Placements: I would like to proudly say that HIMT College is one of the best in terms of placements. Top shipping companies like D'Amico, Maersk, M.Sc., Dynacom, MOL, and Goodwood are recruiting cadets for all departments, including Nautical Science, Marine Engineering, and ETO. My batch has a strength of 30, with 8 cadets placed in D'Amico Shipping and Synergy halfway through the course. The placed cadets will start as Trainee Marine Engineers (TME) and will earn around 750 USD per month, with potential in...
Placements: The placements at HIMT are very good compared to the other training institutes, because in our batch, 85 percent of the cadets got placed in various companies like Synergy, IMEC, Fleet Management, etc. My placement story has been one roller coaster ride. There have been so many ups and downs throughout this journey but by god's grace I came out victorious.
Placements: HIMT has good placement records and sponsorships. Our batch’s placement is about 85%. Most of them are under sponsorship programs and others received placements in various companies like D'amico, Sanmar shipping, and Eastaway. I was sponsored by IMEC. It's the International Maritime Employers Council. HIMT guided me to get through IMEC sponsorship. My starting salary as an apprentice is about 750 USD, and once I'm promoted, my salary would be around 2000-10000 USD per month.
Placements: I recently completed the DNS course from HIMT College. I found it to be a very valuable experience. If you want to join the Merchant Navy, this is one of the ways. To join this course, you have to give the IMUCET exam, then you have to take sponsorship from companies like Synergy, Fleet, VR, etc. Only then can you join this course. The placement is 100% for this course because you are already sponsored when you join the course. The starting package will be from $500 to $600. It will increase whe...
Placements: The B.Sc batch of 2024 saw 90% placement. The major recruiters are Damico, MOL, MOLTA, Eastaway, Marshal Shipping, Sanmar, etc. I am glad to have been placed in Sanmar Shipping with a starting package of 60,000. If you stay all clear throughout your semesters, you will definitely get placed.
Placements: The cadets should not have any arrears during their academic time. They are recruited by companies like Synergy, Damico, Sanmar, Maritime, Molme, Molta, Chellaram, Chellship, BSM, and BSW Dynacom. The batch which is about to pass out this year has around 80 cadets out of which 60 got placed. Last year’s batch had 90% placements rate.
Placements: It was always a better choice to choose HIMT College for my career progress, as today I stand proudly in front of my parents with a job in hand as I pass out. I am placed in D'Amico, and so are my friends too. HIMT College really helped us a lot in training for the interview.
Placements: I am glad that I have been placed at D'Amico through HIMT College, as are my batchmates who have had the opportunity to work for various shipping companies. Companies visit HIMT throughout the year and recruit us constantly. Even the junior batch placements are in progress.
Placements: Almost 80 percent of my batchmates are placed, including me, which is 100 percent of those who do not have arrears. Various shipping companies like MOL, Damico, MOLTA, BW Maritime, Marshall, and Eastaway visit our campus round the year and provide placement opportunities.
Placements: We had several companies like MOLMI, Eastaway, MOLTA, BW Maritime, Marshall, Damico, and Dynacom Tankers come to college for our placements, as well as all the students who were all with these companies. The college also supported us in training for the interviews.
Placements: The placement program on campus is good; we have companies like MOL Management India, MOL Tankers, EAST-AWAY X-Press Feeders Pvt Ltd, etc., coming in. To be honest, not everyone will get placed on campus, but management tries its best to get everyone placed in companies, even after passing out. Currently, 50% of our batch is placed, hoping to achieve 100% placement before graduating from college.
Placements: Most students get placements. Package depends on the company. Around 50% are currently placed. Students usually join as deck cadets, trainee engine cadets, and trainee electrical officers. Average package is around 400$ per month for foreign-going vessel.
Placements: Our whole batch was unplaced except for one student in the beginning. Although, throughout our course period, around 50% of the students were provided with the opportunity for an interview and got placed, the college stays in touch with students even after passing out to make sure everyone gets at least one opportunity for a placement. It is not the best in terms of the placement; they will not guarantee the placement either, but they will push our names forward to the companies.
Placements: To be honest, the college doesn't provide 100% placements but is based on the availability of companies coming up in campus every year and management is working on it. A cadet being all clear in academics without arrear is undoubtedly able to get placement as each one of them are given several chances to sit in company interviews. Several top reputed RPSL companies have been visiting presently (PIL, MOL, Goodwood etc.), recruiting cadets and I am one among them who got placed.
Placements: About all the students who are good at academics got the placement with very good fresher package some of our batch got placed in ITF companies, Rpsl companies. I am one who got placed by the college, and I'm really happy with the package too.
Placements: When it comes to placements, the college sincerely tries to get their cadets placed. A company when it comes for recruitment, they are more interested in / expects a student to know the pure basic knowledge about the field. If you can convince the interviewer that you know what you're talking, one can easily get placed. 38% of the cadets from our batch are placed in companies like MOL, MOLTA, Goodwood, Chellaram, PCL etc. And 2-3 companies are yet to come.
Placements: Almost all our seniors are getting placed in top companies like Goodwood, Torm, Aurus, etc. Seniors who were placed mentioned their salary to be in the range of 450$ per month as a starter. We go in as a trainee mechanical engineer after graduating and need to give exams to accelerate in our field, and the pay will increase with that. However, HIMT provides discounts and extra help to HIMT students to undergo training for the additional courses for appearing the exams.
Placements: Most of my batchmates have been placed in campus interviews. Students who didn't get placed yet will get an opportunity from HIMT to attend for placements. Companies like Goodwood, Posh, Ocean Sparkle, etc., visited our college for placements and selected most of us.
Placements: HIMT provides placements in top companies like MOL, PCL, POSH, etc. The best part of HIMT about the placements is their placement cell do not forget their students in case they pass out of the college without placements. Placements for our batch are still going on. In our senior batch, almost all the students are placed who do not possess any back paper at the end of the semester.
Placements: Course- B.Sc. . Nautical Science Batch B.Sc. Almost 40% students are placed till now. By the end of the course approximately 70-80% students will get placed who are all clear. Recruiters were - MOL, Goodwood, Chellship, MSI. Package offered to students vary from company to company. Average package is 400-600$ per month.
