The placements are really good and companies like Infosys, Saint-Gobain, TCS, Vardhman, Trident and much more visit the college and select students from all branches.

Recruitments are just fine but they don't let you sit in another campus, if you get placed once, therefore no backup plans, But some of the companies are great.

College didn't met the expectations I had before taking admission here.
Placements: Placements in the Computer Science branch are minimal. In other branches like Civil, placements are good. Choose your college based on placements, as opportunities here are less due to high competition. Placements are only achieved by students who don't solely focus on the college syllabus.
Infrastructure: There are many labs, 3 boys’ hostels, and 1 girls’ hostel. There are different departments. Hostels are clean, and every year hostel rooms are allocated based on the year of study. Clean water coolers are provided, but the water is still a bit dirty, so we need to take care of ourselves.
Faculty: Teachers and faculty are supportive in some cases only. However, some teachers exhibit rude behavior. There are events here that help with practical life skills, and academic help from teachers is also provided. Just respect the teachers and others.

Best Faculty, Better Placements and Excellent Cultural Committee and Extra Ciruculam Supporting .
Placements: GNDEC, Ludhiana, has a much better placement rate compared to other engineering colleges in Punjab. The highest package in CSE for 2023 was 51 LPA at Microsoft. Top recruiting companies include Tata, Airtel, and Nvidia, among others. The average package last year was 6-7 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of GNDEC is excellent, though maintenance could be improved in some areas. The CS/IT labs are equipped with PCs featuring i5 processors (13th Gen). The college has more than a hundred computers and a server room. Additionally, there are well-equipped labs for ME, CE, and other departments.
Faculty: The teachers here are very helpful and have a high emotional quotient (EQ). They assist students in every situation, including extracurricular activities. The course curriculum is supported by modern techniques and was updated in 2024.
Other: I would also like to appreciate the college’s cultural committee, which has nurtured many artists, including Shubhdeep Singh Sidhu, popularly known as Sidhu Moosewala.

Do not take admission here; please have other options.
Placements: Not much placement opportunity in the college. No top MNC is reaching college for placements these days. The role offered is SDE1, or intern. The package is between 3 and 7 LPA. Internships are not offered by colleges; students have to find them themselves.
Infrastructure: Hostel quality is actually not that good. You will get a good hostel when you are in your first year, but after that, the quality of the hostel starts getting worse, and the food is the worst in the hostel. Also, there are not great events for hostels. The hostel seen by the girls is the worst.
Faculty: The faculty of the college is average, but some professors are really good and highly qualified and have research papers published, while others are not highly skilled, and most of them are contact-based. As the college is autonomous, the exams are prepared and checked in the college itself.

The college is one of the best college in Punjab for pursuing core branches.
Placements: Guru Nanak Dev Engineering College, Ludhiana is a pretty good college with a decent placement record. Many good companies like Schneider and other local companies in my branch recruit electrical engineers. This year, the highest package in Electrical Engineering is 6 LPA.
Infrastructure: The college has decent infrastructure and facilities, which are value for money. Wi-Fi is available throughout the campus. Hostels are pretty good, with attached washrooms in the first year, and the mess food is also good. The grounds and sports equipment are well-maintained, and the college excels in sports.
Faculty: The faculty of my college is highly educated and experienced, with an average of 20 years of experience. Many professors have completed their Ph.D. from IITs. The faculty for core branches is exceptional. The exams are of 60 marks, with 2 MSTs of 24 marks each.
Other: It is a good college for pursuing core branches. Our college had a very strong alumni network since 1956.

The college faculty is very friendly. The environment of the college is very open.
Placements: The highest salary package offered is 51 Lacs per annum, while the average package is 4 Lacs per annum. The maximum average package is 12 Lacs per annum. Top recruiting companies include Infosys, IBM, Airtel, and Accenture. Every student in their third year is offered two months of training.
Infrastructure: The college has various labs, including hardware, DBMS, WD, OS, and PL labs, all of which are equipped with Wi-Fi and high-tech PCs. The classrooms are well maintained, although there are some hygiene issues due to a lack of proper soap facilities in the washrooms.
Faculty: The teachers are very knowledgeable and qualified. The course curriculum has recently been updated to be more relevant to our chosen course of study. However, to be industry-ready, each student needs to put in the effort to be placed in a reputed company. The college faculty is always there to help us achieve our goals.
Other: The college organizes a Youth Fest and an Anand Utsav every year. In addition, it organizes various other events throughout the year.

My honest review writing that I have experienced.
Placements: Placements are average in this college. Only two students got placed in the Electro and Communication Engineering 2023 batch; otherwise, all are wasted for placements. The highest package is around 5 LPA, and the lowest is 2 LPA. I am not recommending this college for those students who are looking for placements after an immediate degree.
Infrastructure: Infrastructure is good, clean, and green; colleges take care of facilities; everything that is required for students is also available; Wi-Fi is also available.; classrooms have a have a library; overall, everything is good. Good, all books are available in the library, but in limited amounts.
Faculty: It's 50-50. Some teachers are helpful and some are not; some teachers just come finish their lecture and go. If the syllabus is not completed in time, then it is the student's responsibility to complete the syllabus for the examination, and if you have failed the exam, then it's also your responsibility.
