Haridwar University shortlists candidates for most of the programmes based on merit in the last qualifying exam. For BTech, the university accepts JEE Main score. Yes, you can get direct admission to Haridwar University without any entrance exam like JEE Mains, Gate, etc. For admission to B.Com, BA, BBA, or BHM, you need to have a minimum of 50% marks in class 12th. For admission to B.Sc. or B.Tech, you need to have a minimum of 60% marks in class 12th from a recognised board with Physics, Math, and Chemistry or Biology as one of the compulsory subjects while for admission in masters, you need to have a minimum of 60% in the Bachelor from a recognised board.

In case, a candidate is unable to pay the fee within the specified time, his or her admission will stand cancelled.

The College That Runs for Money.
Placements: The placement scenario was not very encouraging, with only a few students securing good packages, while the rest did not receive any placement offers. Unfortunately, only about 8% of the students from this university were placed. And they promise that they have 100% placement, but there was nothing like this.
Infrastructure: The university campus was very small, consisting of only two buildings: the Academic Block and the Pharmacy Block. There was free Wi-Fi available, but it hardly ever worked. There was a canteen on campus, but everything was overpriced compared to the market. Additionally, there were hostels, but I wasn’t a hostel resident, so I don’t know much about them. However, my friends who lived there said they were also quite bad.
Faculty: They run the university, so they do whatever they want. They detained me in the 3rd semester due to low attendance and demanded 5,000 per subject, which totaled 30,000. After I submitted the fees, they passed me in the internals and also gave me good grades in the semester exams.

It'd be a good choice for those who want to complete their professional B.Tech degree in less amount
Placements: In the branch of Computer Science and Engineering, the placements are quite decent. Most of the students were placed between 3-6 LPA jobs. Some got more, as much as 18 LPA and 28 LPA too. L&T, Adobe, Gillette, Nascom, and other companies had given the students jobs in their field. Internships are done, and everyone has to participate, which are mostly non-paid.
Infrastructure: The university is neat and clean. It has a Wi-Fi campus with overall good connectivity. Labs, canteen, cafe, libraries, and digital classrooms are available. You can see a strict routine of the hostel and campus as it is situated near the Ganga canal. So, it is not an open campus. Also, medical facilities are somewhat adequate, but they could reach you to the nearest hospital by the vans provided by the college. Sports get great interest here. NCC is provided to the private candidates as the college is affiliated with the 84 UK BN NCC Roorkee.
Faculty: Teachers are very helpful, polite, humble, and qualified. Still, some of the facilities lack teaching skills, but yes, overall it has a good environment. The courses provided by the university meet the demands of the company. You can get a lot of knowledge, and there are many industrial visits also that are funded by the college itself.
Other: This college organizes a fest known as Utkarsh every year. Also, the college organizes many sports, competitions, and various hackathons for the upliftment of students.

Placements: I took admission at Haridwar University in 2024 for B.Tech CSE. My seniors told me about the university, and I felt very good about taking admission here. 96 percent of students were placed in 2023, and 90 percent of students got internships till now. Recruiting companies include TCS, Wipro, L&T, etc. Many multinational companies come to the university every year for better placements.
Infrastructure: All over, the infrastructure is very good—well-equipped labs, well-stocked libraries, and a very good environment. Many sports facilities like cricket, football, badminton, etc., are available, with both indoor and outdoor game facilities. Hostel facilities are also available separately for both girls and boys.
Faculty: All teachers are very knowledgeable and experienced in their subjects. They are helpful and supportive of students. Many teachers are Ph.D. holders, and some of them are researchers. The remaining teachers are master's degree holders in their subjects. The curriculum is very supportive and industry-focused.

Haridwar University is the best.
Placements: Almost 96% of students got placed in 2023. Recruiting companies are L&T, Nascom Foundation, Indian Navy, Tech Mahindra, etc. Almost 98% of students got internships till now. Roles offered are application development, etc. The highest salary package offered is 85 LPA. The average salary package offered is 10 LPA.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is good. Haridwar University provides many facilities to us like free Wi-Fi all over campus during class and in the hostel. Sports facilities are provided. A hostel facility is also available. There is a separate campus for boys and girls. We have well-stocked libraries.
Faculty: Faculty members are helpful to students. Many teachers are Ph.D. holders. Some of them are researchers. The remaining teachers completed their master's in their respective subjects. All teachers are well-qualified and experienced. The exam pattern is semester-wise. The curriculum is so good.

Absolutely dissatisfied because of faculty. It really has good campus and average infrastructure.
Placements: Hello Everyone! My graduation is from (2023-2026); currently, I am in 2nd year. Many of the students are placed in several companies. Out of 27 students, 4 students got the placement. It totally depends upon you. How much you study Most of the students in my class were below average or average, and some of the students were good at studies. That good students got placement and some got off-campus placement. We got an internship, but that's not that worth it. We didn't get any specialization in this university.
Infrastructure: We got a classroom that is so small, Wi-Fi connection is poor here. In labs there are so many computers, but most of them are not working. If working there, there is no software for coding. You have to bring your own system for coding. You can do coding in a free online compiler. Library is also small. You will get your books according to your course, but rather than your course, there is nothing. Like any storybooks or any motivational books, etc. I am a day scholar, so I don't know about the hostel food. But my hostel friends used to say food is not so good; they used to order food from Zomato or Swiggy most of the time. Medical facilities are so poor. I don't know about the sports and games because I am not involved in this stuff.
Faculty: I am currently in 2nd year BCA, and we didn't get good faculty members at all. They are not that much qualified. But, yes, programming teachers are good, and they have good knowledge of their field. I couldn't say the academic skills make students perfect for the jobs. Semester exams are not that much difficult. If you study 1 week before the exam, you can score more than 8 CGPA. Pass percentage is 40%.
Other: I was basically from the bio stream. But my interest was in the IT field, so I switched my stream from bio to IT. This college was affordable for me according to a private college. It is a very strict college. You will feel like you're studying school again after passing out from 12th. You have to follow rules and regulations. Maintain 75% attendance, proper uniform, class tests, mid-seems, etc. The best thing is that you will get some free space compared to B. Teach for your extracurricular activities. You can learn any technology side by side. Again I am saying anybody can manage the time. If I got the opportunity to change something in my course, I would add some soft skills activities too. Events at the campus crowd these are amazing. This university provides you a lot of scholarships and involves you in extracurricular activities, which is very good.
