own connection.

Satisfied with the love, respect, education, job offers and most importantly ambiance.

Placements: I passed in 2014 and the placement was not that good that year, but in 2013, it was very good. The highest package offered is around Rs. 3 LPA and the lowest package is around Rs. 1.5 LPA. The companies that visited are Tata Chemicals, Chika, BASF, STHAL, Capejimini (IT), CTS (all departments) and many small tanneries and chemical companies. Roles offered were the engineer, sales engineer (B2B), lab assistant. 100% students got the internship offer. If you are lucky, then you will be paid.

I am Barum from GCELT, that's the reason I recommend to most of the students.

Placements: Our senior batch students have got placed at Wipro, TCS, CTS. Some of the lather technology students got the technology-based company through GATE. In this college, most of the students are preparing for the government job. Approximately, 40% the of students are placed through the college placement. The highest salary was 16.2 lakes per year, and the lowest salary was 18K per month. Most of the students are posted the higher positions. The roles for the CSE students is a software engineer, and f...

Join the college if you want to learn and build something on your own.

Placements: The students are not too happy about the scenario. Out of 60 students, only 10 students got placed. The highest salary of Rs. 6 lakhs per annum was offered by Oracle, and the minimum salary was Rs. 2.8 offered by Wipro. Apart from that, TCS visited the college. QA and Software Development were the two areas in which hiring was prevalent. Students, unfortunately, do not get internships arranged by the college. However, the college would go to any extent to help a student with any number of recomm...

GCELT- To join or not to join?

Placements: The college provides ample opportunities, however, it depends on the market scenario. Most of the deserving students get placed and many of them have more than two offers. Most MNCs visit the college. Some students remain unplaced due to a lack of communication skills and poor academic background. The placement session usually lasts for 4-7 months.

Relieves from the burden of hefty fees but expect average placement and facilities.

Placements: Ours is a government engineering college but the placement is still average. Around 60-75% students get placed. The recruiters are companies like Cognizant, Wipro, Infosys, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra, etc. If you are lucky, you can get placed in the renowned companies like IBM, Adobe, Oracle, etc. However, only 3 to 5 people from the entire batch will get placed in such companies. In case you are wondering, there will be no Google, Microsoft, Facebook - the giants, as recruiters. ...

The College that made me what I am!

Placements: Last year, the placements were better than most years (a staggering 90%) and it is expected to get better with the passing years. With my chat with senior students, I came to know that none of the students from our college has ever been jobless. Over the years, they have bagged a job in off-campus interviews. As a budding engineer, I can assure you that a job is waiting for you if you have the knowledge and talent. Highest Package was around 6 lakhs. The companies included Oracle, Wipro, and Cog...

Probably the best government engineering college under MAKAUT (WBUT).

Placements: When I joined my college, the placements were not good at all. I was advised by our registrar to prepare for GATE as there was little chance of getting placed. But in the last couple years, the placements have improved significantly. Students from our college have got placed in good companies like Oracle, TCS, CTS, Infosys, Wipro etc.

Classes at GCELT are interactive with a mix of lectures, case studies and presentations. Internal and external exams get equal weightage. Tests are conducted regularly. No handouts are given to students but most teachers share their presentations. Also, the campus is very good.

This is a government college, so placements are decent.

Placements: It's a government college, and not many companies come here. It's a kind of disappointment. Only a few companies like 4-5 companies, came here. They hired 2-3 students only. Packages were good, ranging from 3 LPA - 8 LPA. A few students got internships.
