Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology, Serampore Reviews on Placements, Faculty & Facilities ,

Placements: Not more than 60% of students from our batch of CSE are placed in IT companies. Placements are mostly conducted in an off-campus mode. We were informed about various placement activities in other colleges where we would go there and appear in those placements. The only on-campus placement drive arranged here was for Tech Mahindra.

Placements: Around 50% of students got placed from information technology stream in the college. The packages range between 3 LPA to 10 LPA. The companies which recruit the most are TCS, Wipro, and Infosys. Different start-ups and other companies provide placements. Around 50% of students got internships in different companies in different roles.

Placements: Around 70% of students in our course got placed on the campus. From the last 4 years, every student gets placed. The lowest salary offered is 3.5 LPA, and the highest salary offered is 7.5 LPA. Companies like Adobe, Wipro, Infosys, TCS, etc., visit our campus for placements. The college does not provide an internship opportunity for students. One has to do an internship on their own capability. The college provides 100% placements in textile and APM on campus.

Foremost thing about this college is that it is a Government College which is 107 years old which reserves all its heritage on its own. Earlier, it was only known for being Textile College but after the year 2000, Government have introduced IT and CSE department in this college.
