The review of Government Engineering College, Valsad.

Placements: Two companies visit the campus for the placements. The placement of our batch is 25, and a senior batch is 20. The good salary is offered to the students. Around, 15% of the students got an internship from our college. Government Engineering College, Valsad has the lowest fee for average students. There is a useful collection of equipment.

Satisfied because of faculty, placement, industry experience.

Placements: Placement is not guaranteed by college every year. It's depended only on the luck of students. Before two years ago, only one or two industries had come, but because of reputation of Head of Department who has organised placements. Many students has been selected. Companies like sunpharma, atul, etc. Come for placement. Students were offered role of Environmental Engineer, Design and Chemical as well as process engineer. College has also placement cell which give you nice knowledge and communica...

The college has good professors with well-experience.

Placements: It's a wonderful college for learning mechanical engineering. All the staff members were well-experienced and excellent. The problem is only travelling to the college. Basic infrastructure is as shown in all government engineering college. Placement is not shown in the last three years, but the college does the school training programme.

It is a good college with good infrastructure.

Placements: The placements are there, but mostly for the chemical engineering department, mechanical and electrical engineering. The placements for civil, department has not been done in the recent years. As far as I remember the average package offered this year was around Rs. 3,00,000 per annum for the chemical engineering department students.

Good placements in 2015 passout batch.

Placements: In 2015, a 2-3 company came to the college for placements of the pass out batch. Only 5-6 students have selected the company, and the packages are so good when compared to the other local companies. During our time in the college, Madhusilika casting company came for placements, and 2-3 students got selected with a normal basic package.

It is a good college to study.

Placements: Placements depend upon the training and placement officer's efforts year by year and officer's industrial connections. Placements also vary along with the branches and trend in the industries. The placements also depend upon college's relations along with the industries. As the Gujarat government governs the college, the reputation of the college is utmost.

It is a better place to do engineering. Good infrastructure and qualified faculty are available.

Placements: This college has poor placements facility. Hardly 3-4 local company used to visit our college. There are low chances to get placements. Only a few students got placement. Just 10% of students among 100% got the placement. The highest salary they can get is about 3 to 2 lakhs per annum.

Good college. Satisfied.

Placements: Every year different companies come for the campus interview placements and appoint required candidates for different jobs. Placements come for different branches like civil, environmental, mechanical, chemical, electrical etc. The salaries are provided as per the posts in companies. The highest salary offered last year for fresher was about 3 lakhs.

Overall it is good because of environment and some staff members.

Placements: Approximately 240 student where in my course There was no campus selection. But by government job fair. Hardly 3 to 4 have been selected for job with avg. 20k per month No company has recruited from campus. With help of consultant many have joint apprentice and rest have join contract in companies like GAIL, ISRO, etc.

Good faculty members but not well-equipped.

Placements: Only 5 to 6 percent of total students got placed during my batch. The highest salary was about 35k per month. Average 15k. Allweir pumps, Bic cello were some top companies for recruitment. Almost 40 percent of students got an internship, not from college. But in the last mega job fair. Almost 120 companies showed up.
