B.E. in Civil Engineering - Batch of 2023

Placements are not so good, but education, faculty, and cultural activities are all good.
Placements: I got placed at Lixil in my 7th semester, but it was not worth it because they sent us on the dealer-end, and it was not actually based on what we had studied. The salary offered was Rs. 19,500 per month.
Infrastructure: Facilities provided are good. The college is neat and clean. They provide the best facilities for students.
Faculty: Teachers are honestly very helpful in everything. The course curriculum is relevant and makes students industry-ready. Semester exams are not so hard.
Other: I chose this course because I have always wanted to be a civil engineer and it is my dream. The tech fest is great because it connects you with reality and gives you a chance to showcase your abilities. They celebrate many events and conduct many activities to engage students in games, annual functions, tech fests, etc.

Review of Gyanmanjari Institute of Technology.
Placements: More than 50% of students are placed from our batch. In the civil branch, the package is offered from 1.4 LPA to 2.2 LPA. I was selected in MKC Infrastructure Ltd, in which I posted at Jetpur Rajkot district for gauge conversation railway project. Where my designation is a junior engineer. My site knowledge and skill are increased by this training.
Infrastructure: The campus is under construction when we are studying but at the end of our 4 years journey, the campus is developed in a good manner so that students can study in a pleasant atmosphere. Especially the civil laboratory is the well-equipped with latest technology.
Faculty: The faculty for our civil engineering is well technically sound and knowledgeable. The exam is taken by the college by 70 marks and then the final exams. The practical knowledge is given by faculty in laboratory and field work sessions. So that it can help during the job.

Absolutely disappointed because of the professors and college timings.
Placements: Very few students got placed from the institute. 80% of us found jobs on our own, and they displayed us as we got placed from the institute. Students merely got internships from the institute.
Infrastructure: The facilities and infrastructure are quite good. There is a library with a huge capacity to accommodate ample students to read. There are labs with the most sophisticated instruments, but I recommend choosing any other college or university if you are not from Bhavnagar.
Faculty: I am not really satisfied with the faculty members. They recently completed their studies and have very less experience in teaching. Indeed, the conversation and lectures are supposed to be in English because it is an English medium college, but every lecturer speaks Gujarati or Hindi.
Other: I want to become a civil engineer since my 10th, and I was passionate to be a civil engineer. The curriculum is really disappointing, and they should change the college timings and hire some knowledgeable professors. I like the events held there, and they were quite low-scaled compared to other colleges and universities.

This college is like a school. Visit the college before taking admission.
Placements: Ours is the first batch in GMIT College. Placements are not provided in our college. You should go for an internship at your own choice. No reputed company visits the campus for placements. You should get placed on your own. Campus interviews are not conducted even by small-scale companies. So, the placement rate of our college is zero. If you join this college, do not expect any placements.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is average. Facilities like A/C classrooms are provided. CCTV cameras are installed for security reasons. Classrooms are average and comfortable. The campus is very small and so has no playground for different games. The campus doesn't have a proper food court. Various laboratories are not available. The available labs have no tools and machinery.
Faculty: Faculty members are all freshers, not experienced. Professors are not assigned according to the subjects. The syllabus is completed on time, but they teach the topics very fast. Some subjects are taught only according to the exam pattern.
Other: Events conducted in our college are not good.

Overall, I'm satisfied with the college.
Placements: To be very honest, I don't know the exact figures of the placements. However, as far as I have discussed with my seniors, they have done internships, and the placement ratio is also good. The placement cell in our college is doing their job in a great way to place students. A few students got placed through college placements, but since our first batch hasn't passed out yet, these figures are extraordinary. With passing time, we will be seeing their great efforts in providing placements for students.
Infrastructure: I would like to tell you that our college has the best interiors that I have ever seen. According to me, our college is just fantastic. The college atmosphere is thrilling and energetic. They are going to start and provide the hostel facility very soon. Labs and classrooms are good with all the facilities that are required for students.
Faculty: I think I've learnt a lot of new innovative things from the course which is provided to us. Here, the way of teaching and learning is different, so the education system of our college is good. All the staff members in our college are outstanding and very helpful to students. I like the faculty members of our college.
Other: I think we experience all the fun shown in the movie 'Student Of The Year'. There are games, competitions, unity and everything among us.
