Hindu College Admission 2025: Details & Updates

Hindu College, Sonepat was established in the year 1956 and in 1958 it carved out a niche for itself in the former composite Punjab State in the form of a creditable institution when its student Ramdhan Singh topped the merit list of Intermediate examination (F.A) conducted by the Panjab University, Chandigarh to which this college stood affiliated at that time.

Hindu College offers degree and diploma programmes to aspirants at the undergraduate (UG) and post-graduate (PG) level. Programmes offered at Hindu College are in the streams including – Science, Humanities & Social Sciences, Management as well as Commerce.

UG Admission

Hindu College offers courses in Commerce, Science, Management and Arts subjects at the UG level.

The basic eligibility criteria for all the courses is passing 10 + 2 examination. All admissions are based on the merit in the qualifying examination. Students whose marks fall under the cut-off marks issued by Hindu College are eligible for admission.

PG Admission

Hindu College comprises of PG level programmes focusing on the area of Science, Commerce and Humanities & Social Sciences. Master of Arts (MA) is offered with a duration period of two years.

Eligibility for admission to MA is as per norms laid down by the University of Delhi. Admission process for MA course is as per the procedure set by the respective Departments of University of Delhi.

Online process will be managed by Central Admission Council, Department of Higher Education Haryana, Panchkula

For MA, MCom and MSc Courses

Candidates are required to fill form online and submit the printed form with its Photo-copy and original certificates for document verification.

For BBA, BA, B.Com, BSc Courses

Admission to these courses is offered online and document verification is done at the time of final admission

Rules Governing Submission of Form & Admission

1. Application for admission in any course will be as per MDU’s Prospectus & Rules

2. The Principal reserves the right to reject any application form for admission without assigning any reason whatsoever.

3. The admission to the second and third years will be as per MDU’s guidelines

4. At the time of admission, a student must be accompanied by his/her parent/guardian

5. There is no provision for admitting students as 'casual students'
