It is good for textile engineering. It is the best college of West Bengal for textile technology.

Placements: Placements in the Government College of Engineering and Textile Technology are pretty good for textile apparel branch students. Almost all students in this branch are placed through on-campus placement. It provides pretty good internships for students.

Good college location, average infrastructure with good teachers.

Placements: Placement is very good for APM and TT branches with almost 100% placement, but for IT and CSE, it is worse. Good average government college with fewer feels. Recently, there was a placement in Aditya Birla, Raymond, and many valuable companies for the Textile department.

Placements are not good this year. Overall, it is an average government college in Serampore.

Placements: Currently, because of the recession ongoing, the placements scenario is not so good. Placements are not good due to the recession. Only 50% of students got placed as of now till March in Computer Science and Information Technology Department (which is my department). The highest package offered has been around 10 LPA in textile and computer science department. The lowest salary package offered is of 3 LPA and the average salary package offered is 4 LPA. To sum up, I am very much satisfied with my college faculty, infrastructure, facilities, etc.

Placements: Actually, the placement of the colleges depends neither on the College Tag, nor on the Tier of the college, it only depends on the skills of the students graduating from that college. So, if you are determined and capable enough to be able to boost your skills to the level required by the top tech giants (FAANG), you can get the go out of it. Now, if you wanna know the current placement trends in our college, then I must say, its Average. Students in the departments of Computer Science and Engin...

It is an average college with below average infrastructure but is undergoing renovation recently.

Placements: Seats are available for 40 students. Maximum students get placed through off-campus placements or go for GATE or CAT. TCS, Wipro and start-up companies visit the college to offer placements. A known guy got placed in TCS, Chennai, for the internship programme through CodeVita. Most of the students graduate without a job in our department, so it's recommended not to depend on college for jobs.

A college of hope for those who can't afford big colleges.

Placements: This college has some very good placement percentage when it comes to textile that is almost 100% but when we move towards technical branches like CSE and IT the placement percentage falls drastically to 60-70% (majorly due to the unavailability of internships and exposure to industry). Major recruiters are TCS, Wipro, Infosys And Oracle (which recruits very few students like 1 or 2 and some times even none). The highest package oncampus ranges about 8-10lpa and average package 4-5 lpa for CSE &...

The infrastructure is good, and the fee is minimal.

Placements: Placement scenario is not good in our department, i.e., CSE or IT. Companies like Oracle, TCS, Wipro, and Voltas, etc. visit our college almost every year. But the percentage of students getting placed is not that high. If you pursue APM or TT from this college, you will get placed for sure. There are students in APM and TT who get more than one jobs before the completion of their course.

The college has best infrastructure and highly qualified faculty.

Placements: There is a pool campusing for the CSE, but for the textile stream, the placement is too good. Since I joined the college, many students joined for the job, and all of them were my seniors. The most of the companies offered 2.5 lakhs per annum, and the position they offered to the student is operator or designer or programmer or software engineer etc.

Satisfied only because of hostel and as it is a government college.

Placements: I will rate placement as 7 out of 10. The placement was 60-70% that year and the previous year too. The highest salary was 3 lacs and the lowest was 2.5 lacs. Wipro, Capgemini, Tech Mahindra and Wipro visited our college and others as pool campus placements. They offered the role of Assistant Software Engineer. There were no students getting the internship from my college.

Review of G.C.E.T.T Berhampore, West Bengal

Placements: This year the placements were amazing. Although every placement was pooled and some other government colleges attended it too, the opportunities were amazing this year compared to last. Companies like Wipro, Adobe, Softronic, Fusioncharts, etc. came to recruit. Adobe was one of the highest payers with 22 lakhs per annum worth of salary, for female candidates only.

GCETTS - a good engineering college.

Placements: In 2015, 30 out of 30 students got placed in many companies like Oracle, Raymond, Reliance, BSNL, etc. In case of CSE, placement is entirely headache free. Only four branches are there such as CSE, IT, TT, APM. M.Tech is also done here in case of TT and APM. The average salary started from 20000 to 50000 per month.

GCETTS is a really decent college in West Bengal which is definitely worth the money you are paying.

Placements: So I am yet to pass out, but apparently companies are coming from this year; about 60% of students in CSE and IT got placed this year, and with an average package of 6-7 LPA with companies like TCS and Infosys coming in here. The placement scenario of textile technology depth. Has always been good. The highest package there this year was 20 LPA, and the average was around 10 LPA, and expect very few students, the majority got placed.

One of the best colleges for textile technology.

Placements: Top companies for textile technology, such as Trident, Raymond, Aditya Birla, Shahi, and Welspun, are actively recruiting. Approximately 80–90% of APM and TT students secure placements. The minimum package is 2.5 LPA, while the highest package reaches 14 LPA, with an average package of 5–6 LPA. In the 6th semester, many students secure internships.
