As part of registration, candidates will have to submit basic details such as name, date of birth, email ID, mobile number etc to generate login credentials. Thereafter candidates will have to login again and fill the application form for NEET PG 2025. Candidates will have to submit application fee to complete the application process. Admit card will be released to candidates who will apply successfully and fulfill the eligibility criteria by NBE.

Q: How many attempts are allowed in NEET PG?
Q: I got 535 marks in NEET PG. Will I get government college?
500 plus marks is considered a decent score in NEET PG exam. If a candidate score 535 marks that means his/her rank will be somewhere around 1000-2000. With that score, there is a chance to get admission in government college. Good score also depends on difficulty level of the question paper. If the question paper is difficult then cut off will be low. In 2023-24 session, general category cut off was 291 while the cut off for SC/ST was 257. Overall 500 plus marks will enable you to get admission in good college for PG course.
Q: How many candidates appear for NEET PG?
Around 2 Lakh candidates appear for NEET PG every year. The number varies every year. This year 2,28,540 candidates appeared for the exam. In NEET PG 2023, around 2,06,541 candidates appeared for the exam. In 2022, approximate number of candidates appeared for NEET PG exam was 1. 8 lakh. NEET PG 2024 exam was held on August 11 in computer-based mode in 170 test cities at 416 test centres.

Eligibility Criteria for NEET PG 2025 exam
Candidates will have to fulfill certain eligibility criteria to appear for NEET PG 2025 exam. Some of the eligibility criteria have been enlisted below:
Age criteria: There is no capping on age for NEET PG exam.
Academic qualification: Candidates should have MBBS degree/provisional Pass Certificate recognized as under Indian Medical Council Act 1956. Apart from MBBS degree, they should also possess a permanent/ provisional registration certificate of MBBS
Internship: Candidates have to complete their internship before the cutoff date as mentioned in the official brochure. The tentative date for internship cut off is July 31, 2025.
NEET PG 2025 Registration/Application
NEET PG registration is mandatory to access and submit online application form. NEET PG application process starts with registration followed by filling details in the application, choosing exam centre, uploading documents as per the size and format mentioned by NBE, paying online exam fee, and taking print out of application form. NBE will release NEET PG 2025 application form tentatively in the third week of April 2025. NBE will also open correction window to modify certain details uploaded along with the application.
How to apply for NEET PG?
- Visit the official website, nbe.edu.in and select “NEET PG”
- Click on "New Registration"
- Enter the details such as name, date of birth, email Id, mobile number, captcha etc.
- Click on "Submit"
- A user ID and password will be created and sent on registered email Id and mobile number
- Login again in application login zone
- Fill personal, qualification, and centre details in the application form
- Upload documents as per the size and format
- Pay online application fee to complete the application process
- Take out a print out of the filled application form
Q: How many times can we appear for NEET PG?
Candidates can appear for as many times as they want. There is no cap on the number of attempts in NEET PG exam. As per the experts, candidates may appear twice for the exam to improve the score or to do away mistakes in the first attempt. NEET PG exam is held in computer-based mode. Candidates who qualify the exam with the minimum cut off can participate in the counselling process. They have to register and declare choice for college to participate in the seat allocation process.
Q: Can I opt for Hindi in NEET PG exam?
No. There is no option of any other language other than English. According to the existing NEET PG pattern, the exam is conducted in English language only. While NEET exam is conducted in 13 languages, NEET PG is conducted in only one language. NBE releases exam pattern along with the official information brochure. According to existing exam pattern, the exam is conducted in computer-based mode. Total 200 multiple choice questions are asked of 800 marks. Total allotted time for the question paper is 3.5 hours.
Q: Can I apply offline for NEET PG?
No. Candidates will have to register on the official website for NEET PG exam and submit application form. Offline and other mode of application will not be accepted. NBE, the exam conducting body will be releasing the application form online. Candidates will have to complete registration first to submit application form. NEET PG 2024 application form was released on April 16, 2024.
Q: Is NEET PG compulsory after MBBS?
Yes. NEET PG is compulsory for those candidates who want to pursue postgraduate medical courses. Those who qualify the exam with the minimum cut off become eligible to participate in the counsleling for seat allotment. NEET PG or National Eligibility cum Entrance Test for Post-Graduation, is conducted for providing admission to various MD (Doctor of Medicine)/ MS (Master of Surgery) and PG Diploma courses in medical colleges across the country.
Q: Can I appear in regional language for NEET PG exam?
No, you cannot appear in regional language in NEET PG exam. According to the NEET PG pattern, the examination is conducted in the English language only. All aspirants must refer to the question papers of previous years for NEET PG 2024 preparation. The examination will be held online (computer-based) at allocated centres across the country. A total of 200 multiple choice questions will be asked in the exam and candidates will get 3.5 hours to answer them.

NEET PG Admit card 2025
Candidates who will register successfully in the given deadline will be issued admit card for NEET PG 2025. It must be noted NBE will not send NEET PG 2025 admit card on email or post. Candidates will have to download the admit card from the official website after login and providing details such as application ID, password and security code. The admit card contains crucial details including name and address of exam centre. Candidates do have to carry admit card along with one of the photo identity proofs at NEET PG 2025 centre.

NEET PG 2025 Syllabus
NEET PG syllabus comprises subjects and topics of MBBS. The syllabus basically comprises three sections, clinical, pre and para clinical. Before starting NEET PG preparation, candidates should check the syllabus to understand what all topics and subjects to be studied to ace the exam. It must be noted NBE doesn’t release syllabus word by word for NEET PG 2025 exam. “The syllabus for the exam shall comprise of subject/knowledge area as per Graduate Medical Education Regulations issued by the erstwhile Medical Council of India with prior approval of the Govt of India,” the official brochure says.
NEET PG Pattern 2025
NEET PG 2025 pattern will be released by NBE along with the official brochure. The exam pattern comprises details about exam including exam mode, medium, total number of questions and its type, and marking scheme. There will be negative marking in the exam. NEET PG 2025 Result
NEET PG 2025 result will be declared online in the form of scorecard. The result will be released online in PDF format. Candidates will have to score the minimum cut off to qualify for the exam. The qualifying cut off varies as per the category. Candidates of general category will have to score 50 percentile to qualify for NEET PG 2025. A merit list will be released based on marks scored in the exam. Shortlisted candidates in the merit list will be eligible for NEET PG 2025 counselling for seat allocation.
