Review of Haldia Government College.
Placements: Students of our course companies don't get placed because don't visit our college to offer placements. Our college principal should arrange a community for placements and internships to give a bright future for students.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college is good. Few classrooms have smart board facilities with sound systems. There is a common room with a projector and good sound quality. Wi-Fi is not available in our college. Hostel and its food quality are good. Canteen is clean. All types of sports and games are available in our college.
Faculty: Some teachers in our college are very helpful and some are not good. Their teaching quality is very bad. All the semester exams are easy. Students need to study 4 to 5 days before exams. All the students pass the semester exams.
Other: I chose this course for my better future. Teachers should focus on conducting regular classes. All types of scholarships are provided in our course. Freshers' party and fests are organised in our college to make college life enjoyable.

A great place for learning.
Placements: Since most courses offered are UG courses, placement is not a valid question to ask. There are internships in mostly applied fields like Statistics and economics. Students from this college have went to reputed institutions like IIT-K, IISc, TIFR and CU for higher studies.
Infrastructure: The department of Statistics has two computer labs, the campus has central Wi-Fi, hence connectivity is not an issue. Each department has a seminal library and there is one central Library in the college. The college has a playground, common rooms, medical facilities and hostel. The food is of average standard in the hostel.
Faculty: The teachers are highly helpful and cooperative. Attending classes regularly is enough to learn the subject. Yes, the curriculum is relevant. The pass percentage is 35%. Many programming languages are taught as well in few courses. The Statistics and Chemistry department are superior to others in terms of performance of students in national level competitive exams.
Other: The college holds a fest annually, offers a range of scholarships, holds NCC and NSS, has a playground, common rooms, library, canteen and hostel. However, the market places are a little far from the campus. The department of Statistics is a superb place to be at.

It is the best college for a general degree course.
Placements: It was a general degree college. Many companies were TCS, IBM, etc. The highest salary package offered was 4 LPA, and a very less percentage of students got selected. The top role was programmers from the statistics department. But there was an opportunity for post graduate.
Infrastructure: Wi-Fi was available in this college, and there was also a library with 50,000 books. In our college girls and boys, both hostels were available. The food quality was not good. The canteen was also there, and annual sports were organised by this college.
Faculty: There was a net set of qualified professors in this college. In the geography department, there was a 1:10 students teachers ratio. Quality was good but not every professor was good for teaching. Semester exams were not very much difficult, but students had 75% of marks. The pass percentage was 80%.
Other: Geography was a very good subject, and the subject has a future like students can study in remote sensing and GIS in M.Sc, etc. Scholarships were provided to those who score 60% in higher secondary.

Haldia Government College is the best.
Placements: In this situation, all my friends in our department and I got above 85%. In our course, the average salary package offered is normal because it is a government college. Above 85% of students got internships from our course.
Infrastructure: Our college provides good facilities. Here Wi-Fi, labs, and library are available. Our hostel facility is so beautiful in our college and as it is a government college so the fee charges are low. In the hostel, games are available.
Faculty: In our department, all our teachers are helpful and they are very good and very talented. Their teaching quality is very good. Semester exams are so hard in this college. In this situation of lockdown, the pass percentage is above 85%.
Other: I chose this course because I love mathematics. All the places in our college are good.

Heaven for all round development.
Placements: I am a student of the mechanical engineering department. We have a bunch of 150 students in our department and approximately 45% of students got placed in different companies like INFOSYS, WIPRO, COGNIZANT, BYJU'S, HALDIA PETROCHEMICALS LTD., SANMAR PVT. LTD. TATA MOTORS, TCS, BENGAL ENERGY, BENGAL TOOLS etc. The highest package was INR 10 LPA given by BYJU'S and the lowest was approximately INR 1.8LPA. And the average salary was approximately INR 2.5 LPA. Approximately 10% of students got internship.
Infrastructure: Our college has an area of 51 acres. There are facilities of the hostel (year wise). Hostel facilities include Wi-Fi 24 hour electricity and Food. Every department has a separate classroom and there is 2 library. One is filled with books and the other with books. For medical facility 2 hospital vans are always at the GATE of hostels. We have a free medical checkup in BC ROY. Separate grounds are given for sports. ( Basketball, cricket, football, athletics, table tennis, badminton, etc. ).
Faculty: All the teachers are qualified (M.Tech ) minimum degree. As far as the quality of faculty is concerned some teachers are exceptionally good. But, some of them are not good at all. We got 2 industry visits of 4 weeks duration each. And in the last year, we have to do 2 projects from any technical background from the mechanical degree course.
Other: I choose this course because I like to make my hands dirty. The course is full of nature's law and the mechanism of nature. The best thing about mechanical engineering is it gives clarity of the mechanism that is keeping the earth alive. We study about machines and their mechanism and nowadays all people need machines for their daily purpose. I think a little knowledge about modeling software if provided will be very beneficial for students. There is 2 fest organized every year I. e, technical fest, and cultural fest, and NPTEL exam are conducted in our college for technical clarity. For extracurricular activity, there are a different organisation like jigyasa, needs, IEEE, samarpan etc. which conduct different activities all the time.
