Absolutely satisfied with the faculty, good placement in 2023, and good infrastructure facilities.
Placements: In our department in the year 2023, all students who were eligible for placement received job offers from different companies. The highest package offered was 12 LPA, the lowest was 3.5 LPA, and the average salary package was 4.5 LPA. Top recruiting companies are L&T, TCS, Infosys, etc.
Infrastructure: The facility for our department is much greater than that of other departments. We have the main block building, which contains different labs and so many classrooms, but in our college, ECE didn't have any departments, so their students are sitting in our department block, which is not good for ECE students.
Faculty: Especially the faculty of our department is very fantastic and excellent; most of them graduated from top institutions from inside and outside of India. This course makes students industry-ready, but the companies must give these students a 6-month training program to help them understand the industry.
Other: I chose this course because of my craziness to study these tough subjects like mechanics of fluids, solids, thermal engineering, thermodynamics, etc.

The faculty was good and placements are good every year.
Placements: In my college, about 70% of students were placed in renowned companies. L&T, TCS, and AARBEE STRUCTURES were the top recruiting companies. In civil engineering, the main role offered is in planning, quantity surveying, AE's, etc. Most college students received internships at prestigious companies.
Infrastructure: The civil engineering block was well facilitated with 3 floors, and there is a well-occupied CAD lab facility. The classrooms are well organized. The department library was easily accessible, and the staff is very friendly. The college hostel is available only for hostels, and the food was not much bad.
Faculty: The teachers in the college were helpful, qualified, and knowledgeable. The teaching quality was good. The course curriculum is that of KTU, which was good, and the relevance in industry for students is not much appreciable. The exams are not very tough when it is well prepared. The pass percentage of civil engineering depth for my batch is approximately 90%.
Other: I chose this course because of the vast opportunities for civil engineers today. It is better if the course curriculum is made easy for every student who chose this course.

    Great college and good facilities
Placements: The college offers decent on-campus placement opportunities, with a minimum of 40% of students getting placed each year. The highest package is 6.5 LPA. Our college has a dedicated team for placement assistance, and companies start coming in from the 7th semester onwards, with most being from the IT sector.
Infrastructure: The college is spread over less than 10 acres, but we have all the necessary facilities on campus. There are good classrooms, well-equipped labs with excellent staff, Wi-Fi in the computer labs, sports facilities, and a canteen that is affordable and offers good food.
Faculty: All the faculty have extensive teaching experience and are very supportive. The college is affiliated with KTU. However, the semester exams and evaluations are poor, with no fixed academic calendar and limited vacation time. The Applied Electronics and Instrumentation course is also not common.
Other: My college has two main events: Lakshya, a tech fest, and Drishya, a cultural festival. Many other events are also organized.

    A comprehensive review of GECK.
Placements: Almost 60% of students are placed every year at our college. 6–9 LPA was the highest package in our college. Top recruiting companies include Wipro, TCS, Cognizant, Aarbee Structures, etc. Almost 80% of students get internships every year. Top roles offered were testers, assistant engineers, etc.
Infrastructure: Facilities and infrastructures are little bit average for our college and most of the classes are smart classrooms which have AC, TVs, smart projectors, etc. Classrooms are very good in their space and Wi-Fi is also available. The library was a little bit average. There's no hostel at our college and students must opt for PG or hostels outside campus. The quality of food in the mess and canteen is very average and LH is available for ladies. Sports and curriculum were average.
Faculty: Teachers and faculty members are very much qualified and most of them are research scholars and have Ph.D.s too. Our university is KTU Apj Abdul Kalam Technological University; most of the syllabus covers industrial-related topics and makes students industry-ready. The difficulty of the exams was average. 69% is the pass percentage.
Other: I chose mechanical engineering because of my interest in machines engines, etc. The best things about our course is that it is relevant and very industrial-related. Our syllabus covers almost every aspects of mechanical engineering. Our college has mainly 2 national-level tech fests named Lakshya, Endora, and other local festivals. There's so much extracurricular curricular activities going on in our campus like NSS, ISTE, etc. Our college provides scholarships and grants based on government criteria.

The area should be extended, there is a need for a football ground.
Placements: The placements have not yet begun as this is a new course, and the first batch will graduate in 2026. Companies like L&T, Cognizant, and many others are expected to visit. The top role of Software Engineer was predominantly secured by ECE students, but I anticipate a shift due to this course.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is satisfactory. The college provides a hostel only for girls. The government has not yet built the boys' hostel, so most of them stay in PG accommodations. The college provides a gym, library, and canteen too. The college is very near to Calicut city and the beach, so I guess you can enjoy your 4 years.
Faculty: The methodology of conducting KTU exams is questionable. The curriculum is new, so I don't believe there are many problems with it. Semester exams are moderately difficult, neither too hard nor too easy. The pass percentage for CS students is higher compared to other branches. Some minor updates to the curriculum with an industry-based focus may be necessary.

Review of Government Engineering College, Kozhikode.
Placements: 45% of students in my course were placed. The lowest package offered was 5 LPA, while the highest was 12 LPA. Companies like Cognizant, Wipro, and many others recruit from my college. All students placed through campus selection were selected from their respective company internships. Recruiters are always from well-known IT companies.
Infrastructure: The college offers Wi-Fi connections for students and faculty members. There are separate labs for every branch, and the classrooms are big enough to accommodate 70+ students. Each department has its own library in addition to the main library of the college. The college provides computer facilities for everyone. The food from the canteen is affordable and is available from 8:30 in the morning to 5 in the evening. The hostel food is good. A counseling room is available to help students manage stress. There are many clubs and sports teams at this college.
Faculty: The teachers and other faculty members were really helpful. They were highly qualified and knowledgeable. The teachers are very proficient in their work. The course curriculum is very relevant and it does prepare the students for the industry. The exams are not that easy, but with proper preparation, they can be easily passed. The pass percentage of my course is above 90%.
Other: There are many events in college that many students from different colleges come and attend. The workshops they offer here are very useful.
