Small insights of government engineering college, Gandhinagar.

Placements: Companies like Einfochip, TCS, GNFC come to the college for placements. From my batch, one student got placed in GNFC. One student from senior batch got placed in Einfochips. The average salary offered to students is 2.5 LPA. Most of the companies offer engineering trainee post to the students. The internship is not compulsory, and it is optional for a student. But it is necessary to get corporate experience or to get some insight. Students have done internships mostly from their personal contac...

One of the top colleges in Gujarat for engineering.

Placements: The placements were good for our seniors batch. Almost, 11 out of 60 students got placed. The highest salery offer is 3.5 lacs per annum. The companies like Essar and Steelcast visited our college. Almost, every student will get the internship. Also, the placement cell is available for the students. In the interviews, there were no eligibility criteria then all the students can give the exam of the interview. After passing the exam, there was GD and the interview round, but there was no problem ...

Overall, it is good for the students who are really interested in education.

Placements: There are average placements for all the streams of engineering, but the faculty are good as compared to the others and help the students to get a job. So, if anyone wants free and good education, then this is the best college. You can visit the college once and plan accordingly.

Some companies related to management field also come for placements.

It is a good college but placements are a little bit less.

Placements: The placement at our college for instrumentation and control branch is not much satisfying. The placement percentage is around 50 to 60% only. The average salary is around Rs. 3 lakhs per annum. Our college provides very fewer Internships. Some popular companies like L&T, Infosys, TCS, etc., have visited our college.

I don't wish to say more about faculty. Placements are good in past years

Placements: Approximately 40% students are placed. Many companies visited our college campus. The highest salary is approximately 4 lacs/year and the minimum is approximately 1.5 lacs/year offered. Many students got the internship in big companies like L&T, Essar, Tata, Jindal, etc. Most of the students were offered a trainee engineer post at each company.

Our college had high-speed internet with unlimited.

Placements: The placements offered were good but less. Two to three companies with the minimum Rs. 20,000 per annum salary, above 7.00 PSI students can join in placement which held by two or three companies with good salary package. And given a good response by the companies. Now as you know all engineers have to be qualified for the jobs, so the placement of the students depends on the student skills.

Government Engineering College of Gandhinagar can be called good.

Placements: A very good opportunity for engineering students. In our college, big companies like Yokogawa, Nissan, etc. come for placement interviews. It is a huge opportunity for the students to get a good package but limited students can apply as per CGPA criteria. No backlogs should be there for placement.

I feel proud to be a part of GEC-Gandhinagar.

Placements: A good placement system is provided to the last year students. Many of the companies have been invited to the placement process which gave an opportunity to all students to take place in a good and their respective company. Through this placement cell number of companies are invited to take part in a placement cell, and it helps to provide a job in a number of fields.

Awesome memories of college life at Government Engineering College, Gandhinagar

Placements: No placements were started at that time. But nowadays, the placement cell is very active and around 35-40 students get placed. The salary offered is average and local companies have visited more than MNCs. They offered roles like QA and developers. Some also offered a role in R&D departments. I am not sure about the stipend.

Good infrastructure and faculty but poor placement.

Placements: Placements should not be on your mind if you come to this college. Very few students were placed, approximately 10-15 out of 120. Even out of these, only 3/4 were placed in a good company like Wipro or TCS. Rest were placed in local engineering firms with a salary of around rupees 7k-12k. Others had to find a job on their own. Most of them got a job within 6 months. Internships are not an integral part of the curriculum. Very few students got training in Gujarat electricity board, and a few oth...
