This is my honest review of my college, Coochbehar Government Engineering College.

Placements: The placement rate of our college is a maximum of 80 to 90%. While the majority of students secure jobs, the quality of placement can vary significantly across branches. The college attracts plenty of companies for recruitment annually, including Amazon, Microsoft, Google, Wipro, etc. The average package offered is around 6 to 7 LPA, while the highest package has gone up to 15 LPA. Most offers are in the range of 3 to 5 LPA. 90% of students got internships from our college, and the companies are...

L&T, Cognizant, Adani, IBM, Flipkart recruit our college students. 58 percent of students got internships from my course. They got internships in IBM, Flipkart, Indian Railway, PWD. CGEC review by 2024 batch (CSE).

Placements: The college is very poor if you consider on-campus placement. In 2024, not a single company visited our campus. But many students get placed off-campus. The highest package in our batch was 9 LPA, and the average was 3-4 LPA. 10-15 students got off-campus placement out of 62 students.

I had an incredible experience at Coochbehar Government Engineering College.

Placements: 90% students were placed in our college. The highest package offered in our college was 10 LPA. The lowest package offered in our college was 4 LPA, and the average package offered in our college was 5 to 7 LPA. There were many types of companies recruiting in our college, i.e., L&T, Lumex, Jai Balaji, etc. A maximum of 95% students got internships from our college, and they got internships in IISCON, Internshala, etc. The top roles offered in our college were field engineer, maintenance, etc.

The college is not very bad but it will be very good if some needs are met.

Placements: Placement here is very bad, placement is very less, few people got placement. Their average package is 4 LPA. No internship is given by the college, everyone does an internship on their own. Everyone from our department works in IT, many with off-campus jobs.

Average faculty members, Placements are below average, lacking improvements.

Placements: Placements vary every year. Like 20-30% of Core branches (including mine: EE) get placed on-campus, and the rest of the Non-Core branches get around 40-45% from on-campus placements. Top recruiting companies for Core are L&T, TEECL, offering Graduate Engineer Trainee roles. The highest package in Core is around 6-7 LPA, and the lowest is around 3 LPA. Most students in Core go for training from every Core branch; rarely do they go for internships in companies like TATA Power. The top role in my c...

My college is the best!

Placements: In my course, 100% of students are placed. The highest package is 11 LPA and 3 LPA is the lowest. Microsoft is the high recruiting company. 100% got internships in Tata company. Senior semiconductor industry manager roles are offered in my course. Many of our seniors are working in the US.

CGEC: Best college of North Bengal

Placements: Overall placement at CGEC is good. Many reputed companies like TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, and Byju's recruited many senior students at my college. In some years, 80% of students got placed in high-demand branches like ECE and CSE, where students got the highest placement.

Cooch Behar Government Engineering College (CGEC) is a prominent public technical.

Placements: The college has made efforts in improving its placement record, with companies from various sectors like IT, core engineering, and manufacturing visiting the campus. However, the placement numbers are not as high as those of more established institutions. While many students are placed in decent roles, there is room for improvement in terms of industry partnerships and overall placement support.

An Honest and Gentle Review of CGEC.

Placements: Students are eligible for campus placement from the very beginning of the third year. Many MNCs do visit, like Amazon, TCS, Wipro, Capgemini, Cognizant, Deloitte, Accenture, L&T, etc. The highest package was 18 LPA, and the average package is around 7 LPA. Mostly 60 to 70% of students get placed by the end of their term. My personal plan after getting my degree is to complete my Master's further.

Solid education with good placements, but the curriculum needs more industry focus.

Placements: Around 60-70% of students in CSE at Cooch Behar Government Engineering College are placed. The highest package is ₹10 LPA, the lowest is ₹3 LPA, and the average is ₹4-5 LPA. Top recruiters include TCS, Wipro, and Infosys. About 30-40% secure internships, mainly in IT firms. Top roles include Software Developer and Data Analyst.

Perfect college in West Bengal.

Placements: Top companies like Cognizent, Teachnook, and L&T come to our college for recruiting. Their average salary offer is around 5 LPA, with the highest being 12 LPA and the lowest being 2.1 LPA. Our college has a very hard-working Training and Placement Office (TPO) that helps students get jobs. Every year, around 80% of our students get jobs on campus.

Our college needs support from the government for faculty, lab instruments, hostel opening, etc.

Placements: Our college is a government-funded college, so if I compare it with other government colleges, the placement rate is very low. The college needs to improve in terms of placements. Every student needs good internship support from the college. Very few students are placed.

CGEC: An honest college review.

Placements: The placements are not up to the mark with roughly about10% students getting placed from the college campus. The highest package offered is 21 Lacs per annum (as told by one of my senior) and average package is 3.5 lacs per annum. Most of the companies are IT based companies, no core companies visit for campus interviews. Internships are available.

CGEC: a hub of learning and experience.

Placements: Coochbehar Government Engineering College is good in academics but the placement rate is not so good. Every year, almost 250 students pass, but a maximum 20 students are placed in placement. Due to the lack of importance given to the responsible officer, more than 85% of students do not have a job.

A Raising Institute - CGEC.

Placements: Placement-wise, CGEC is decent because it is a new college (founded in 2016). Many companies like TCS, Wipro, Cognizant, Infosys, etc., are the main recruiters for on-campus placements. Placement for non-core branches like ECE and CSE are getting higher packages, but placement for core branches is not as good compared to non-core branches. However, the placement for 2024 is poor, with only a few students getting placed in good companies and securing decent packages. Some students are studying fo...
