An overall good college..

Placements: The Government Medical College in Srinagar is a good college with excellent infrastructure and well-qualified faculty. It offers the MBBS course with an intake of 180 students per year. After the four and a half year course, every student gets a paid internship of one year. The stipend for interns is currently Rs 12,300 and is expected to be increased soon. The college has seven associated hospitals, including one super specialty hospital.

Absolutely, I loved it here—good placements, but it needs to improve infrastructure.

Placements: Almost 100 percent since it is a government college, everybody gets settled. Package varies from 40k to 60k per month. Mostly, it is government jobs, and some do PG or house jobs; a few get jobs in government hospitals as well. Everybody gets an internship in their own college, mainly as physicians, and internships in other subjects as well.

This is the best college.

Placements: This college has a placement rate of more than 90%. After completing a four-year degree, every medical student is required to complete a one-year internship with a stipend of Rs. 12,800 per month. Almost 80% of students clear NEET PG after graduating.

Everything in the college is good except that it is lacking in infrastructure.

Placements: GMC Srinagar produces the best doctors in valley. 100% get to do internship as there is no separate exam for this yet. Well known doctors of valley are from this college. After internship almost all the top seats in post graduate are occupied by the students of this college.

It is absolutely a satisfactory college and has value for money.

Placements: In JK, there is a 100% quota. The total number of seats available is 1,100 approximately, and out of that, about 180 students got placed from our college, i.e., approximately 17% of students. For MBBS, the admission fee is Rs. 26,000, excluding bus fare. It is MBBS, so none of the companies recruits from MBBS professional colleges. For MBBS, there is an internship after completing 4 years for 1 year out of a total 5 years MBBS course. Students have chances to opt only for medical professions lik...
