One of the best private institutes in Eastern India to pursue hotel and hospitality management.
Placements: The institution offers placements not just in hotels and restaurants but also in cruiselines, aviation and even hospitals. My course would be completed tentatively by August 2021, and we've just begun to appear for campus interviews. As for our internships, almost all the students of our class were training in either 5-star or 5-star deluxe properties.
Infrastructure: Our institution is equipped with state-of-the-art facilities that include Wi-Fi, practical training labs for all the core subjects, a spacious multi-purpose auditorium and smart classrooms. I was not availing the hostel facility being a day scholar, but the boys and girls hostels are safe and comfortable as per my knowledge. A sprawling field adorns the campus, which is used for various sporting and cultural events and activities. There's an adjoining basketball court too for the enthusiasts.
Faculty: Our institution has some really qualified and distinguished faculty members who have extensive knowledge about their subjects, thus proving to be a great help for the students of various courses. I would like to thank Chef. Avijit Ray, who is the HOD of the food production division of the institution. I learnt a great deal of culinary knowledge from him throughout, and it has helped me with my practical knowledge, especially during my internships. The course curriculum of our institution has been framed in a manner that makes the students skilled, confident, and above all, ready to face the industry after the completion of the course.
Other: The college organises events around the year, like fresher's party, farewell party, inter-college tournaments, cultural fests, food fest, which have already garnered enough spotlight and attention in the student community.

Our college doesn't encourage ragging. Our college is also equipped with playgrounds which are well maintained. It also organises sports and games quite often, which plays a vital role in students' wellness. Medical facilities are available in abundance when required.

Every topic of the course curriculum is made understandable and revised so that none of the students has any doubts. The course curriculum is designed in such a way that after completing it, you will already get ready to work in the hospitality sector.

The college is value for money.
Placements: Placements are always good in our college. In the batch of 2019-2021, almost 90% of the students got placements. On average, students get about 2 job offers. There are many hotels that want students from Guru Nanak, and some of the well-reputed hotels are Taj, Oberoi, ITC, Chancery, Accord, Mayfair, Marriott, Sheraton, etc. There are also opportunities for students to work on a contractual basis in countries like UK, USA, Canada, Ireland, Australia, etc.
Infrastructure: Our college is huge in infrastructure with a huge space. There is a big ground on the campus, and they also celebrate many festivals. Every department has its own labs. Labs are very clean and huge, and all the equipment is available. Students also learn practical things. Infrastructure is awesome, and the entire college is enabled with a free Wi-Fi facility. There is a big library where students can borrow books and previous years' question paper. The hostel is also gigantic. The food served here is great and nutritious. Students can play football, cricket, basketball, badminton, etc., on our campus.
Faculty: Our college faculty members are very knowledgeable, helpful, properly skilled and well-qualified. They are always prepared to help students at any time. The course is great because any students can complete the course properly with the faculty members' help and get a decent job in any hospitality industry. I am from an MBA course, which is of 2 years and 4 semesters. It included a 6-months industrial training in a 5-star hotel. It is a very good course of constant learning with practical exposure. There is a scope for students who want to go abroad and do their training, such as USA, Canada, Dubai, Thailand and Malaysia.
Other: The college is on the campus along with 3 other colleges of the same group of JIS. Students are studying in the college from all over India as well as international students from Nepal, Thailand and Bangladesh. The average ratio of boys to girls is 3:1.

The faculty members are good, but the college doesn't bother about our knowledge.
Placements: Management trainee, executive trainee and GSA roles are offered in Indian and international brands both in India and abroad. But the placement percentage is low. 3 out of 10 students got placed from college. The college should provide MBA exposure and let the students choose a particular genre before the internship.
Infrastructure: The college's infrastructure is very charming, but a few departments need modern appliances. Otherwise, it has a very attractive and beautiful infrastructure. We are expecting a better interior in future. The labs were good for the kitchen, and almost everything was there. Except that, other departments need appliances.
Faculty: Kudos to the food production team. Everything is available. If any appliance is failed, there must be a second option. Many workshops are conducted by various celebrity chefs, our faculty and kitchen HOD, Chef. Avijit sir, and they are always rocking. Other departments are good enough.
Other: The college conducts many events which always have gathered crowd, be it a football or cricket match, badminton tournament, any cultural event, any inter-college or intra-college competition, or international competitions.
