B.Tech. in Computer Science and Engineering - Batch of 2022
3
2Placements4Infrastructure3Faculty4Crowd & Campus Life2Value for Money
It is a good college in terms of campus and infrastructure, but not facilities or teaching.
Placements: About 70% of students were placed in our course. The salary package offered was 12 LPA to 15 LPA. I heard that some big companies came to our college to hire students. About 40% to 50% of students got internships in our course. The top role offered was software developer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of our college was very good, but the facilities were not that good. The food in the mess was not good. The ground was good. There were different sections for various games like cricket, football, volleyball, badminton, etc.
Faculty: The teaching quality is not that good. All teachers are freshers. Each teacher needs to teach 100 students in a lecture. Semester exams are not that tough. The pass percentage is 40%. Exams are conducted strictly.
Other: I chose this course because I had no other options. The good thing about this course is that it guarantees a job. There should be more practical work than theoretical work. All other things are good.

Review of Himalayan Group of Professional Institutions, Sirmour.
Placements: Placements are provided at nearby companies like Blue Star, Justdial, etc. Placement camps are being set up by the industrialists before our final exams for the purpose of providing us with knowledge and various other experiences regarding our jobs.
Infrastructure: We have been provided with Wi-Fi and other major facilities that are essential for our course. The library for our department has been set up separately. We have two computer labs, including a server lab, for performing technical work and programming.
Faculty: Faculty members here are very supportive and take full responsibility for their duties and tasks. They are helpful. They are efficient in their subjects as well as supporting us to take part in the other activities.
Other: I chose this course because of the future opportunities and various other reasons, like my interest in the technical field.

Great Infrastructure and Best Facilities.
Placements: Placements are not good, with minimal students getting placed. In our batch, no companies visited for placement purposes. Most students applied off-campus and secured placements. The roles offered to them include Java Developer, Full Stack Developer, and Software Engineer.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure of this college is impressive, offering hostel facilities for students from distant places such as Bihar, Haryana, Assam, Himachal, and more. They also provide various sports and games opportunities, especially during sports day.
Faculty: The faculty and curriculum are average. Teachers are cooperative and handle student doubts well. They are knowledgeable in their respective subjects. The difficulty of exams is moderate and can be passed easily by most students.

I am satisfied with faculty and good infrastructure, average placement in past years.
Placements: About 70% of students got placed in companies. The lowest salary offered is Rs. 10,000 per month and the highest salary offered is Rs. 50,000 per month. Top recruiting companies like Blue Star, HCC, BEL Tata, Sidvall, Infosys, etc., visited the campus. About 20% of students got an internship. Roles offered in our course like a junior engineer, supply or product test, group leader, designer.
Infrastructure: All the facilities like Wi-Fi, smart labs, and classrooms are available. The hostel facility is average, and only vegetarian food is served. Sports activities are present. Students do night parties in the hostel. For physical fitness gym is available. Water coolers and indoor games are also provided. Canteen opens at 10 am.
Faculty: Teachers are helpful in classrooms and also provide study materials. Teachers are well qualified, and their teaching is above average. This course curriculum is relevant, but the syllabus is not according to industry requirements, it is an old syllabus. Teachers behave like friends.
Other: I have chosen this course because of future scope, and for the use of new technologies. The syllabus should be improved. Every year annual function, fresher party, and other events are organised.

This college is neither good nor bad.
Placements: I am in the last semester, i.e., 8th semester. There is no hope for placements. I also don't think that the college provides any placements. However, I still have 3 months to complete the course, so let's see what happens. I am not quite sure about the placements of our senior batch.
Infrastructure: Classrooms and library in the college are good. The library has almost all books related to all the branches. The campus is good, but it's not the best that I have seen. There are labs available for our branch, but most of the equipment doesn't work, and that's an annoying thing. Food served in the canteen is good, but the food served in the hostel is not good.
Faculty: Teachers in the college are qualified and also helpful. But there is always a shortage of 2-3 teachers in the civil engineering department. Most of them teach well, but a few teachers are not that good. No special methods of teaching used here. They follow the same approach as most of the other faculty members use. They use a board and marker to teach. There were exactly 3 visits that were organised for our batch. If you are thinking to come here to study civil engineering, then you will get good knowledge. All the faculty members and industry visits are good here. The worst thing is the management, staff and our dean. They will never try to cooperate with you at any cost. They will treat you like a god until you become a part of their college, and after that, they will never really cooperate with you.
Other: The college doesn't organise many events. Events like annual fest, sports fest, Diwali mela, etc., are conducted in the college. These events are even good if you focus on your studies. The education is provided free of cost for SC/ST students as the government of Himachal pays for them. As far as other states are concerned, students who belong to Jammu and Kashmir can also get education free of cost. The rest of the students can avail their scholarships according to their state's laws.

In less money you can become an engineer in this college.
Placements: To be frank, they didn't call any IT company for CSE students they just called KPO and BPO to hire computer Science engineers. Even also for another branch like electronic, communication engineering or mechanical engineering, civil engineering and electrical engineering the good companies have also not come to place them. No software company, no hardware company no electrical company have come to place them.
Infrastructure: The infrastructure is awesome, and the campus is good. The environment around the college is good. Wi-Fi is in all the area of campus. The classrooms are great in the campus. Labs are in good condition. Hostel rooms are also good. The mess food is also good, and even wardens are also good. The canteen is also good, and in the campus, shops are also available for students.
Faculty: Some of the faculty are good, but not all are good. Some of the faculty have come from NIT Hamirpur, and some are from private institutions. Some faculty have good knowledge and logic, and some don't. Some of the faculty members complete their syllabus on Time, and some give more and more assignment to complete their syllabus immediately.
Other: The scholarships are available only for sc/st students.
